There's a loud snap sound and a flash of light as a black haired, slightly pudgy girl wearing glasses appears out of thin air and immediately proceeds to fall flat on her face.
"Ow... What the hell..." She sits up, picking some gravel out of her skin and checking to make sure her glasses weren't damaged. She also doesn't seem to have noticed that she now sports fox ears and a tail.

An unnatural light falls on her, as something brightly glowing comes around the corner of a building, hovering a few meters in the air...

Doesn't seem so, since the light has a distinct source, and her surroundings seem otherwise ordinary. Said source is a cluster of radiant crystals, which hovers a little closer.

Well, best we can figure out so far- The mental voice cuts off suddenly, the crystals giving no sign, the "voice" also not sounding like it was planning to stop there.
