He heard Ben's suggestion to use a wish to help save her...

Of all things he could hear considering his line of work.

"I have an idea with what I can do with the wish." Gon spoke to Ben after hearing his concerns. "But I'll probably just use it to get back in time to save someone who's been hounded by her boss for having incriminating information with the Russian mob."

Gon sighed.

"Unti that time comes to use it, I'll be content with a break. I could use one."

"Not really a god; just god-like powers. You wouldn't have immortality and omniscience... Unless you gave yourself either of those," Miss Tairee clarified to Ben.

"You could set limits of what you can't do, aside from the required ones," Tset added in.

By then, Louie had walked over, followed by Thomas. "Of the things you said, Ben? I think I'd go with not having to hide your omnitrix and such," Louie suggested, pointing to the wrist-mounted device. "Pokemon are everywhere in my world; everybody's got at least one, and they're a part of our daily lives. I don't have to worry about hiding them or anything like that, just like Thomas and his magic," the trainer continued, motioning to the young wizard.

Thomas glanced aside and fidgeted awkwardly. "Well, that's actually not really true," Thomas muttered.

"What? It's not? But you said you go to a whole school just for wizards and witches," Louie responded in confusion, turning to Thomas.

"I do, but we're not supposed to let any of the m-, the people who can't use magic to know about it. Anyway, it's not important right now," Thomas replied, and shook his head. "Personally I think using the wish for anything other than making your world better would be kind of irresponsible... But, it's your wish; you should do what you want with it."

"Wish for a big-" Jackson started to say, before another cable shot out from Tester and smacked the man's mouth. "OW! Alright, alright," he muttered in frustration. Then he seemed to think of something, and started smirking and snickering.

"I would've gagged him by now," Tset commented to Tester.

"He is still allowed to speak, just not certain things," Tester replied.

Then Tset looked at Gon again. "You know you could just, wish the whole situation away, right? Bring her back to life and make the mob stop trying to kill her, just like that?" Tset pointed out, snapping his fingers as a metaphor. "Or are you one of those types determined to solve his problems himself?"

Ben sat in thought, listening to both Louie and Thomas' contributions (and pointedly ignoring Jackson's unwelcome addition).

"You're right, Thomas," Ben said simply. "I should come up with something that is gonna help everyone in my world. And I think I know just what I should wish for..." He looked at the Omnitrix, turning its display towards his alien form of Vilgax. He sighed.

"Vilgax, my worst enemy. He's a threat to everyone and everything in my world. And if I don't do something, he'll conquer so many worlds and kill so many people. So for my wish..."

He hesitated for a moment, then furrowed his brow.

"I wish that Vilgax was locked up forever. So that he can't hurt anyone or conquer anything ever again. My whole world's gonna be safe from his evil for the rest of eternity."

He looked back towards Louie. "You're gonna wish for us to be able to visit each other again like we talked about, right?" he asked. "Even if Vilgax is taken care of, there's still evil all throughout the multiverse. And the Knights can take care of it! Not to mention our friendship, and..."

Ben's cheeks flushed slightly. "Seeing Eve again..."

Hercules had been pacing a bit for the last couple of minutes but he had also joined Ben and the others at the front desks in this short span of time. He was trying to figure out what to wish for, it wasn't an easy task to make but he imagined everyone else was thinking the same thing as he was.

"Hmm would it be considered...I don't know copying from someone else if I also said the same thing that Louie said about visiting other worlds?" Hercules finally piped up once he came up with something. "Or does it need to be my own?" He then added sheepishly.

"That was the plan," Louie responded with a nod. "I'll use my wish so that we can see each other again, and... Oh yeah, Eve too," he continued, not sounding entirely enthusiastic about Eve. Then Louie looked at Hercules with an eyebrow raised in confusion. "But you'll already be included in my wish, Hercules; if you wished for the same thing, it would just be wasting your wish."

