Okay, so I have found myself in the privileged position of having access to professional-grade recording equipment, actors and sound engineering. I have co-written and recorded a couple of plays with the rest of the troupe, but the progress is slow largely due to our speed as writers and we want more scripts.

So, I decided to come and seek the aid of tropers in the form of a contest. If you want to write something and have it acted out and recorded in the form of audio, you can do it now!

Please submit either a short story of under 4,000 words or a radio play of under 10 pages (you can submit more than one and/or divide them into multiple parts that size if you want to go crazy and write more) either in the form of a link (google drive, dropbox, whatever) here in this thread, or in the form of an attachment emailed to heliocentricradiotheatre@gmail.com with the subject line "RADIO PLAY SCRIPT". If for some strange reason you can't submit in either format, feel free to contact me through a PM and I will figure something out.

There is a preference for horror, because the producer loves horror, gore and violence. That said, the genre will be irrelevant if your work is good.

Feel free to submit as many short stories or radio plays as you want. The winners will get to have their story acted out, will get the final copy of the radio play sent to them in whatever format they choose (.wav, .mp3, .ogg, etc), and may get a poster design (again in a format of choice, .jpeg, .png, etc) for their story emailed to them as well (depends on whether or not the artist has time to do it).
