I'm surprised that they're apparently not revealing it during Celebration. Like, what's gonna go down over there (outside of some potential tiny teaser for VIII)?

The trailer will be revealed next week during Celebration and will be shown on television a couple of hours later. :)

Hopefully this one will get people going a bit more than the first one (which produced a decidedly mixed reaction) did. I really want this movie to be great.

Come on, trailer, show us some more of Jiang Wen's character already! (Or, on second thought, maybe don't - save it for the movie proper.)

Now, all that said, I also hope that they don't make the same mistake so many film trailers do, and effectively give away everything that happens in the movie. Save the best stuff for when we're watching the film proper - give us just enough to whet our appetite, make us want more, and make us curious.

That was what was so good about the trailers they put out for The Force Awakens - they got you curious and excited, but they didn't give anything away. They saved the real "wham" moments (Rey grabbing the lightsaber, Han getting stabbed, Kylo Ren removing his mask) for the actual movie, rather than undermine their effectiveness by showing them off early.

We already know the gist of what is going to happen so that is kinda a non-issue really.

SPOILERS: They steal the Death Star plans

I mean, there's a big difference between knowing little beyond "they're a rag-tag group of misfits who nick the Death Star Plans" and seeing all the movie's best moments months before it's even out?

Sometimes spoiling does a good job of increasing hype.

We also didn't get to see any of Mads Mikkelsen's character in the first teaser. So, I wonder if he'll appear in the new one? Also the other obvious question is, will they stick Darth Vader in any of the trailers, or will they save his appearance for the actual movie, as a "big reveal" if you will?

As the only source that tells us the planet is for some reason in German, for those of you that don't have a translation thing on your computer it's called Scarif.

Considering Vader's appearance has already been officially revealed, I'd imagine they'd fill some of those alleged three minutes with at least a little tease somewhere, but I guess it wouldn't be too shocking if they continued to hold back. (I mean, it'd raise my eyebrows, but there's also almost definitely a third trailer where it'd be even more likely to occur.)

I wouldn't be surprised if they took a leaf out of Rebels' book and ended the trailer with a shot of Vader - either that or simply his iconic helmet - and little sound and music but that of his breath.

Rogue One at Celebration now! I'm so happy I have the day off.

So they showed the new teaser trailer for the audiences there but not us at home. Bummer.

At least we got some awesome behind the scenes footage.

I believe it's going to be released tonight. It's slated to play during ABC's TFA documentary, which is airing at 8 PM EST tonight, so expect it to hit the web around 9-ish.
