His death was as a result of a major heart attack, according to the Los Angeles Police Department, who were alerted to his medical condition as a result of a call he made to an emergency dispatcher. Sadly he was found unconscious and unresponsive after they broke into his home in response to the call, and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