"In fact, why don't we get it taken care of now," Louie decided, stepping forward to the desk and looking at Miss Tairee. "I want to use my wish so that Ben, Thomas, Herc, and I can all visit each other and everyone else we want to go visit too, like Eve and uh... Whoever else I'm forgetting! And don't make it really hard for us to get to each other either!"

There was a writing sound in the air and soon Writer's words appeared in their vision.

"Miss Tairee is on break today, but your wish will be taken care of."

Louie turned his attention back to Ben, and gave him a wide grin and a thumbs up.

"You talk about wasting wishes and you're doing corny stuff like that?" Jackson snarked.

"Would I get in trouble if I hurt him right now?" Thomas asked.

"Negative; you would not get in trouble for that," Tester answered.

Thomas drew his wand and aimed it at Jackson, then paused and contemplated it. "... Bah, you're still not worth it," the young wizard muttered, and put his wand back away.

"Oh, that supposed to make me feel bad because, 'you're better than me' or something? Well, it didn't," Jackson remarked, and snickered a bit.

Ben's eyes widened a little as Louie made his wish, then he rushed back over to the table where he had sat before. He grabbed the list that he had written down before, listing himself, Thomas, Louie, Eve, Hercules, Rean, and Lewis.

"Here's the list, Mr. Writer!" Ben said, handing it to Louie. Jackson snarked at their wish, and Thomas readied to do something horrible to him with his wand.

"Shut up, you sicko," Ben replied. "If I didn't have bigger fish to fry than a jerk like you, I'd have made sure you were locked away forever too. The only reason you think it's a waste is you have no idea what having real friends is like. So go jump in a lake!"

He turned towards Thomas and Louie, looking up to them with a look of determination and finality.

"So... I guess this is it, huh? We're gonna get to go home. Even though this place stinks... there's gonna be stuff here I'm gonna miss, gotta be honest there. And I'm honored to work with you guys as part of the Knights. Might be a few days of relaxing before I come visit. I need a break... a real one. Anything you guys wanna do before we head home?"

"Please don't say it like that, it already hurts. We were just talking about this. This is why I don't want to do personality death."

I took a sip of coffee uncomfortably. "I feel like it would be faster to just brainwash him into not being a rapist or something, but that's probably not allowed, is it. Weird coming from me, I know, but I'm trying to commit to this 'restorative justice' thing. Is that the term? Either way, this seems kinda pointless when I don't think he gives a shit about being punished. Anyway...

"Is there...any way to just blanket include everyone's friends, and friends of friends, and so on without a super laborious process of going around asking every person we think of if they can think of more people? Or would that be too much? I'm guessing there's no adding someone to the network later, is there."

Silanea looked at Lewis with some more confusion. "Why does it hurt? Everything is working out for the better, and we will all be much better off when we return home. Isn't this almost exactly what you wanted to accomplish?"

Meanwhile, Tester spoke up. "He does not fear any consequences placed upon him here, because he believes that none of them will matter once he returns to his home."

"Yeah, did you all forget that we're never seeing each other again?" Jackson said, and laughed. Slowly, the laugh trailed off, and he looked back at Tester. "Wait, what do you mean, 'I believe none of them will matter'?"

"I meant exactly what I said," Tester replied, his synthetic tone coming across just a little threateningly.

There was writing heard in the air, in soon Writer's words appeared.

"The three of us would prefer not to connect all the universes of everyone who has been brought to the city. I am also hesitant to allow any of your wishes to continue to be changed long after your departure... Though I suppose under the circumstances, since you did save my assistant, either of those could be arranged."

"Well I think there's some jerks we definitely don't want to see again," Louie remarked, folding his arms and casting a glare over at Jackson.

The library

Ben winced when Lewis suggested connecting the worlds of friends, and friends of friends.

