As the opening argument completely mis-interprets Suspiciously Similar Substitute, I think this one's pretty much done. Declining.

I've noticed apparently people mix up Expy and Suspiciously Similar Substitute. From what I know characters from the same franchise cannot be expies, they are Suspiciously Similar Substitutes.
Ninten and Ness are both from the Mother series. They're from the same franchise.
