Episode 4: Oragon, just admit that you have a thing for Aoi. But you won't have a chance. She has her eyes on Ren only.
Those monster designs...I bet that the character designers know that there will be gamers wanting eye candies. The looks of the female monsters during the bump combo just seals it.
But the next episode will be very intense. I wondered how two players can win against four players.
Episode 5: Hey, that's dangerous, Aoi! You could snap Ren's neck with that dodging maneuver!
The next episode probably have their monsters doing bump combos.
Episode 6: So it's Akira saving them with Kamui. Also, I bet that Ren is Haruma. Still, Oragon is funny as ever with its antics. If things get smooth, the team could be assembled on episode 8.

Episode 7: Aikra is expected to be the last member, considering his stubbornness. But the best moment is when Oragon gets bounced on the video frame and stuck at its sides. That was hilarious. I bet that Minami will join at the next episode, which leads to the team formed before episode 13.
Episode 8: That red eye of Minami seemed to suggest that she managed to partially sustain some sort of external influence which leads to other players attacking people. But at this rate she will join around episode 10 and Akira joining exactly on episode 13.
Now what the insane video Minami was releasing to the point that Aoi and that dude blushed upon viewing it?
Episode 9: What a tease, but I bet that it is less suggestive than what their looks suggest. Ren and Oragon continues to be amusing, especially with the latter's comments.
Anyway, Minami's monster is not an easy enemy.
Epsiode 10: So that dude is a spy for some secret organization. But how Minami is going to join Ren and Aoi?
Orgaon's stuck-in-a-vending-machine antics is still funny despite the seriousness of the battle.

Episode 11: Ren's chunnibyou antics and Minami's airheadness are hilarious. Oragon seemed to be happy that he gets a potential threesome, but both has eyes on Ren only and see it more like an adorable pet.
Seemed that the dark organization has new plans that will influence Akira in some ways.
Episode 12: It appeared that Oragon's shadow is a nebulous thing that acts on its own. How this is going to be related with the hood people seen in episode 10 will be an interesting thing to see.
Episode 13: Akira's Kamui is awesome, but can they fight against Izanami's second form? Apparently the dark distortion thing is a deliberate incident by the hood people.
Episode 14: Izanagi's death attack is insanely strong that even Fefnir X suffered. I wondered how the writers will unveil the conspiracies of the hood people, spatial distortion and the key people among them?. I can't wait for Spring.
Episode 15 & 16: What an awesome battle, but the next episode is going to be a flashback, which is kind of a bummer.
It's three episodes in and I totally get hooked. Ren, Aoi and Oragon's antics are funny. Bonus points for the awesome "We Will Rock You" cover.
Hopefully this is your average fifty-two-episodes game adaptation anime, but the short episode format hurts the pacing. If this kind of pacing goes on the team will be formed around episode 10 the earliest.