"I don't think it's a good idea either," Ben said. "I just wanted to make sure the City Knights wouldn't be separated after we leave the City. Yeah, there's so many City Knights that aren't around anymore, like Caro, Simon and Kamina, Spyro, Grimlock... I don't wanna open up the gates that all the horrible people of the multiverse can wreak havoc on every world that exists." He sighed. "This kinda stuff is complicated! I'm going for a walk. I need some time to think." He turned towards Thomas, Louie and Hercules, pulling the three of them (or at least as much as he could pull someone like Hercules) into a hug.

"I can't wait to see you guys again. You guys keep being the heroes your worlds need," he told them. He then let go, sighing.

Ben stepped away from the desk, stepping towards the door. He was ready to go home, but a part of him didn't want to leave his friends. But he was also just tired. It had only been a month but it had felt like years. It was exhausting. Horrible at times. But a lot of good had come of it in the end.

He hesitated by the door. Ben smiled slightly towards the center of the library.

"If there's one thing I'm happy for about this place... I think it really taught me how to be a better hero. If no one has anything else they wanna do with me or talk to me about... I think I'm ready to go home. How's that work?" he asked to no one in particular.

Tset shrugged, glancing over at Tester. "There's just no helping some people, is there?" Tset asked rhetorically, then turned his attention back to Gon. "Well, whenever you're ready to go home buddy, just say the word, or feel free to stick around longer and do whatever here."

Meanwhile, over at the door with Ben, there was a scribbling sound in the air, then he'd see Writer's words.

"Whenever you have decided the manner in which you would like to be returned home, simply say the word; or think it clearly enough. We will then send you on your way."

"Hey, hold on Ben!" called Thomas, heading over to follow Ben, with Louie close behind him. "You said you maybe wanted to do something? Sorry, I didn't mean to ignore you; that guy was just really annoying," the young wizard added, glancing back with a scowl at Jackson.

"Hmm, what could we do? I'd suggest the buffet, but we just ate," Louie said, thinking a bit. "My team would love doing some exercise or playing outside, or we could go to that arcade."

"Perhaps the movie theater to watch something together. We could even ask for something we couldn't watch back home," Thomas suggested.

Louie blinked a couple times. "What, like something we're not supposed to watch because it's too violent?"

"I was thinking more along the lines of, 'couldn't watch it because it doesn't exist in our worlds,'" Thomas explained.

Without waiting for an answer from Thomas or Louie, Ben marched right up to Tset, looking up at the Director's assistant.

"Hey, do you know a really good movie that the three of us could watch at the theater that aren't from our worlds?" Ben asked.

Library, lobby, because Tset is also kind of a Fanboy

Tset glanced down at Ben and raised an eyebrow. "Well that's an easy answer," Tset said with a grin, getting out his flip phone and seeming to dial on it. "After all, your universes aren't gonna have the movies of themselves; though I guess that's technically not a fair comparison with your two friends since they don't come from Director universes. There are movie versions of their universes, but there's a whole bunch of each. As for you, finding any of yours would have been a problem before, but while the situation with the evil Sekreh was going on, our bosses broke out the old records and made backups of the universes of everyone here, just in case everything went wrong, they could reset the multiverse."

There was a cut in the air, and a few slips of pink colored paper appeared, which Tset quickly snatched in his free hand. "I know that probably goes a bit over your head, but the important part is that the original versions are available through the Bleeding Effect again. That means you could see what would have happened in your future, if y'know, this whole thing hadn't happened," Tset explained, offering the three movie tickets in his hand for Ben 10: Secret of the Omnitrix.

"Yeah, you boys have fun now!" Tset said, then turned his attention to Tester, still holding Jackson. Tset narrowed his eyes a little and tapped on his phone some more, muttering, "now about this piece of work..."

Meanwhile, Louie shook his head as Ben made his challenge. "Last one is a what?" Louie asked, sounding just a little horrified.

"It's just a saying, Louie," Thomas assured the trainer, waving an arm as he tried to run out after Ben. "Come on, let's go!"

Louie didn't let his confusion stall him for long, and he quickly ran out of the library as well.

