Of all the human fights to bring back from the first game, I have no clue why they thought we needed the obnoxiously designed garbage that is Saika Magoichi and his infinite "I'm going to fly and teleport behind you and break the camera" habit.

And by this NG cycle shooting him out of the fucking air doesn't do anything at all and he's still regaining ki even as he's bouncing off the floor†. Because 'make a stupid fight worse' was great. -_-'

† there is, technically, still a final blow window. It's a split second whilst he's bouncing so you already have to be in position on top of having shot him down.

(Maybe if I took off the penitent stone and wasn't like 100 levels below the recommendation it'd be easier, but I said screw that and went and uh... did Mr. Kappa and Mataza and Ryomen Sukuna in the later area instead).

I'd prefer it if he'd be a stylish corpse.

Anyway, now in Dream of the Nioh.

It's hilarious to be picking up level 190+36 gear. I did Otakemaru with 180+25. And like 200 levels below the level rec.

(Sadly, trying to farm Izanagi's Grace is going to be an exercise in insanity, I can tell :T)

So, of the three things I've tried so far, Izanagi's/Susano'oh is far and away the most practical (albeit I need another yasakani magatama with the latter on it to get versatility), albeit part of that might just be also really liking tonfa. The onmyo warrior/tsukuyomi combo suffers from "but I can only regenerate one thing at a time!" and forgetting to dodge because I want to use magic. Benkei/Magatsuchi... well, when it works, the damage is great. I just potato at splitstaff. The switchglaive side is neat, though, even if the switchglaive mystic arts are still an odd one.

That and I'm so used to phantom burst counter that having a brute one for a change confuses the hell out of me. [lol]
