Children of the Ancients

This is the discussion thread for the RP. Talk about anything that we've got going on over here. Not really much more to it than that.

Guess I'll christen the new thread with a couple of questions, if that's okay:

Do the kids have their own place to sleep, or do they bunk like in PJO?

Is there a single leader or is it more of a council deal (perhaps with representatives from each pantheon?)

Would be there any existing conflicts between pantheons or do people generally get on alright?

For the sleeping I guess that will vary from person to person. Some will prefer to live with their mortal family and some will have their own home.

Depends on your age. If you're a younger kid, you live with your parents, should they be in town, or the communal barracks if they aren't. Once you're sixteen, you can get your own place, but some still like to stay at home.

I'll admit to not having thought of a council. Mind if I steal that idea?

Mostly, there's good relations by pantheon, though some friendly ribbing does take place, particularly if the two cultures in question were rivals in the past, e.g. Greece and Persia. However, there can be quite a competitive streak between demigods with similar powers, like Zeus and Thor. And heaven help you if you're a death demigod or something similar, if only because of the perceptions of the more closed-minded.

Well the start is promising, though I probably should ask, another RP I was in died down because the tone wasn't set and everyone just did their own tone, since I'm ready to learn from my mistakes I'll just ask before too many thinks happen:

What will be the tone of the RP, lighter, darker? Focus on fights or on Interactions between PC's (or both)?

(Sorry for not asking that earlier, just came to my mind now after I did some Archive Binge from said RP)

I know we probably shouldn't stray too close to Percy Jackson, but I feel like we should keep a similar tone to that. Like, somewhat lighthearted and snarky but also not afraid to get dark at times.

I'm afraid I never read or saw PJ, but yeah that description sounds fine.

Now that that is out of the way, lets make this to the longest running and largest RP on TVT XD.

A question for everyone. Do you want a small-time mission to start with, or should we go into something big right away?

I forgot to ask, are there mythological creatures who hang out at campus? Satyrs and dryads and that?

Hm... the father for my second character got approved of being a Centaur, so I think yes.

How much time do I have to post before the main quest starts?

I think we'll start it on Wednesday. I got nothing on my plate IRL, but other might not be able to say the same.

Other than general University stuff I'm free, so I wouldn't mind