With the shifting the way it currently was in the city, the theater was just down the street when Ben exited the library. As Thomas ran out, it didn't seem like he would catch up to Ben; Louie however, was taller, and fairly athletic, so he was catching up quickly and would overtake Ben.

Ben looked back, seeing Thomas and Louie following him, and seeing Louie starting to gain ground.

"Think you're faster than me?" he laughed. Then he grinned, looking down at the Omnitrix to get an edge in his little race to the theater. He adjusted it mid-run, then slammed his hand on the watch's face. With a green flash, he transformed into XLR8, who immediately zipped into the theater.

Stopping at the cinemas, XLR8 flashed the ticket in the direction of the computer screen that selected the movie.

Hercules looked at Tset rather sleephishly when he told him that the Theater didn't have tickets even if it was possible and then remembered he had already seen two films there. "Oh right, of course, I knew that." Herc replied back cheerfully without another word he gladly took the ticket and rushed out the door to the Library and outside towards the cinema.

The theater, a personalized gift

"Wha- Hey, that's no fair!" Louie called as Ben zipped away as his super speed alien. Louie got there next, and Thomas got there last. (In fact Hercules would overtake Thomas and reach the theater before him, unless the Greek demigod purposefully held back.) "Geez Ben, isn't there at least supposed to be a chance that you'd lose?" the young Pokemon trainer remarked in a joking tone.

As for the movie selection machine, it did not have any evident way to actually scan the tickets Ben had, so nothing happened... Then there was a cut in the air where the machine was, and the screen changed.

Now showing Ben 10: Secret of the Omnitrix in theater 10. Showing will begin in 60 seconds. Popcorn, drinks, slushies, and other snacks will be delivered to you in the theater when the movie begins. Enjoy!

The '60' before the seconds then changed to a 59, then a 58, and continued counting down.

"Well, that should be enough time to select our seats. Let's go," Thomas said, and made his way into the theater proper.

When the countdown reached zero, the theater actually began to play previews and trailers first instead of going straight to the movie. Rather than being similar properties, (or things that were releasing at the same time as the Ben 10 movie in real life) the trailers were for the universes of where the other City Knights were from, and of everyone else that was being connected to their universes through Louie's wish.

The theater, heading in to watch the movie

XLR8 grinned, transforming back into Ben as he pressed the button on the watch.

"You think I'm not gonna be the first to see a movie about me? Guess again, guys. This is gonna rule! Now hurry, let's get some seats!"

As soon as Ben entered and picked a seat up front and center next to Thomas, he gestured for Louie and Hercules to enter as well, waving them to where he was sitting.

The lights dimmed and the trailers began. Ben was immediately awestruck and watched the trailers in hyped interest. Louie's Pokemon trailer was first and Ben fist-pumped, looking completely psyched to see Pokemon in action for once.

"This is so rad!" Ben whispered, nudging Louie's shoulder. Thomas' trailer, by contrast, was much moodier and more atmospheric, but the mysterious and mystical air caught Ben's attention and curiosity.

"You gotta tell me more about this magic stuff when I come to visit your world, Thomas," Ben told the wizard.

The tone changed immediately when it came to Hercules' trailer, as the Muses immediately led the trailer in with a gospel choir. The catchy music had Ben's toes tapping, and he got excited to see Hercules in fighting form looking awesome.

The Black Cat trailer confused Ben at first, but catching a brief glimpse of Eve told Ben all he needed to know. Ben sighed and smiled, eager to see Eve when this was all said and done.

Rean's trailer was next, and while it started off slow with young men and women starting a new class in school, it quickly picked up with battles against monsters and robots.

The last trailer, Lewis' trailer, wasn't even really a trailer at all, just a short blurb of music and a flaming skull bouncing to the beat. The word 'Mystery Skulls' appeared on screen, and within about 10 seconds and the trailer was done.

"Well that was weird," Ben muttered. "But catchy." The words 'Feature Presentation' appeared on screen.

