Actually they patched it so that she consistently wins now when she does it.
To my surprise.
I really thought they were gonna nerf it, but nope.

My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes!So... is it possible to get more than 4 Spirit Stones, not that it affects anything, but it'd be cool to have 5 or more as bragging rights...
My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes!Pretty sure it is. Also they unveiled the new wolf hero a few days ago.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Oh yeah, I've gotten more than four Spirit Stones quite a few times. One game I somehow ended up with seven of them (sadly, I didn't win that one).
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)How come I don't have the new guy yet, is he DLC or something?
EDIT: Checks DLC. Not yet there.
When's IOS ver.? I just can't wait for the bandits...

My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes!Yes. In a few months there will be a new DLC with four new heroes (one for each clan). They've unveiled three of them so far; the only one not revealed is the new Bear hero.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)Yeah, we've got a distinguished-looking bunny, a death cultist rat, and a huge wolf with a massive shield, but no bear.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Well while waiting for the DLC... my highest ever games?
16 prestige http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=717283145
21 attack http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=717282393
I can't get 13 rot yet. Getting too unlucky.
My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes!I got 13 Rot once.
But had to quit the game because it was time to eat.
I remember playing "Create Spirit Stone" with the Warlock follower to cycle the card and go back to spawn.
Get out of my mind, idea! I already have an idea in there!Well once you've hit 13 Rot you already got the achievement anyway, so it's all good.
My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes!A bunch of new DLC heroes released today, which are the recently teased ones. (Which means: BANDIT CLAN WHERE!!)
So my thoughts after a session or few.
Sargon - Cool teleporting animation while walking (but sadiy not a real one, you can't "teleport" to your destination). Ability is to peek at top card of deck, which is handy in the games I tested him in since I keep drawing immolations, which is fun. Not sure what victory conditions he can readily go for: but Prestige and Rot are the obvious ones: as peeking at the deck can streamline which cards you draw for your desired victory.
Magna - The demo for reflect shields. I think she's been given a fairly gimmicky skill because of her high attack. The basic strategy with her (that I can think of) is even kinda counter-intuitive to a hulking armored character: don't equip any armor at all (except the ones that grant reflect) and increase # of dice and wit, and just counter everything the opponents do in combat. Thane is her worst nightmare.
Elyssia - The demo for fortifications. Hers are permanent, and why not, she doesn't have a movement penalty for fortifications. Fortifications make it annoying for other players to go into settlements. I think it should also stop normal banes from ever invading towns since banes only ever have 1AP (with the exception of some king's decrees).
Ghor - The spellcaster that doesn't look the part. Theoretically you can fling spells like no tomorrow but has to be in a forest. Potentially a nuker who goes for Prestige wins by killing everyone, and he can also possibly defeat the king by stacking bark skin or feral—or mirror imaging until the king has no dice at all.

My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes!Just to note, dlc didn't include new cards so shield reflection and fortification were available before Usurpers for rather long time already
I better fix that then, but I will keep the part about the heroes highlighting those mechanics.
My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes!Yeah, I do agree that those cards are probably based around the characters rather than other way around
Oh, and I only just learned today (because I didn't need to do it beforehand) that I can't rearrange my equipped items. This only made sense to use thanks to Magna, to put reflecting armors at the top of the list then destroying the excess armor later.
P.S. Is that avatar pic a possessor? Heh heh heh.
edit:
Today I learned, if River has 1AP, she cannot shoot someone in a mountain or fortification. :p
I just had the best last turn comeback ever.
Having just died as Amber and down 2 prestige from the leader, Ghor who had like 3 barkskins and a mirror image on him and standing near my clan grounds. River was in the palace. With no cards at the start of my turn I needed to draw 3 immolations out of 5 cards to kill Ghor. Instead I get teleport and a bunch of trash. So I teleported to a terrorized fort, then attacked River, and I had to hope I win the fight. I had a good roll and defeated River, gaining a total of 3 prestige to steal the game.
((I forgot how many settlements Ghor had so I didn't know if Slanderous Toads would've worked.)

My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes! So I have 3 King's dice now...
And today I learned another thing... if a player attacks the king and wins, then dies from poison afterwards (-3 because they used up 3 AP moving to the king's tile), the player still wins a battle victory.
My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes!I actually managed 13 Rot once, but couldn't achieve the Rot victory on account of a mutual kill.
"If you're out here why do I miss you so much?"Kingslayer and related victories are super finicky. Stupid RNG.
I've found that removing the king's dice, or stacking armor or pierce (optionally, removing your own dice too via equips or burning cards) is the best way to go about it and kill randomness.
I really do not like increasing my own dice since misses give the king more dice.
My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes!Oh wow, I've done really good this game. I have three different Items that all give me extra dice in battle, I've got two followers, I've only died once, I've killed every Bane I've fought...really the only setbacks are that I've failed most of the quests I've embarked on, but now I've got the to the palace xD
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.My highest prestige ever in a game is now 24... but somehow I still lost that game. I couldn't eject Magna from the palace.
Also I just learned piercing attacks are blockable with reflect shields...

My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes! And I won the game! With a Combat victory no less! I had enough extra dice and Swords to get past the king's defenses, and had enough Body to stand up to the five times he hit me.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Good job.! The first kingslayer is the hardest but It Gets Easier.
Idle topic: What's everyone's favorite dice/die*?
* plural
I tend to use the Green and Boulder dice.

My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes!I haven't used any other die, mainly because I try to limit my Steam purchases unless there's a sale or something. I haven't even gotten the Usurper pack yet.
And anyway, SCREW YOU AMBER! I was all set to win a prestige victory but through sheer dumb luck she got a Kingslayer victory on the very last turn and lived! I was so mad, she'd been doing terrible the whole game xD
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Amber is the second to the last person I'd expect to kingslayer.
You can get free keys and chests by playing multiplayer, BTW. Though keys and chests are dirt cheap right now in the marketplace, since many people played during the King's Dice event...
My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes!
I must have misinterpreted that one patch where they addressed how River could kill the king with her arrow shot. I thought they'd patched it so that she couldn't do that.
