I did a search and didn't see any Forum listings for this. Correct me if I am missing it.

I am wondering how many people here play the browser-game / Facebook game Mouse Hunt

The game is a passive browser game in which you choose traps and set them with various kinds of cheeses you buy with in-game gold (there is a real money pay option to load yourself up with lots of cheese, but I don't use it and don't know anybody who does). You also craft various cheeses, traps, charms, etc. to capture a collection of various weird and magical virtual mice. I find it surprisingly fun for a waiting-style game. The object of the game is just to capture as many different kinds of weird mice as you can, kind of like Pokemon but without the active battle aspect.

A friend turned me onto it some time ago. She's been at it for 7 years and has achieved ultimate rank. I'm a newbie grinding my "Hero" rank and I've caught a variety of interesting and mysterious mice. I find the main draw of this is the artwork and the unique passive nature of the game. You set traps and leave them, just like if you were trapping real mice, except these are weird fantasy mice. You go off browsing Facebook or somewhere else and sound the horn for your trap, or just leave it for days on end if you want. I find the art and descriptions very creative. My favorite so far is probably the Stonework Warrior mouse because it reminds me of one of the Colossi if Shadow Of The Colossus . As far as seasonal events I've been on, I've found the Halloween Trick or Treating the most fun. (Possibly because I like dark things, so all the ghoulish Halloween mice were awesome).

So, who plays? Favorite mice? Ranks? Favorite crazy cheeses? Favorite events?

Luckily my parents were into this and competing in tournaments sometime ago and were of the highest rank, so my dad gave me enough gold for better equipment and Super Brie to last. I started just last week and I'm 13% away into being a Master.

I swap between two traps depending on my mood: Mouse Death Bot if I'm particularly violent by wanting to trap mouse with due force or an NVMRC Forcefield if I want a higher luck. My base was a wooden target until I changed into an Explosive base, charms are a Prospector's Charms that adds more power to my trap. I do every area save for Valour areas. What attracted me the most in game is the art and effort put into the mice and traps. I use Brie cheese even before my dad helped me out.

What's yours, if you still play it?
