A bit of necro because I need some help.

So, what is the minimum number of exiles that must be liberated to ensure The Plan succeeds?

I'm thinking of letting some nice dudes from the other teams have their day, but I still wanna reasonably guarantee the best possible ending that I only just read about this morning.

Just to answer your question: You need enough to get The Plan up to a 100% chance in the dossier to ensure it succeeds. The percentage it goes up by depends on whom you liberate. I can't find exact numbers for each character.

Ending super spoiler; don't read if you want to know the endings yourself: The Plan always succeeds anyways, but in the good ending there will be no rioting or deaths.

Also for those that haven't played the game again since launch, there's now a new game+ mode. It locks your difficulty to heightened (the hard one), and you have access to the modifiers from the beginning. Some matches even force you to play with them on. Experience is also limited, but you get access to all trinkets, music, and lore entries from the beginning. I think you also can't restart matches in it either, but I don't know that for sure.

Don't worry, I already read the ending spoiler prior.

Ah so the success rate on the team standings dossier is only for the chance of getting the non-violent revolution. Got it.

So now I have to minmax the exiles , or rather their percentages I get among those I send home so I get to throw the other teams a bone... so far, I've already ascended Jodi and Rukey and my The Plan rating is 50%... or was it 41%.

Actually, I kinda regret sending Jodariel home. I felt like I lost a lot from the remainder of the story by doing so, since I got to tie up Mr. Rukey's loose ends before he went.

Oh yeah, another spoiler question: when The Reader is sent home at the end, does that increase The Plan % for free, or what's on the dossier is what I get?

Again, I can't say anything for certain, but Volfred says that exiles with more connections or leadership will contribute more to the plan. I believe Jodariel adds a good amount, since she has strong connections with the army, and the fact she's a demon proves the tales of the scribes. I'd wager Volfred (when you get him) adds the most of anyone. I'd also wager that Fae/Mae/Xhae/Gae/Bae adds the least of anyone.

You'll always miss the story of the first one you send out. I missed Hedwyn's story my first playthrough. I sent him first because I thought he was the least useful but among the most deserving of the exiles. And it's impossible to tell the impact of the reader or whoever you send out last, since you can't use the dossier anymore. But you'd never choose your own freedom over your fellow exiles, would you?

Since I spoiled it, I know what to do when that time comes, and that choice will not be mine. Mwahahahaha!

As far as Hedwyn goes though, he fits my playstyle so he's getting some playtime. I just need a new decent goalkeeper and that Ti'zo dude ain't cutting it anymore considering the largest aura enemies just walk straight past him.

After beating the game myself, I watched another ending and found that it's possible for the revolution to be put down, but if it does, the Harps thrash the Commonwealth and a new government forms anyway.

So after each of my wins in each sporting event, the chances of The Plan succeeding seem to increase by about 2%, so even if the story continues with a loss, looks like it's to my advantage not to lose.

P.S. Screw you, The Voice! I hate you. [lol] (I don't mean in a meta sense... voice acting is awesome.)

[up] Ah, neat! I wonder if this is helped if both harps and maybe Hedwyn return to the Commonwealth.

I take a long break from this game, and I'm suddenly owning the enemy real bad rather than struggling and barely winning.

So about Presence and Sir Gilman, does it do anything for him at all? His aura doesn't seem larger, and neither are his slashes.

Just got this game on sale. It's pretty fun so far, and I'm liking the fantasy-sports-esque mechanics.

I picked up the game during the summer sale, and finally finished my first playthrough. Really enjoyed it. My core team ended up being Lae and Ti'zo — those two are scary when they're leveled up.

In order, I liberated: Jodariel, Rukey, Hedwyn, Sir Gilman, Almer, Bertrude, Volfred.

Finally finished it after putting it off for ages. Fantastic game, but there's something about the VN format that made it hard for me to advance by more than two or three Rites per sitting.

After learning of the endings, hugely regretted not letting Oralech go free, since he killed himself and all. Thankfully, you can redo the last Rite. I understand if you let him win you still get to choose, right? Gonna have to look up what happens if you free yourself. Also, is there any way to get Pamitha to reconcile with her sister? It was the most unsatisfying ending for me, unlike pretty much every other one (well, that and not letting Jodariel and Ignarius get together, I didn't want to concede any Liberations) I felt I did something wrong with that questline and don't know how to fix that.
