Previous thread. I'd originally voted to pull this, but now I think it could simply be helped a lot by replacing the current caption with the page quote.

Yeah, current caption's not doing it justice. Also, I doubt it has anything to do with the trope.
So +1 for the caption change in 2.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportI'm also +1 for changing the caption to the page quote. It is actually pretty funny in juxtaposition with the image while still helping illustrate the trope.
The image is a picture of the Trope Namer, I hate to pull it.

for making the current quote the new caption.
The third quote from the Quotes page (the poster one) looks like a decent replacement quote.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Is it just me or do a couple of the quotes on the quote page not represent the core idea? Like:
- Brain teaser
- The Music Man
- Malcolm in the Middle
- Todd in the Shadows
I prefer the Rebel Dream quote
Oh yeah, that one's way better.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Yeah, the Rebel Dream quote is a good replacement for the current.
Sounds good to me.
Done and tagged. Locking up.
So, the trope is supposed to be about someone deliberately trying to fail at something but ending up succeeding anyway.
The current image is from the trope namer but aside from the word "Hitler", it doesn't illustrate anything about the concept.
Edit: Disregard this, I just saw the admin's notice. I still don't know why it's there but, what you gonna do?
