@Legend (& Sijo): My plan is to have Topaz, eventually, turn Eris over to TALOS. A couple things there:

*First, she'll put Eris at her mercy by placing her in a magic binding circle, one designed to keep her from recharging her power. There, they'll have a chat.
*She bugs out before TALOS actually arrives, because she's not exactly buddies with them either. My idea, Mongrel and Dragoknight arrive, although the latter leave shortly after once he finds things under control. For Dragoknight, a detail, what does Eris believe Tartarus smells like? Like the stench of burning traitors? *Eris is read her Miranda Rights but she's also read something else, I was thinking. Something mystical but legal, some kind of magical law, most generally to magical spirits or down to specifically about the Greek gods or even just her and possibilities in-between. Any ideas?

@Emily (& Sijo): Re: The Singing Sisters: I had ideas about how they affect the Living Mythos, that the Titanic Narratives are especially drawn to song and dance, the oldest methods of story-telling. If any of the Living Mythos encounter those girls, they'll have their peculiar reactions.

*Umber, and the Shadow, will develop a heaping helping of autotuning. The Shadow is the essence of lies and deceit, after all. Also, if people would normally be aware they are being forced to sing and dance, they will be made unaware if Umber's caught in it (though, she'll still be aware). If, instead, Singing Sister's powers extend to obfuscating its influence, Umber's presence may either enhance or invert it, making them more aware, as it is also the Shadow's nature to corrupt and betray.
*With Dragoknight, the Conqueror's nature will flow through him. He will not be made to sing and dance. Attempts to make him do so actually flow out from him, ensnaring anyone nearby. Even if the song and dance influence is normally obfuscated or not, those ensnared will quite explicitly be made aware they are being influence, even if they can't do anything about it. They will made to feel terror as they are forced on puppet strings, made to sing and dance, espousing the glory of their new masters, Dragonknight and the Sirens. Dragoknight, being an upstanding hero-type guy, would be super uncomfortable and upset with this.
*War Dragon would definitely turn it into a competition, and she's got a battle plan to win it. If the sirens attempt to ensnare the narrative avatar of incarnate battle itself, it will mean war. At the very least, a dance battle.
*God-King would subvert the song to his glory, downgrading the Sirens to his back-up singers as the song is now about him, the main character and hero of this story, thank you very much.
*Speaking of dance battles, attempts against Dance Dance Rebel end in getting a taste of their own medicine.

I haven't given a lot of thought to whether the people compelled to sing by the Belladonnas are aware of it. I'd say that they are aware of it, but unless they're focused on that they usually won't really pay it any mind until they're done singing the song.

Like, they'll notice that they're singing, but unless they're super opposed to it, they'll usually be too busy singing their feels to do anything about it.

Once again, my apologies for being late, I've been busy. Game post coming up.

For now, TALOS is going to take a -VERY close- look at things going on in Easton. What this means is that if any player would like his character confronted by the organization (in any manner- everything from a fight to an employment offer) say so here and I'll arrange it.

Other stuff will happen too. Still working on the details.

Totally up for interaction between Mindseye and TALOS. The exact nature of the interaction doesn't matter.

Nothing about the Purging Flame that anyone wishes to discuss? I'm asking if it's safe to make a profile for Ansel Voight.

You can certainly make a profile already; the more we know about the character, the better it will be to judge him.

(and we already had Neonazis in the game, so I don't think the Purging Flame are that much of a stretch.)

[up]idea for that. Do not make him Southern.

I actually had an idea for a Southern Gentleman/Preacher type, but he's of the more reasonable, relatively moderate, type of anti-metahuman advocate.

I'm thinking the Human Helping Hand Foundation, lead by Louisiana politician Jean-Paul Lévesque. He heaps praise upon metahuman heroes for their selfless attitude, before he turns and condemns them for their brash arrogance, disregard for the law and overshadowing "hard working, one-might-say real" heroes, such as normal, everyday cops. He warns his followers that metahumans no longer understand the dangers and struggles of normal, everyday humans ("No fault of their own, of course."). That, in their blindness, even well-meaning metahumans can present a danger to normal humans. He even stands against metahumans going into the private sector, "They seek only to make a living to the best of their abilities, as any man or woman is want to do. However, these rare gifted individuals will oust the masses from their employment. We must harden ourselves and tell them, 'No!' The needs of the many, in this case, must outweigh the wants and desires of the few."

How would he feel about Charles and his robo son Axel?

Axel is quite clearly alive in the sapient sense, and deserves to be treated with respect, but Charles needs to not make any more goddamn true A.I., lest he replace humanity,

Also, if Axel could kindly, ah, go somewhere else where he can't take anyone's jobs, please and thank you.

[up] Oh boy. I can just imagine Virgil's reaction to this guy, what with his countless robot forces.

Speaking of which I'll be slowly building up his army eventually.

Oh and, about that entire post. [lol]

If your lol is in reference to the, well, references, I came up with the organizations name first, realized what it looked like and strongly felt the desire to hammer it in.

Nah I'm loling at the response I got when I asked about Axel.

Oh, well, Virgil, and Charles, are clearly super-intelligent metahumans. That's a thing, and they fit the mold. Mr. Levesque can understand why they would want to exercise their talents, but they cannot be allowed to continue in the face of far more numerous normal human needs.

Especially since Virgil is clearly in it for himself. Can't even make the excuse that he'll replace all human needs once he takes all the human jobs with his robots.

Charles and Virgil aren't even metahumans. They got that intelligence through rigorous years of study.

They're not metahuman in the same way Tony Stark isn't; if it weren't for Word of God, I'd have suspicions to the contrary.

That'd make it a fun debate between Charles and Jean-Paul. Talking about the belief in the human spirit, what classifies a metahuman and what doesn't, does human exceptionalism put down others, tall poppy syndrome and such.

And yeah, the two are just smart men who looked at current principles, studied, and made something new. They have a lot of fun university stories, some Charles would rather not speak of.

OH and I think I'll have either Charles or Axel interact with TALOS HQ.

As I said, I'm working on the next events so people can join them.

But first I need to know which of you want to get involved with TALOS (and how) so speak now folks!

I have the scene with Topaz and Dark Witch planned, which I explained already.

Unless I bring Amethyst back, which is likely if enough in-game time is given, I'll run around with Vicky.

Maybe Talos could be contacting Chafles to get him to build some robots for them.

OK guys, feedback appreciated. I'll work it into the game soon.

idea

Narrative Titan "Anatomy"

They're made of a myriad of different pieces (Normally). They have a "Setting", the Titan's extradimensional home as well as being a part of itself. They have an "Icon", which is its manifest self and too insane, too extreme, by most standards to have any kind of meaningful communication with. Then they have a "Cast", the component souls of the titan, a pantheon of entities you're more likely to have a conversation with. There's the Main Cast, headed by a Lead Role, with each Cast Member having it's own small host of a Supporting Cast. Now even these lesser pieces can manifest themselves in multiple places.

So, what I'm saying is, if you're speaking with a Narrative Titans, it's more likely you're speaking to one of its Cast. Still a part of the Titan, but a more personalized, relatively sane, part of it. To avoid confusion, the Cast Member will just say, "I'm [Titan]." Which is true, but they're also a separate individual, an aspect and nuance of the Titan's personality. Of course, depending on the individual, they will likely not make the distinction unless it becomes necessary.
