I have an antagonist who I intentionally overpowered, just for kicks. He captured another character, and the title explains it from there.

So, what would be a creative way to screw with this individual. One example would be for the antagonist to force the captive into a state of monochromacy. Total color blindness. Imagine one day opening your eyes, and perceiving the world only in black, white, and shades of gray. Not only is this horrifying, mind you, but the mere implications carry their own weight. How did the antagonist do this? Did he.. Remove the cones from my eyes? Did he... Rip color away from everything near me? Which would be worse? What ELSE could he do?

Please, as the title suggests, get creative with this. This character is a reality warping physical god, and there's numerous ways to do the same thing, so have fun with it.

Transformation. Not just turn "him into a newt" though, but turn him into an ant, a frog, and a falcon. The ant part of him wants to survive, the frog part of him wants to eat the ant, and the falcon wants to eat the frog. Have it so that the moment that he tries eating the ant, he realizes that he is ALL THREE AT ONCE.

if you want to torture someone, you should play on their greatest fear. so if the prisoner is afraid of water. turn him into a fish for example.

otherwise, I would suggest reading a bit of lovecraft for inspiration :P

You should mess with teeth, hair, cavities in the body, pores, and eyes. Imagine feeling your top teeth growing, until they grow and rip through the bottom of your jaw. Imagine your hair, turning into something metallic, and then becoming ingrown, stabbing your very own brain. Imagine, pulling anything, disgusting, slimy, bloody, right out of your... for the sake of PG-13, I'll say cavity.

Or imagine the pores in your body being filled in, and you slowly have your body heat up. Or imagine one's eyes slowly sinking into their head, and then, one day, smacked/kicked back out. Or do anything with scraping, for example, scraping one's teeth with a fork, which isn't as creative, but it makes people cringe.

One's greatest fears, the primal fears, phobias, and creepy spots can all be turned into things of horror and cringe, but not cringe in a bad way, but cringe in a freaky way. Its one thing to not be able to look at an image, but not being able to read a part of a story? That takes more skill for horror writers, but it usually has to do with fake love and/or deception, and then all of this brutal horror.

This story you're writing probably isn't horror, but the biological torture has hints of horror, so you may see yourself slightly changing genres, but its okay to have a bit of a genre shift for moments like this. Also, make sure not to cross the line between gross and horror. And make sure everything is subtle, and finally, make sure that people have questions. Answering everything takes away the fear of mystery.

Also, if you want more creative biological torture, I recommend reading works of Lovecraft, he doesn't focus so much on torture, but the horror, so it may help. But I loved answering this, my favorite genre is horror. Although, it does make me sound edgy. Please don't think I'm edgy, I just like horror.

The abstract confuses us all, but the settings on the DVR confuses us all in secret.

Hmmm, torture isn't usually my thing, but I will give it a shot!

Let's call it, "Fragmenting", the subject's skull cap is removed and probes tipped with microscopic "scissors" worm there way through the brain tissue, as they do so they snip and cut the brain neurons. Slowly but surly, parts of the subjects personality and memory are taken away as there brain is being deconstructed from the inside out. All of life's most precious moments, the first kiss, graduation, getting the winning hit at the T ball game, all of it gone forever, and there is nothing they can do about it...

Nah, that's just a fancy take on lobotomy, ooh, how about this:

The subject is hooked up to a life support machine, then, with surgical precision, they are taken apart piece by piece, first the toes are cut off and caulderized, then the foot, then the lower leg, next the upper. The the same is done with the arms, next the torso is skinned, the intestines pulled out like fat spaghetti on a fork, the liver is next to go. When only the heart and lungs, hooked up to a sort of HL machine, to keep the subject alive, are left, the eyes are scooped out. Of course some super charging drug must be administered beforehand, to maximize pain and to make sure the subject dosnt fall into a state of shock.

Do absolutely nothing to the torture subject itself, but rather, subtly warp reality around it so that certain rules normal logic would stop functioning. Might take some time, perhaps a year, but the subject's mind will ultimately go into a tailspin when observable reality becomes antithetical to reason itself.

Alter all/some sensory neurons to make them extremly sensitive to minimal stimulus. To the point a slight breeze feels like a thousand daggers stabbing, the light of a single match becomes a blindening inferno.....