"Oh man, looks like the movie's gonna start soon. Wonder when the popcorn's coming in?" he asked. "I'm hungry for a huge tub of popcorn and a smoothie..."

Movie theater, theater 10

Louie and Thomas were both surprised as the Pokemon trailer started up. Thomas had a mild interest, while Louie was nodding knowingly at the Pokemon shown off, but looked at the human characters shown with a mildly confused frown. "So those must be those, 'main character' guys," Louie thought aloud. His Pokemon meanwhile made various noises at the different Pokemon they saw on the screen.

"Do you know them? Or anything about them?" Thomas asked Louie.

"Nope, but I'd sure like to take them on in a Pokemon battle," Louie replied. As the Harry Potter trailer was going, Louie glanced over at Thomas. "What about you? You go to the same school as these kids, right?"

"Yes, but not the same time," Thomas answered, shaking his head. "From my understanding, and the date it is in my world, they aren't even born yet. Besides, I'm going to make these events not actually happen with my wish," the young wizard explained. Then Thomas turned his attention to Ben when he requested to know more about magic. "I'll be glad to show you, Ben... Though I'm not sure if you'll be able to do any. In my world, you have to be born able to do it; I've no idea what happens with people from other worlds."

"I wonder if any of my Pokemon could do magic," Louie commented.

"... Louie, some of things your Pokemon do already might as well be magic," Thomas pointed out after a short pause.

"Oh yeah, I guess you're right," Louie admitted.

When the trailers were ending and Ben wondered about the snacks, Louie looked back over at the door, expecting to see somebody walk in to deliver popcorn and such to them. When Louie then turned his head back, he saw a large tub of buttered popcorn was sitting on his seat rest, next to a big cup of lemonade, having just appeared while he wasn't looking. The same thing was happening with the rest of them, with a large tub of popcorn along with a drink they'd been wanting, plus another snack they might have been craving. Even Louie's team were included, with Ace starting to bite his beak into rice crackers, Lil' Sunny suckling on a bottle of honey, and Goldeneye being dusted with a powdered mix of sugar and cinnamon, while the other three Pokemon started going at their popcorn buckets. It seemed like the popcorn buckets were impossibly never going to run out, either.

The sounds of them eating were being reduced in volume by some other effect, so none of it was ruining the movie experience, thankfully.

Theater

Once Herc caught up with the others and headed for the screening room, he then sat beside Ben as the trailers started. Herc didn't really say much about the Pokemon trailer when he was watching it but he cannot deny that he was intrigued by the many Pokemon that were displayed onscreen. The next trailer came on, Hercules let out a: "Wow." Thomas' world or rather the Harry Potter trailer was very mesmerising to the Demi-God of Olympus, and as soon Ben and Thomas started talking about magic, Herc couldn't help but say to him: "I'd like to do some magic myself. It sounds magnificent from what I've just seen."

Unlike Louie, Hercules immediately caught on that he had popcorn at his seat and not just he had gyros, Herculade, along with a Mars Bar which to Herc he had seen before in the lobby at the concessions stand but never had tried one before, and there it was infront of him. Herc then took a sip from the Herculade cup from the straw that was provided and relaxed as the trailers finished.

The theater — And now, our feature presentation

Ben glanced over to see that his food wishes had been answered. Ben grinned, grabbing the popcorn bucket that was suddenly sitting next to him.

"One thing I'm gonna miss about the City... endless snack food," Ben said, starting to chow down on the popcorn.

The lights dimmed and the movie began to start. Ben's initial reaction was utter confusion at the new alien that was on display, but as Ben watched he started to take in more of the supposed weirdness. Aliens he didn't recognize, Gwen being able to use magic from a spellbook, Vilgax having been in the Null Void. All of it was unfamiliar to the young hero.

"Oh, I get it, this must be stuff that hasn't happened yet," Ben muttered. "And I guess it won't happen now."
