Weren't the transformers not part of the cinematic universe?
Frankly, I'm not even sure if the cinematic universe is even happening at this point. I just posted the news here since it seemed more fitting, being a Hasbro property.
Is there a main Transformers live action thread? I only found of Bumblebee and The Last Knight.

SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY. Beast Wars was my jam as a kid. It’s really the only Transformers stuff I actually ever got into. This is the most hype news I’ve ever received from this franchise!

Oh. So. Uh. You’re throwing out the Beast Wars premise and just going to be making it about the characters, but following up on the continuity you’ve been developing. I mean, that makes sense. It’s still about the characters I grew up with and loved, so I can deal. Compromises in adaptation and all that.
“The main protagonist will be the same Optimus Prime as the other films. In this movie, he battles the Decepticon villain Scourge, who has been abducting Autobots and also some Maximals from Beast Wars.”
Oh. Oh. So it’s Transformers 7, guest-starring some characters from Beast Wars. Okay. I thought you meant... okay. I get it.

I thought they said a while back that Bumblebee is the start of a new continuity and has no more ties to the Bayformers films?

Yeah it’s listed in the BB continuity.
It’s only the 7th movie in that’s it’s technically the 7th live-action movie like how BB is the 6th Transformers live-action movie despite not being in the Bayformers continuity.
