Kenneth lumbered towards a hatch and crouched to look down into it before he made any rash moves. He waved back to Lilifo vaguely and dismissively. "Yeah, please do. We can't afford not t—oh boy." Kenneth watched his own blood drip down into the hold; even with thick sap in his veins, his injury was pretty bad. His eyes widened and he fell backwards onto his butt.

"Okay, I think this is maybe a little worse than I thought." He tapped at the broken harpoon sticking out of him. "Maybe we should work on this first. Could someone lend a knife so I can cut this out?"

"Yeah, here... whoa, that looks bad," Lilifo said, coming over to Kenneth. "You gonna be okay, big guy? Hey, does anyone know how to patch holes in trees instead of people?"

It's been fun.

"A good bit of healing magic will do the trick, but it is nothing serious if we take care of it now with some good fresh bandages and a bit of alcohol to clean out the wound." Kenneth said calmly. "I mean, if anyone else wants to do this, be my guest, but I just thought it would be much easier to do it myself." He took the knife and held it up. "This is the chance of a lifetime, people." He joked.

Mago shrugged. "My apologies, Kenneth. I would help, but none of my spells involve healing." He turned to his fellow spellcaster. "Rowan? Can any of your... cards assist Kenneth in his current predicament?"

With the extent of Kenneth's injuries apparent, Guide dug through her memories collecting up all her knowledge of healing and restorative magic, pouring the contents onto her wings and shedding them away for new pages, handing the contents to Mago, the spellcaster most likely to be able to make use of them in at least some small manner. With that set, Guide pointed down into the hatch and waved over to Lilifo before fluttering down to try and see if the Gith had any medical supplies they might possibly use.

"Oh, how convenient. Thank you, Guide." Now equipped with some healing magic, Mago prepared a spell... then stopped. "It would probably be for the best if we removed that harpoon first, if possible. Otherwise you'd end up permanently skewered."

"In that case, allow me to do that." Kenneth said. "If I'll be healed anyway, no need to be too precise."

Wincing in further pain, Kenneth dug the knife into his waist on both sides. By widening the incision he could wiggle the harpoon freely, and it slid out with a wet sucking noise, dripping with dark green sap. He'd done this before back in the watch, but this time there wasn't any crying, no rookie desperately wondering if they'd make it. It hurt, but Kenneth was fine with that. All part of life's give and take.

With the harpoon removed, Kenneth could finally shed his chest-piece, leaving the robe-plate lying on the deck. His chest was similarly thick like the rest of his body, plenty of bulging muscles or whatever, but dark vines threaded through his chest too, three in particular clearly leading to his heart. "Oh," he said, and flexed his body around experimentally. "That's a lot better. The armor's so stuffy sometimes. Let's get this wound healed and I can get downstairs and start working."

As Guide sets off further into the ship to find medical supplies... well, she can't read the Gith's language natively... but after chasing for a little while on some likely locales she stumbles onto a wide case or long chest secured onto a corner of the ship with clasps keeping the thing closed despite shaky movements. There was no lock on it, though she'd guess that opening the clasps would be a little bit loud. Inside, should Guide manage to pull the clasps open she'd find... a full set of medical supplies for use in battle wounds! Neatly arranged in slots for every thing... after all, the Gith are quite a bunch of vicious raiders... but they are also quite an organized military. There were the components of a first aid kit, some more specialized tools, bandages colored green after having been treated and doused in healing potions, a few vials of regeneration potions, something that appeared to be the cure to a couple common ailments and even a bigger bottle, labeled with three doses of a strong healing potion.

"Oh, looks like we hit the jackpot," Lilifo said, coming up behind Guide to take a look into the chest of supplies. "Here, leave it to me - I'll get these back to Kenny in no time." So saying, she gathered up an armful of the supplies and headed back toward the main deck.

It's been fun.

Guide nodded and, after picking out a few select objects of note (namely the bandages and regen vials) and placing it in her sash, followed behind Lilifo carrying the strong healing potion above her head, supported by tiny arms and a touch of her telekinesis spell.

Mago tried not to show his revulsion at seeing the inside of Kenneth's body, and barely succeeded. "Right... uh, hold still." He followed the directions on the paper that Guide had given him to the letter, and tried not to think about what could go wrong.

Rowan, seeing that the healing situation was well in hand took a chance to inspect the ship with an appreciative eye. "She's a nice ship." He commented off-handedly as he ran a hand across the railing as he approached the wheel.

"Been very mistreated of course but with some repairs, and a little bit of polish, she could be great, don't you think?" He asked, taking ahold of the wheel and testing the steering.

Guide popped up out from the little hatchway, hefting the sizable (for her) healing potion over to Mago and Kenneth, setting it down gently beside the two of them. Taking a quick breather, the fairy opened up her sash and started carefully laying down some of the supplies she found down below, giving them a quick look over wondering which would be best for someone of Kenneth's unusual physiology.

Mago's hasty efforts thankfully brought results as his magical energies seemed to make it so Kenneth's blood started closing the wound a bit more effectively... though he was still in a pretty delicate situation.

As for Guide, the potion did seem like it would be helpful for Kenneth... and looking at the healing supplies, the big man would definitely have need of bandages and the like in order to keep the wound closed once it was sterilized.

Rowan would find that the steering seemed be quite good... indeed, the wheel spun with surprisingly ease... and though they were moored and the ship wasn't set to sail at the moment, it seemed nicely responsive.
