Weird realization: Mindseye might be kind of a self-righteous (if well-intentioned) asshole.
Not sure where I want to go from that.

Considering she was raised by a telepathic tyrant on another planet, I buy it.
Starting the Sewage Plant incident soon!
Important question: is the armored person a robot?
No. He does however, have a very strong will.
Ok, the Charity Event has officially started. Note it takes place days after the Sewage Plant incident. I'll run them concurrently.
The only player we know so far will survive the latter event is Sewer King because he has stated he wants to attack the Charity. But come on, this is superheroes, and not the grim-and-gritty kind, I'm not killing anybody off unless the Players want to.

When might I step in?
Well, the Sewage Plant plot is almost over. The Charity Event is still taking form. But I'm already working on the next ones. One of them involves the Gem-Bearers, which would be perfect for Amethyst.
I do apologize for the lack of posting - I blame the six-day work week this week, and I won't have a day off until Saturday. Nevertheless, I'll try to hammer out an appearance for Xy at the Charity Event sometime tonight, or at the latest tomorrow morning or afternoon.
It's OK. The action there hasn't started yet -and may, in fact, happen in two places at once, from what Starbound told me- so you might get your pick of places to intervene.
Well, in any case, I placed Xy across the street from all the political action, as she's not as rich as those people are. That way, she can tap herself into any situation that occurs inside or outside of the Music Hall.
I'd like to remind our heroes that killing (or allowing others to kill) except in self-defense IS a crime, even if the target is a hired assassin.
I'm pretty sure beating the shit out of people on the streets is a crime too, but our heroes still do it.
The real point is how much is tolerated.
Or at least how much the media/police find out.
“Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?”Fine, you can kill Hollowpoint but if you do so, I'm changing your designations from heroes to villains (or antiheroes, if you are an accessory to murder.) Thought this may not have an immediate effect in the game. So yeah, better think about it.

"Do you want to throw him into the sewage system and let the ocean deal with him?"
Works for me.
Sure, it's morally and legally iffy, but also ironic. Plus the guy's scum; I don't mind if he dies, I just don't want the heroes killing.
...Besides it means I can always bring him back.

I don't really think you can dictate what a hero tries to do, that's up to the player. There are countless heroes in media with all manner of morality, why does everyone have to have a Batman or Superman approach when they could just as well go at things like Deadpool, the Punisher, or scores of other examples?
I just thought it'd be funny, TBH.
I'm do not dictate what players do. But this is a superhero game, and no, just because some people call characters like Deadpool or Punisher heroes mean they are; a real hero has moral standards. Besides, actions have consequences, if you kill someone without good reason you can't expect people or the police to respect you.
Btw the reason that Hollowpoint used the grenade was that he was in a state of desperation/confusion and not thinking straight. He wasn't being suicidal (not yet anyway.)

Also, I'd point out, you did leave "anti-hero" as an option in character creation, sort of like a D&D alignment.
I'm just guessing you're holding us to that choice.
Exactly. If I wanted a Black-and-White morality campaign, I would not accept Anti-Hero or Villain PCs.

I guess the labels would also be sort of public opinion. Like, the Sewer King is trying to do a good thing by stopping Superior Industries but his methods are questionable and the public obviously think he's evil.
“Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?”The labels are mainly to help me decide how to use the characters in the story eg. "so-and-so would fight or get along" and so prepare appropriate scenarios. Certainly, what a person really is and what the public thinks of them are not always the same.

Kudos where Kudos are due Dept.: Tails and Emily, nice role-playing (and thinking) there. Superior doesn't really know much about Sewer King, but they had heard of him and figured he might find out about their activities so they hired Hollowpoint as "insurance". And yeah, making them think Sewer King is dead (they don't care if Hollowpoint survived) is a good tactic.
Such as "I AM THE LAW!"
