Well, the music is a bit too... action-y for me (if that makes sense). I like the iconic opening style of 1st Fear Effect, truth to be told.

Okay, now they put some Asian instrument into it, so it gets better.
But I still likes original Fear Effect music much more.

Remember the Fear Effect games from the PS 1 era? Looks like somebody wants to bring the franchise back from the dead!

It's not going to be the same as the previous games however. For one, it's no longer going to use the old Resident Evil style "tank" controls, nor will it use pre-rendered backgrounds. Instead it's going to be a 3D angled top-down view similar to the recent Shadowfall remake, and you'll be commanding the entire team at once (Hana, Rain, Royce, Glas, and several new mercs) instead of the constant perspective changes the previous games had.
Furthermore it's only in the early Kickstarter stages, and it's an indie project. Thus that means the whole thing could get canned if the dev doesn't get enough support early on. Not a comforting thought, especially given how shaky some Kickstarter projects have turned out to be, even when in the hands of a seasoned developer, but oh well, how else was this franchise gonna get rebooted?
