@Lemurian: My assumption about the war plot idea was that it did not involve Hirane directly; it's just two of the other nations going to war with each other and that's causing tension and the occasional fight between members of the associated species within Hirane.

...ah, yeah, that makes sense. Also much less dramatic for the RPG.

Also wanted to say that I'm having tons of fun working on explanations for the workings of the shrine, in case it wasn't clear. tongue I love this kind of "behind the scenes" worldbuilding. grin

[up]Glad to hear :), I guess I'll soon make a dedicated Pantheon part for the Lore where this can be shown if you would allow it.

Also personally I was thinking about another war between Centaurs and Orcs - as you may already have guessed from the lore they're what one would call sworn enemies since quite a while and even now in 'peaceful' times they have the occasional border conflict, so it'd be not a real surprise if those small skirmishes would escalate into a full blown war again - which is exactly what happened multiple times in the past. Would have the added benefit that since Hirane is between them there could be some influence to the town directly without it becoming real much, like a small group of soldiers passing through where everyone could have the possibility to maintain neutrality, help or hinder them, without causing too much of directs consequences for the rest of the town, for example one could be like, 'Oh you're Centaurs? Okay, then my wares cost double/half the price for you', something like that, you know. I'm not really thinking about doing anything more direct like an invasion since that'd be a bit too dramatic for now (or at all for that matter), though such small things should be okay. Would everyone be okay with that?

That sounds good to me. Sorry my posting's been sparse so far; after I'm back from work and taking a nap tomorrow, I should be a lot more available over the weekend.

I'm going to try to post my first post now. But be warned, not only do I do terrible character intros but I also have a little writers block.

Edit: I hope my post was good. If I did anything wrong just tell me and I'll try to fix it the best I can.

Edit: Also, I did choose The Dancing Armor as the name of the forge.

Looks mostly good, though I'd say that you'd work less for the Royal Guards and more for the Heavy Guards, the Royals are the Elite of the elite in Hirane, so it would be pretty unlikely that they wouldn't have their own dedicated armor-smith, the Heavy Guards though would certainly contract some privates for that as long as the quality is right

[up] That part was mostly because I got there but I didn't know what regiment he would make armor for, in fact I actually put the heavy guard regiments on there first but changed it at the last moment. I'll change it either now or tomorrow morning.

Got caught up with stuff after work that I wasn't anticipating tonight; also couldn't think of what to post next yet. Should be able to have something up tomorrow night, but it could be fairly late.

Oh yeah, and I've been meaning to ask but keep forgetting to, @Lemurian: How old is Abigail? I was wondering about whether or not Ysersya might've met her dad before her exile from Demonia.

You know, I now regret not just putting an Age thing in the Signup template - sorry - that was stupid from me. I'm going to add one in now (probably additionally to the expected lifestpans of the various races), you can add the thing into your signup sheet or leave it as is, I certainly won't disallow already allowed characters for not using it - I'd be a gigantic asshole if I would, doubly so since its my fault to begin with.

Edit: Okay, added it to the template along with the normal life-span of all races.

What's up? What should I do? From what I can tell there's nobody in line at the bank?

Hiya, welcome to the RP

For what you should do, I would say search for somebody to interact, note that I'll have a small event coming up in the very near future though. Also I presume you meant Nouct with the bank question?

I've been waiting for others to post; TV Tropes forums are usually quiet on weekends though.

Also I'm gonna be a bit on the busy side this week, but I should be able to make response posts at some time or another every day except maybe Wednesday.

Eheh, I'm one of the few who were relieved to see no Age-section of the SU. But I suppose I kinda have to put an age on her now that someone's asked. tongue

Lessee...I was thinking Abigail was still somewhat fresh and starting out as a healer, kinda like a doctor who's finished all her training. So...I'm thinking she's in her mid-twenties, but because of her slowed aging due to her genes, she looks late teens/early twenties.

EDIT: Added some more deities to my previous post in Worldbuilding. smile

@Lemurian: Ah, so Ysersya almost certainly wouldn't know her father then.

@Sergey_Smirnov: Speaking as another GM again, I think keeping an RP's momentum going even if it means forcing people to handwave sometimes is a much better option than always waiting for everyone to post.

Because a lot of times, somebody is going to end up leaving the game without saying anything about it. So you could end up waiting for somebody to post who's never going to post. People simply not posting and the game losing all its momentum is another way RPs on this forum tend to die.

[up][up]Kay, thanks for the info, guess I'll make another GM post very soon then (really thanks, as said, his is my first RP as a real GM instead of a player, so I'm pretty new to this whole stuff.)

Also I think I'll make another rule here, if one doesn't post for one entire week RL-time I'll consider him or her as on hiatus or dropped out, now, I know RL always has to come first but I do think it should be very possible to check a forum at least once a week for a few minutes (or more depending on what is done, but I guess you get what I meant).

[up][up][up]Yeah, just search for a PC that currently isn't in an interaction to introduce your PC, you can also always create adventurers and start an interaction this way.

At some point I'll probably add some ~totes goffik~ materials that are common in the items that Kelaer sells. Also, what sort of metal would you say goes into the guards' armour? I think mithril is a bit too pricey to be outfitting every guard.

Also, Lemurian, would it intrude terribly on your pantheon ideas if I were to include a God/dess of Rebirth (or some similar motif) that Kelaer could pray to?
