Paid "subscription" to not see ads, next year?

I paid the - I think - $25 on Kickstarter to get 1 year with no ads, which presumably started in January 2015. It works fine, except I get logged out every few months and have to log in again.

But what happens in January 2016? What are the plans? Where can I find info? I'd be happy to pay some kind of subscription for a continued ad-free experience, depending on the price. But right now I'm just interested in information about what's going to happen, what's planned, etc.
