Rhylu continues for a few moments longer, his eyes closed his focus all upon channeling his power for maybe another 15 to 20 seconds, taking deep tired breaths till he reaches the limits he's capable of.The glow fades, Rhylu's features returning to normal. The rune fading away from between his fingers as he separates his hands before looking up at Date, reopening his eyes that are briefly silver but soon return to their normal darker tones. The young man steps back, still with hampered breaths.
"Thats all I've got for now. Date-sensei." The divine energies in the air still linger for a time and from the blade but its clear they're weaker now, needing to recharge. Rhylu has a slight smile but its a almost worried expression. He peers over to Kokoro with a slightly apologetic look bowing his head a bit.
Village Plaza
"Urg, hey yo-" Mana tries responding annoyed to Yoshiki but is just elbowed by Ren."Sure, lets follow it." Ren replies with a positive smile. Though a curious look seeing the creature, gesturing that they should maybe move a little quicker to catch up to it and moving ahead.
Mana will opt-not to. Just keep walking at her slow, elegant pace.

Date starts to unwind the bandages around his arms, bearing his still scarred but no longer burned limbs. He also pulls the ones from around his head and eye, keeping the right one closed once it's uncovered, revealing that skin to be healed as well. "What you've done with just that amount of power is amazing. Thank you very much, Rhylu." He says with an appreciative smile. He grabs his eye patch off the nearby table and places it back over his right eye.
"At least now I dont have to walk around looking like a mummy anymore." He says with a humored chuckle.
Village
Yoshiki nods and picks up his pace as well, running back towards the tavern as well.
Meanwhile, Tarou has returned, idly watching the others as they head towards the tavern, wearing just the faintest smirk as he loiters nearby.

The creature squirms into the tavern underneath the door, their fluffy tail vanishing beneath the wooden frame as it's pulled through.
Once inside the creature looks around, seemingly searching for something. Or someone.

Kokoro looked at the healing, certainly amazed, that much was clear. "Wow, this was great." She looked at Date's now healed body, certainly this was quite the power. For now she remained quiet, although the amazement on her eyes was not really hidden.

Rhylu looked back and fourth hearing the reactions and... Well a wider, and more fittingly for his appearance a childlike smile appearing though it quivered slightly. "It's-. Y-your welcome."The young man, looking over to Kokoro with the same expression. "I-I'm just glad I could help." his face has turned slightly red.

Ren continues following, rushing along towards and into the Tavern, holding the door for Yoshiki to slip in as well. He looks at the fluffy creature confused for a moment. "After time adrift among open stars, along tides of light and through shoals of dust, I will return to where I began."
En Route to the Shrine
Sasuke smirks, "I'm an open book, it's just a book in a language most people can't read. Anything in particular you want to know?"Kotone, who'd been meandering near the middle of the group toying with something in her hands, looks up suddenly at the question, "I'm-" the object in her hand attracted her attention again, and her brow furrowed as her fingers worked frantically, "I, uh, I'm not very int- uh oh..." the object in her hands shimmers a brilliant blue and pulses intensely before exploding into a gigantic orb of water.
Polgara takes a step away from the water and pauses, looking over toward where Tarou is loitering, after observing him a moment, she nods, "Master Rentarou, we were just coming to find you."
En Route to the Shrine
"I... actually, I don't know. I'm not used to having these kinds of talks with other people." Tenzo says to Sasuke, scratching the back of his head. He abruptly stops when a gush of water explodes beside him, sidestepping the spray. He then feels something crawl up his skin as Tarou approaches. He grabs his own arm, stopping any signs of transformation before it even begins, but the uneasiness stays. "Tarou? We were just looking for you."

Yamada is nursing a beverage when he shoots straight up in his chair, eyes wide. In his stupor, he'd been aimlessly feeling out different auras with his senses. It was when he came upon something of incredible power and evil coming into this world, from the same area as what he felt before, that he was made alert, so much so that his control of his more human form gave way, and his hair turned more gray and his tail and ears appeared. The pain is less in this form, and he turns his head toward the door before glancing to the other spirits in the room. He hopes the others felt what he did.
"Yamada?" says Koneko, meakly.
"There's trouble," he answers, and stands. He notices the small white creature but his attentions are elsewhere, and he begins to walk after giving Mira a slight nod, ignoring his side, as Koneko follows. Nairube, aware of all this, gives him about ten seconds before following. He may be an old soldier but he can still help, even if it's with spirits. Wouldn't be the first time.

The Boss pulls back his hood finally, revealing a crazed man with pale eyes, a jagged nose more like a snout than anything, and sharp teeth. As his men step into the clearing, a definite chill can be felt.
"It's not about strength for what I'm after. Numbers will do me better. And besides..." he pauses, and his impossibly wide grin extends just that much farther, "...you won't be 'normal' before too long.

Mira gives Yamada a furtive glance and follows him. The white creature makes a tiny "eep" sound and follows after Mira, who seems to not have noticed them at all.

