I'm catching up on the series right now. Have they ever considered just letting Chloe die? It seems like they would have to fight substantially fewer villains if they did.

Yeah, but you wouldn't want the akumatized people to feel bad about killing anyone once they turn back - even if it is just Chloe. They're the real victims here.

Aside from Ladybug deciding to not protect Chloe from an Akuma that was going after her specifically, no. And even so, Cat Noir still stuck around because, well, she's friends with Adrien.

Since France is getting the Christmas special on Sunday I have to wonder when the rest of the world will get it.

Just got caught up, I definitely think doing the Origin story mid season and Vulpina as the finale is one bit of episode ordering that the English version did better than the French because Vulpina definitely feels like a finale as in at least a small way the status quo has changed and it ends on a direct hook for the next season.

Right now I'm betting that Lila will get the Peacock miraculous and become Hawk Moth's minion.

Well, you haven't seen the spoilers, but everyone who has a miraculous has some sort of small "hint" in their color pallete and character design. Adrien has a black shirt with a green stripe, has a chubby, catlike face. Marinette has a black jacket and pink leggings, and has more of a long face with big, bug-like eyes. By this logic, the peacock would probably go to Nino. Hes got a rather pronounced nose, a cap to hint at the crest on a Peacock's head, and to top it off, a blue shirt with an eye design.

Except for La Paon being clearly a woman.

From scrounging the internet, I see that a lot of people want Nino to get Wayz. t would certainly be great to see Wayz in action, though it does leave me worrying for Master Fu.

Also, I was thinking that as the show explains previous legendary heroes as the result of miraculouses, it'd be interesting to match them up. I was actually thinking that Achilles and Samson make a lot of sense as creations of previous Hawk Moths. If the arrow which pierced Achilles' heel also destroyed his sandal or something where his "akuma" was hiding, he'd have lost his powers at the same time.

This works similarly with assuming Samson's "akuma" was in his hair. He lost his powers when it was "destroyed" and as the akuma wasn't captured, it returned to him when he was ready to be a hero again.

Problem with Samson is that an akuma doesn't attach itself to a person's body, just an object on the person.

Admittedly, I did consider that. It might be explained by being attached to a hair tie of some sorts.

Wait, I haven't been keeping up too well. When did we see the Peacock Miraculous user???

Edit: Looked it up, and it's just more stuff from the NYCC panel I missed. -sigh-

I've seen fanart of Nino As the Turtle miraculous user and the Peacock one. Both are really good so I can't decide on which I'd like him to be, but I do hope he becomes one.

The idea of course was that Nino would get the peackock after Le Paon is dealt with.

I liked Marinette's song. I also liked the borderline Lampshade Hanging it had: "So Chat shows up after Adrien disappears, and I have proof that they were both here? There is only one possible explanation! An akuma victim has Adrien and Chat is trying to save him!"

I guess I'll need to avoid AO 3 and this thread then until the english dub.

English dub will be out on Netflix/Youtube in a week. It's not airing on TV from what I've been led to believe.

Oh god, please please please don't let it be Korra all over again. And if it is, make the dub anyway so at least we can have it. Good thing we don't have to wait months for it, color me impressed.

Well, the dub's getting made no matter what, because there's still the UK/Canada/Australian releases, and those are handled by Disney, IIRC. Even if the cast is US actors.

Hell, isn't that how we got the English episodes months before they aired stateside? The dub aired in like Australia or something?

Yeah, if a dub shows up on Australian television, you can expect the entire series will air. They always air a season back-to-back, no waiting for a new episode to release.
