It is noted that in the general index about the various characters page, often there are many subparagraph. Why not simply use the index in the relative character page (there is already in some pages) and remove all the unnecessary subparagraph in the general list?

I can find nowhere on Character Sheets a note concerning subparagraphs. I also do not know what the relative character page is. Nor what the general list is, or what makes the paragraphs unnecessary.

Could you clarify what you are talking about please? Links would be useful.

[up]I refer to various main char.., secondary char.., villains, one-shot , ecc.. listed as subparagraph also in the general index instead only on the series page.

For example. Death Note has a characters page with an index. But, plus, all the subparagraph are listed also in the Anime & Manga general index. It is not redundant?

I see. Subparagraph == subpage. The relative character page is the main character page for a work. The general list is the general list of character pages. What makes them redundant is they are subpages.

And finally, this relates to the recent policy change that subtropes are not to appear on indexes.

But in this case, I cannot see anything wrong with the established practice.

Someone's going a bit nuts with the policy if they are taking away sublists in character sheet indexes. That's one place where they make perfect sense.

Granted, it doesn't help that this is one thing that we've been pretty inconsistent on anyway. Some character subpages are indexed wholly within themselves, while others aren't. There's no real rule either way, but someone attempting to impose their own needs to be brought in to discuss (not in the ban sense, obviously, since they haven't actually broken any rules) this matter.