Date looks at Rhylu, noting his face. "Child? Are you alright? You look a little fatigued. So you need rest?" He asks, almost sounding like a concerned parent.
Tavern
Yoshiki quickly runs on after the white thing, juat barely avoiding Yamada and Nairube as they head towards the door. "There it is!" He says, watching as it seems to run towards Mira. He runs over, bit stops as he's close to the other adults to keep from running into them.
Tarou makes his way inside as Tenzo notices his reappearance. He sees Yamada and Nairube, their attention seemingly drawn to him, and gives them a subtle smile in greeting perhaps. "Were you now? Heh, well, here I am." He says, approaching bar and taking a seat. As he talks, it's subtle, but just the sound of his voice might seem to make the people on the tavern relax a bit.
Bandit Encamoment
As the man lowers his hood, the bandit takes a step back, and another as the man's subordinates enter the clearing now as well. "...What the hell have we gotten ourselves into...?" He quietly mutters to himself.

As Tarou passes Yamada freezes and as he sits the okami glances back. Nairube sees the motion and steps back, noticing the intent from Yamada and knowing his help will be lessened at this point. Things don't feel right.
"Kotone, I think we should step out," he says, just as Yamada draws his primary blade. The smell of ozone fills the room.
"You're bold. Stepping into a tiger's den, as it were."

Mira, assuming the "There it is" wasn't directed at her, focuses her attention on Tarou. Something about him seems off, that's for sure. But arousing his suspicion would help nothing, so she waits and sees how he'll react to Yamada.
In her thoughts, she doesn't notice the white creature clamber up her back.

Ren was about to follow Yoshiki but he hears the commotion on the far side of the room. The young man freezes, glancing over to others in the room still in the doorway though shifting to the side of it slightly.He wanted to be ready if something did happen, to move quickly and do something, anything whatever was needed to keep Yoshiki safe and if possible everyone else unarmed as well. He hold the rosary around his neck tight. Peering back to see if Mana was close but no sign of her.
Date's Shop
"Child..?" He questions turning back with a... conflicted look. He didn't seem angry or annoyed, offended even but like its something he didn't expect to be called. Sure he was barely a man, or by some or many standards he wasn't but it had been a while."I'm okay Date-sensei,just very tired" He reaches down to his side and puts a hand on it, wincing a little. "..and i'm still kinda hurt; that holy water only did soo much." his guard had dropped a lot right now, he didn't have a stance that was trying to be proud or strong, not trying to be the fighter or survivor, the immortal but... just being Rhylu. Atleast that's how it'd probably seem for people.

Tenzo follows the group back inside the tavern, and thinks about taking a seat as he feels more relaxed. Watching Yamada snaps him out of it, however, and he shifts the way he stands a bit defensively.

Kokoro watched the two talking, asking herself how old Rhylu was. After all Date also was 1.000 years old. But seeing him flinch brought her thoughts back. "Master? Should I get the healer?" There was a visible amount of concern on her face.

Kotone nods meekly and heads outside, but scrambles up on top of a barrel to peer in a window.
While Polgara lounges on a barstool working on a bit of sewing, Sasuke steps forward, making pacifying gestures, "Come now, Yamada. What's come over you?"

"...Heh. I'd think with you, the term wolf's den would be more applicable." Tarou says, and turns in his seat to look in Yamaha's direction, wearing a calm, practiced smile. "That said, this is my home. You make it sound as if I shouldn't be here. Something you want to say?" He concludes.
Yoshiki watches the encounter, making sure to stay out of the way. He looks over to Ren, concerned, and he might note something strange about his eyea at that moment. "Ren...why is the wolf man pointing his sword at the...I don't really know what to call him..." He asks, percieving both Yamada and Tarou's inner forms without really realizing.
Date's Shop
"I'm not sure, Kokoro...that might be best..." Date says, looking Rhylu over intensely and also noting how he addressed him. It gave him an odd, but good feeling. "...Do you think you need a healer, Rhylu? I could probably manage your physical wounds, but..."

Tenzo mirrors Sasuke and takes a step forward between Tarou and Yamada, though not coming directly between them. "What the hell's going on?" He asks everyone else present, all the tension and Tarou's unusual behavior confusing him.

"Wolf man..?" Ren responds confused, pausing. Ren's looks at Yoshiki, a familiar glint in his eye as he realizes and looks up. Drawing upon his Yokai side to have a look exactly what Yoshiki see's.Looking at anybodies magical, spirit selves. Whatever that may be for everyone.
Meanwhile he leaves from the door and moves over, trying to supportively put a hand on his shoulder and huge Yoshiki away slight from it. "I'm not sure, stay here though. Let the others handle it." He tries to request, worried and not sure whats happening himself.
Date's Shop
Rhylu shakes his head. "I don't want to involve anyone else. I'm already a danger to you just being here. I wouldn't want to leave my presence on anyone and risk them getting hurt by people hunting me...""I wouldn't mind if you'd want to try..." Still with the lowered guard, just speaking naturally from within. His last sentence was almost a request it sounded, a perhaps desire for company.

Yamada's grip tightens on the hilt of his blade, and he winces as he makes use of his spiritual power. Tendrils of electricity jump from the length of the weapon to the floor, and a slight wind picks up.
"You won't fool me with your words," he says, gripping his side lightly, "Even without this pain I could smell your deceit."

