The name, and the trope description, both refer to serial works in which one episode/installment revolves around the election. The trope is being used to refer to both single episodes of serial works and stand-alone works where the whole plot revolves around an election (see: everything in the Film section).
We should change the name to Election Day or something similar and revise the description accordingly.
