CoLC crossover RP, discussion

Well now, woke up earlier than I was expecting and still feeling good; also I have shaved off some time today because I haven't yet done some of my exercise. It's pretty hot out outside now so I want to wait until the sun goes down, and that will probably be the norm for my days off for the rest of the summer. I just need to not forget to do them later.

Anyway, so I'll be checking in on discord and killing time for now, since there's been no posts yet.

EDIT: Alright, I better get going for tonight. I feel torn on whether it's the right call all things considered, but I've decided to just go without a post for tonight. As mentioned, I probably won't be able to make a post tomorrow night; well, a main thread post anyway. I do intend to at least stop in at some point and make a discussion post with my schedule for next week, since I should have it tomorrow night. I expect I should be able to make a real post Sunday night.

Well, change of plans for today, because I got to work and they told me they didn't actually need me in today, if I just wanted to go back home. I stuck around to help them with the rest of the dinner rush, then took them up on it, so here I am. No more posts yet I see; not too surprising. I'm gonna check on discord and then see about a quick post before my stuff with friends starts up tonight.

EDIT: Stayed up too late again, so now I need to get going. If work goes as scheduled tomorrow, I won't be around until at least like, four hours later than when I got on tonight, but I suspect given everything going on that there's actually a good chance I won't be there for my full shift again. But I suppose we'll find out when we get there.

Turns out my intuition was even more right than I expected. I woke up today and checked my phone to see that there was a text from my general manager saying I didn't need to come in to work at all today, because they had to close up early anyway, so there wasn't really any point. So, unexpected day off! I spent a bit of extra time resting in bed, then I did some extra stuff today since I had the opportunity, and now I'm here and recapped. I'm contemplating main thread posting because, well there's something in particular I'd really like to do, but I know it would take a bit of work and I'm suddenly feeling very unmotivated to do said work. First off I'll be checking on discord and such though.

EDIT: Well, I better get going for tonight under the assumption that I will possibly be working tomorrow. I feel like it being called off completely isn't likely this time, but I wouldn't be surprised if again I don't have to work the full shift, just like Saturday. Anyway, if I do actually end up doing the whole shift, then I won't be on until pretty late; probably a bit over five hours later than when I got on today.

I'm a bit behind.

Starting my training to be an intern via remote work. Ahhh.... timezones.

Turns out I was right; we closed three hours early. I took some extra time today to get a haircut from my mom and get some other stuff done today. Anyway, I will at least be waiting an hour before posting, if not more to see if anyone else will be posting, but in the meantime I will be checking in on discord and such.

Also, I finally realized today that with all the crazy stuff going on over the weekend, I forgot to actually post my work schedule. Just as well; it actually changed slightly today.

So, after today, tomorrow (Tuesday) I have the day off, along with Thursday and Sunday. Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday are all long evening shifts. Game night with friends is moving from Saturdays to Sundays starting with this week I think, so my Saturday night shouldn't be as messed up this week.

EDIT: Sorry guys, I couldn't make up my mind whether I wanted to post, and tonight was kind of weird for me, and now it's late enough that I'd rather just come at it fresh tomorrow rather than try to squeeze out a mediocre post before bed. Tomorrow I'm sleeping in with no alarm, and if I get up early enough I'll probably be going out to get something done and also swing by the grocery store, but I still expect to be online earlier than I was today; just not sure how much earlier, as usual.

EDIT: Okay, and I need to go a little earlier than I normally would tonight, as tomorrow's shift, while still an evening shift, does start an hour earlier than my evening shifts usually start. Now, if the shift goes as scheduled, (which again has been a big if lately) then I'll probably be online a bit more than four hours later than I got on today.

Well, I was wrong, and we didn't close early, so I actually did the whole shift. Anyway, I'm here and fully recapped, but...

Look guys, some really bad stuff is going on in real life right now. Not in my personal life, I mean in the big picture. I'm just very upset and scared for the future. I don't know if I can post tonight.

I'm terribly sorry if this game is what you turn to in particular for escapism, as I'm guessing not many of you are feeling much better about the IRL stuff going on either. If I don't post tonight, I'll try to post tomorrow; hopefully I'll feel better after sleeping in.

Whoops, I had forgotten to make an edit about going last night until a while after I had taken my sleeping pills, and by then I wasn't lucid enough to put the effort into writing. So, no new posts yet; again I can't say I'm surprised. I'm feeling a bit better today, though I'm not sure exactly what I want to post, but I will try to start working on it shortly, just after I check on discord and such.

EDIT: Okay, and now I need to get going for tonight. Tomorrow's back to the usual evening shifts I've been getting this week, so unless I'm out early or something, I won't be on until late. Specifically, around five hours later than when I got on tonight, probably.

Alright, I am here and recapped; we actually closed like an hour early tonight, but I had to stick around to help clean and restock, so I wasn't out until about 15 minutes early. Anyway, since there's only been one post, I'm not feeling certain if I want to make a response tonight or wait to see if more people will post. For now, I'll be checking on discord and some stuff.

While I'm posting here though, I've got my schedule for next week. Getting back to almost regular amount of hours again, and thankfully it's still all evening shifts. As a reminder, I have a long shift tomorrow, and possibly stuff going on with my friends afterward, then Sunday off. Monday I have an extra long shift. Wednesday is another long shift. Next Friday is a moderate shift. Next Saturday is a long shift, then next Sunday is also off.

EDIT: Decided I should post tonight, because tomorrow night, while I should be getting online around a similar time, I might not be able to post given the plans with friends going on. If the last couple of weeks are anything to go by, we'll probably be going until so late that I would start to be getting too tired to post.

As for Sunday though, I should of course be online a lot earlier. I'm planning on sleeping in with no alarm set though, so it's hard to guess exactly how much earlier.

Well, I'm here and fully recapped. Not only was real life already feeling kind of heavy today, but I just had a stressful moment with my computer not properly working at first, which is leaving me feeling very burnt out right now. I don't know if I even could make a good post right now, but I might try to later. I'm very sorry. I'll be checking on discord shortly though.

EDIT: Managed to get in a well enough mood, but was also so distracted I almost forgot about posting until it was too late. So with that post, I need to get going for tonight. Tomorrow it's back to work, so I don't expect to be on until probably just a bit under four hours later than when I got on today, unless I get off early or something of course.

Alright, I am here now after work, and given the discussion in discord last night and some thinking, I think it's time to make an important announcement:

I am not cancelling the RP; I made a promise when I started, and so long as at least one other person is still posting I will continue to run this game. That said, it's clear from what people have said and what they have seem to say through their lack of posting, that this game needs at the very least some sort of "break".

That is, the important part is that as I've mentioned in discord, and mean sincerely, I don't want anyone to feel like they are obligated to post. If you do not want to post, then don't. If you later feel ready to post, then go ahead whenever is best for you; if you end up never posting again and essentially drop out, then, so be it. And furthermore if this means that the entire game effectively ends now because nobody else ever posts, then even still, so be it.

The only other change for now is that, unless/until someone else posts, I will be ceasing my discussion thread posts as well.

I hope you are all doing well in life, especially with all the crazy things 2020 is doing to us lately. To help myself feel better and to have something else to do, I think I'm gonna start up that second RP idea I had lately, even though not many people showed interest in it. I won't post about that any more here though; I'll put it in either the looking for players thread or the rpg guide thread, when the time comes.

Here now, will start working on a post in response to Garrett soon; might take a while as I'm considering using it as means to move things along a bit.
