...Is hawk moth (as in the species) even 'hawk moth' in french? I'd think it would be something entirely different.
Here's some pics of the official look at the other Kwamis.
I think my favorite is the bee Kwami, so cute.

So either the peacock Kwami is going to be a crybaby or it will have a story to tell.
Maybe both, either way it seems like the crying will be comical from the picture.
Why do I have the feeling that the fox Kwami will be an anti-hero?
"We be we baby!"Because Foxes as associated with tricksters and Kwamis are not supposed to be used for evil?
In regards to butterflies, I saw a butterfly at mass once in the pew in front of me. I told me grandmother, and she said that butterflies are a symbol of the Virgin Mary. I guess we Irish treat butterflies differently than the rest of Europe?
Although, I do know of a butterfly that drinks blood. And in Ireland, we have the hummingbird hawk moth. Those things are BIG. And fast. Maybe Hawk Moth can teleport?
To the new kwamis, the peacock does look pretty sad and blue, (maybe Nathaniel will get a kwami?) the bee seems kinda stuck up, (like queen bee Chole!) and the fox looks like someone who enjoys pranks and joking around. (Lila? Sounds like Lila the tall tale teller!)
Edit:Just learned that butterflies have been viewed as the personification of a dead person's soul. The evil akuma's just became way creepier.

Please allow me to introduce myself, I am a man of wealth and taste. Nice to meet you, hope you can guess my name.I'd prefer Lila to only be the evil Volpina and have someone else be Kwami Volpina. Then there could always be extra tension on whether if/when Volpina shows up whether she's good Volpina or akuma Volpina.

Oissu!Makes sense.
Does anyone know if there is a fan fiction forum for Miraculous Ladybug?
Please allow me to introduce myself, I am a man of wealth and taste. Nice to meet you, hope you can guess my name.I don't think so.
Non Indicative UsernameI just made one over at the fan fiction forum.
Also, I just noticed something very interesting about the painting of Adrien's mom. Her dress is covered in eyes! And we know Gabriel has the Peacock Miraculous, so yeah, Mrs Agreste had the Peacock Miraculous.
Please allow me to introduce myself, I am a man of wealth and taste. Nice to meet you, hope you can guess my name. That's a common fan theory that's been floating around.
I'm also a fan of the one that has Adrian's Mom owning the Butterfly Miraculous and Hawkmoth Gabrial being the previous holder of the Peacock Miraculous.

"But if that happened, Melia might actually be happy. We can't have that." - Handsome RobI am aware of how common the theory is. I just think that the painting having eyes for the dress is more evidence.
I don't buy Mrs Agreste being the previous holder of the butterfly miraculous for a second. Remember, when we first see Nooroo, it is stated by Hawkmoth he managed to find him. Which means that Hawkmoth had just found the Miraculous.
Please allow me to introduce myself, I am a man of wealth and taste. Nice to meet you, hope you can guess my name.He could have discovered that his wife was the peacock holder and then his life was in danger. His wife gave her life to protect him, and now he wishes to hurt those that took the one he loved the most.
"We be we baby!"I think he planned to use the butterfly miraculous to force the cat and ladybug miraculous' bearer to appear. Then seize them in order to unlock the ultimate power and bring back to life Ms. Agreste.
Your first sentence is accurate as the Origins episodes outright state that that's his plan.Your second sentence? Not so much since we don't even know who Hawk Moth is yet.

I think that's just a lucky casting choice in English? Does that hold true in French?
What are you asking about? Do you mean...
._.
Well that's
definitely not suspicious
The only way to really hide that is to have the actor play a ton of people so the audience wouldn't immediately assume there's a connection, or to have the villain persona be played by a different actor.
However, while it's pretty obvious that Hawk Moth is Gabriel, I agree that we don't know if he has sympathetic goals yet. A Freudian Excuse and/or Despair Event Horizon? Very probably. But the ideas that he's doing what he's doing to bring back his wife or do something else that's good but misguided are all fanon at that this point, since so far all he's done is act like your average "become all powerful muhahaha" supervillain.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Honestly I don't really think Hawk Moth/Mr. Agreste is even supposed to be a mystery to us.
From what I've seen in fanfiction, fanon is split so that about 20% think Hawkmoth is not Hawkdad. About 40% people think he's a terrible person and or trying to use the Miraculous to track down his wife who left him. And the other 40% think he is a tragic villain of some sort whose main goal is to revive his wife.

"But if that happened, Melia might actually be happy. We can't have that." - Handsome RobAll I know is that most people think he's Gabriel.

L'Hawkmoth is just really awkward to say in French probably (Hs in front of words are silent and the 'th' sound doesn't really exist, closest sound to it is 'd' or 't').
