Also, the original deal with Sci-Fi as far as continuing the show meant that future seasons would have to pay royalties to them.

It seems that, because the books themselves take a 30 year time skip between this one and the next, they will probably continue Expanse as a "New Show" continuing the story as a means to avoid continuing the Sci-Fi royalties.

They haven't been subtle that there are intentions to adapt the remaining books and that the actors are interested if waiting until the finale aired to renegotiate contracts for future projects.

Further, they announced that Expanse video game featuring Cara Gee as Drummer and that would feel like a *really* strange choice to make if the game was going to get released what could be a year or more beyond the series officially ending.

I heard this show has Khlav Kalash, so now I feel the need to watch it.

Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.

Finally watched this show, hot dang was it good.

Save for series four, the first half of that dragged in a way I didn't expect from this show.

Okay, I've made it about halfway through season 5 and I'm having a hard time continuing. I really enjoyed the first three seasons, was okay with season 4, but I absolutely despise Marco Inaros (not in a fun way) and his magic idiocy inducing superpower that belongs in another show and his level of focus just keeps rising. If I find him and the entire 'Free Navy' plot agaonizing to watch, is it worth continuing?

Season 6 is only six episodes long, so yeah.

That plot does get resolved, just not in season 5.

[up]So the Marco Inaros plot continues right to the end? Does it at least shrink in focus somewhat? It's a bit hard to see how it could continue and not suck up a lot of airtime given the connections to our 'main characters.'
