I may be a couple days before I can start but internet issue has been solved. Still have a big Work issue in my plate.

Vizier's Journal, Early Winter:

I think the hellion has finally gotten bored, and has stepped down for the time being. The pumpstack is, largely, set. Retaining walls must be built, as do all the pumps, and the channeling necessary for power transmission have not yet been dug. Speaking of power, when it was laid out there was a turn at the very top of the current stack that separates the stack parts... with no adaptation of the power supply to fix this. An unfortunate oversight. While perhaps ill advised, with so much sunken into it already, it's my hope that something will come of the pumpstack itself. A ready source of magma would be a useful addition to the fortress. The Caverns have, finally, been sealed. There were a handful of injuries, and a few deaths, but nothing major or noteworthy. We once again have more coffins than bodies, so there's that at least. Several immigrants (to replace the aforementioned corpses) had artistic talents, and I immediately diverted them performing in the temples. There's a distressing lack of the performing arts in this fortress, and hopefully this will alleviate that somewhat.

The military has been run a bit ragged, and has fallen into disrepair. Their ranks have yet to be replenished, though several suitable candidates are available, should the next overseer have a better temperament for military command.

Your run was amusing as Hell. He might be a twelve year old by your next turn. Maybe. Or even just a ten year old.

Yeah, sorry, I give up this go round. Work remains a problem and my heart's not in it at the moment because I know it will consume me for several days. If things improve after the next person's turn I might ask to step back up then.

Then Matues can step up if he's still game.