"Smell, huh? So a man is a monster because he doesn't have the coin to spare at the bath house every night. Good to know." He answers Yamada with a chuckle. "That said, I'd really suggest you cease in this transgression. What you got in our little spar before was nothing compared to what you'll get now." He concludes, his smile quickly fading as his hand now rests on the hilt of his sheathed katana.
"I don't know, Tenzo. I was just thinking to enjoy a drink and some...company." he says, obviously glancing at Sasuke as he says the last word. "Then all of a sudden, I have a blade pulled on me. What's this great realm of ours coming to?"
Yoshiki doesn't resist Ren easing him away from the conflict and he nods. "Okay. I juat don't want them to hurt one another..."
Date's Shop
Date chuckles. "I so not doubt that for a second, Kokoro. I trust you to get it finished." He says with a smile. "And well, if our guest doesn't mind it, I see no harm in you assisting me."
Date gets up and heads over to his worktable, going into one of the drawers and pulling out a rectangular metal box. "Let us head back inside my house for this."

"...Ugh..."
As the world slowly starts to come back into focus for Tarou, he gingerly pushes himself up to a sitting position, placing a hand over his right temple and rubbing it gently. "You think as a spirit, a kick to the head wouldn't be as effect from a physical person...damn that demon..." Looking around, he sighs at his surroundings. "...I need to get back to my body. He's already made it back to the village...and I can sense him planning something not good..."
With a bit of effort, Tarou manages to make it to his feet, staggering just a bit as his disorientation hits him again. "...Damn. This weakness persists... I'm going to have to be careful here..." As he starts down the path leading through to the forest ahead, the surface of the shrine's pond begins to bubble. Pausing, he turns to look at it and in the next moment, it explodes like a geyser, sending water flying everywhere. Tarou takes a quick step back as it subsides, and out of the pond and over him now looms a giant looking eel like creature, it's body decorated in intricate, glowing markings. It lets out a shrill screech, it's eyes focused completely on Tarou, who can only quietly face palm in response, taking a more combative stance.
"...Well. So much for being careful."

"Alright. Do your worst." Date nods and keeps still. As Rhylu does his thing, he waits expectantly, watching as the runes appear."...Hmm..." As the light surges, even he has to close his eye to keep it from bothering him. He feels Rhylu's power surge through him, warming and slowly starting to heal his burned body. He opens his eye a bit and looks at the bits of his skin visible beneath the bandages on his hand, watching them return to their natural, healthy state. "Well, I'll be..."
Path to Someone -> Village Plaza
As Ren and Mana go back and forth for a bit, Yoshiki objects, looking determined. "Hey, dont write me off just becauae I'm a kid! Sure, I have lots of stuff to learn, but I'm full of potential. And attention span? Do you know any other kid that practices calligraphy for fun?"
After saying that, he looks back, seeing the thing seem to scamper off towards the tavern. "Let's go after it." Yoshiki says as they finally reach the village proper, following after it.
Spirit World
Sonome Temple
Tarou jumps down from the tree, landing with a crouch. He stands up...and immediately jumps back in surprise as he finds himself looking at his own face, the one of his actual body. "..."
"Hi, Tarou." His body responds, giving a casual, yet dark grin.
"...What are you doing with my body...?"
The demon's grin widens. "You know exactly what I'm doing, Tarou. You're uneducated, but you aren't stupid." He starts. "You left it laying around, so I'm taking it for a spin. Indefinitely." He concludes simply.
A brief silence passed between the two, both Tarou and the demon staring one another down and seeming to see who was going to make the first move.
Finally, as the staredown continued on for another minute or so, Tarou made the first move. His hand was quick and he pulled off the belt of his kimono before flashing out with it towards his body's head, hoping to distract the demon as he sidestepped to try and grab him.
Unfortunately, that didn't work. Before Tarou could manage a step, the demon lashed out with his hand, catching his wrist and gripping it tight. As soon as he made contact, he felt his wrist start to burn as if it were clasped in a burning iron. "Aaargh...! What...?"
The demon shakes his head, chuckling. "Tarou...surely you realize what you are right now. And what I am?" As the demon's words sink in, the severity of his current position dawns on him.
"...If you destroy my spirit, you know what will happen to yours. It would be suicide."
"Exactly. Which is why I'm not going to do that. Willing separation however... such as you leaving the body of your own volition just now...This is something completely different. As long as I keep your spirit alive, I can have free reign of the body." The demon sneers and grips Tarou's wrist even tighter, putting him in even more pain before tossing him.
Tarou hits the ground at the foot of the steps, grabbing his now burned wrist on an effort to try and soothe the pain. He could feel his vision start to fade in and out, it being too much in his already weakened state. "...Shit...Urgg...you aren't...going to get away with this... they'll...find you out..." He says weakily, glaring up at the demon as he approaches once more.
"We'll see about that. Too bad you won't be seeing anything for a few hours." As he says that, the demon casually raises his foot and brings it down, and Tarou's world goes black.
