Well, the AOS writers can also simply shuffle them back into AOS. That would be pretty easy.

I like how even a thread for a TV show that didn't get picked up somehow turns into another Mandarin debate.[lol]

Well that's kind of the thing, IIRC they got disavowed, SHIELD nor any US-based agency can acknowledge that these two exist lest they set off international conflict. This was so airtight that Team Bus just gave them a silent farewell, rather than actually saying goodbye.

So to have them instantly return to the team next season would be a hard sell.

I wonder if there is a chance that another network picks up the show...

[up][up] I said that they could return, I didn't say "instantly." And I didn't say that they would be working for SHIELD either. There are a few options, actually:

  1. They import the storyline they were going to do in Most Wanted wholesale over to Agents of SHIELD. This is probably unlikely, since it would mean splitting the show in two, really.
  2. They include Bobbi and Hunter in some non-SHIELD capacity. Since Daisy is also not part of SHIELD anymore (and, in fact, being hunted by them), this would work — Daisy could team up with Bobbi and Hunter to do something away from SHIELD or to investigate corruption in SHIELD or something.
  3. Bobbi and Hunter find some way to unburn themselves and rejoin SHIELD. Not impossible - in fact, in Burn Notice, Michael Weston eventually started working for the CIA again in an official capacity (although that ended up not working out so well).
