Can we get a quick idea on how large this city is, general atmosphere. Any parameters you feel to keep in mind about our awakening, or just whatever we think is appropriate?

Also what do we have with us, all the general things we imagine for our characters or just basic clothes and the arm in question?

Edit: Extra question, how much understanding do our characters have about the arms. We have a connection to them and may recognize them but do we understand they are linked to us so heavily. We believe we are these people who have likely died long ago.

It's a midsize city, the largest within that small circle of mountains. It has a fair population of maybe five thousand civilians, with a relatively small guard presence and limited demon involvement, aside from the wild demons and monsters that arise around the walls just because of the evil that fills the area.

In terms of atmosphere... the city is constructed mostly of stone, with cobbled streets, small regular houses, and high walls circling the outskirts and separating the various districts. There are checkpoints in the walls, but the guards mostly use them as opportunities to harass merchants and townswomen and places to get drunk. The people are pretty downtrodden, though they do try when they can to be good to their neighbors. They're not in outright danger since the war has long since cooled, and the major issue in Lovak is the corrupt governor and guard force.

Edit: ^You'll have the clothes on your back, some accoutrements for adventuring (think an empty pack or two), and your Arm. That's about it. Assume you got robbed by bandits who didn't want to take any fancy gear. =P

You understand instinctively how to use the powers in your Arms, and have a vague sense of loss regarding their full power. You also feel a strong aversion to leaving the Arm out of your arm's reach, let alone out of sight.

Quick question: What's a rough appearance of Lovak like and how would one get in from the outside? Need these things for a post.

Edit: I'm slow apperently

The city's walls are about twenty feet tall, and mostly made of huge slabs of grey stone. The wall is semi-circular and butts up onto the mountain; the skyline is dominated by the Dark Citadel, which is built into the mountain and rises up above it.

For those of us not using weapon arms would that likely leave us unarmed right now or would have these metaphorical bandits left any weapon we may have wanted when adventuring. Just to make sure I have this image right in my mind before I post.

Tojin, wikkit and Yewleaf, I still need your Skype I Ds. It's not mandatory to be a part of the chatroom, but I feel like it'll help keep things moving. PM me when you get a chance and I'll tell you my ID to add.

It's been fun.

Sorry for taking so long to post. I wanted to see more examples to make sure I got it right but I ended up falling asleep early. I'll apologize more and discuss stuff when I (funny enough) fully wake up.

Just saying the fact the heroes arms animated into seven females and three males might say something about his adventures. I guess also potentially about the hero himself.

Just a minor musing I had. Though for a short while it looked like it would be a lone male to rest females.

Mostly 20 somethings too. I just typed in 20 cuz it was a nice round number and not really important. Woulda made her older if I'd noticed. Btw can our characters die? We're actually stuff like swords getting swung around by magic fake bodies right? So would you have to destroy the arm or would a stab wound convince us we're dead?

@Yew: If the Arms' physical bodies take enough damage - which will probably be more than a human body could bear once they realize what they are, and a mortal wound before that - they'll disappear, leaving the Arm where they were. They'll regenerate eventually given peace and a bit of magic, but it probably wouldn't be pleasant for them.

I am certainly up for interacting with eachother, whoever wants to. We dont need every moment to be us rescuing civilians or beating up guards with teleporting spears.

Okay, folks, let's make a decision - would you like to go after the Governor or take on a smaller challenge nearby first? You should be able to take the Governor, but now's also a good time to get to know each other.

It's been fun.

Smaller challenge. I don't really see the sense in returning to a scene you've just fled.
