Cinema Wins (Everything GREAT About...)

I found this Youtube channel today - Cinema Wins - that is clearly the Good Counterpart to the infamous Cinema Sins and their "Everything Wrong With..." series, and I got to say, based on the ones I've seen so far, it's pretty dang great with the comedy it manages to squeeze out of its optimism. I haven't watched many of the Cinema Sins videos, but from what I do know, it's pretty dang clear how much this is trying to be basically "Everything Wrong With" but with a 180 degree perspective flip. And it works so very very well.

Looks like it's doing both good and bad movies; it's a short list thus far, but so far its range stretches from the likes of much-beloved movies like Avengers and Finding Nemo to stinkers like Fant4stic and Battlefield Earth of all things, though with at least some of them it's pretty clear there's a mocking tone to the 'wins'.

So yay for optimism?

I wonder if Jeremy knows about this and what his opinion on it is if he does.

God, I wish that they do a collaboration on a movie some day.

I've seen at least one person from the comments mention the same idea.

I'd find it funny if CS took off sins and CW added them.

In a similar line, I totally want to see a CW and CS bickering over whether if they should add or remove a sin on a scene.

I actually have high regards towards Cinema Wins.

In my experience, it's infinitely harder to find something to praise about in a bad movie that it is to find something to complain about in a good movie.

Yeah, I should watch more of his stuff.

I think the only bad movie I saw him do was Fantfourstic, which was pretty good, although I disagreed with him on a few points.

I in general don't like copy cats though, lack of originality in naming is annoying

Question on my mind - anyone recognize the music that plays at the end of the videos and can tell me what it is?

been a fan since finding out about it on Reddit. Have not seen the Ultimate Edition, but i generally disliked the movie.

I don't think Cinema Wins was made out of dislike for Cinema Sins, but in general there are plenty of people that don't like the latter.

There are some people who dislike and don't watch Cinema Sins for legitimate ground, such as Jeremy/Chris' tendency to lack critical insight and eyes for details (Age of Ultron, for instance), its love it or hate it sense of humor, editing style, Jeremy's voice (hey, in a series like this, narrator's voice IS an important factor), etc.

And then there are people who are butthurt over having their favorite movies bashed.

it dosent help other sites like honest trailer manage to get a better feeling of the movie without going into "yeah, how much it suck!"

I share 1 trait with Jeremy: his love/hate for musicals. I like it when marketing prepares me by telling me out right that the movie is a musical. I hate it when I go into a theater without knowing that!

Doesn't have a video yet it seems.

Anyway, i kind of want him and Jermy to try to tackle Ben-Hur (1959) just because the remake is out. *i am still not sure why a 11 oscar winning movie needs a remake, espically one so old*

Captain America: The Winter Solider

I actually think Winter Solider is better than Civil War *Nothing against Civil War both are good movies, but Winter Solider edges it out.*

Agreed. Civil War is really good, but the plot of Winter Soldier is a fair bit stronger.

Jack Reacher.

Cannot say much about since i never watched it, but the director of this did MI 5 Rogue Nation, and that was great.

To be quite honest, Age of Ultron was a significant step down from the original Avengers. It was decent.

Does Cinema Wins have enough content for a page yet? He seems to put out a new video each week.
