Has anyone sent this film? The story is about a Spanish teen named Ansiedad who lives with her deadbeat mother and wants to grow up but doesn't know how. In order to grow up quickly, she begins to utilize the tropes, cliches and structure from various teen movies including Mean Girls in order to grow up but with disastrous results. The film was fairly good but it ends in a somewhat predictable manner and it cannot seem to decide whether or not wants to subvert some tropes or play them straight. The film deconstructs the coming-of-age as well as the formula by having the heroine Ansiedad utilize the tropes from the the various teen drama she watched in order to grow up only to find that it is not the case. I like the film and I think it is good but I thought it could had been little better if they stuck with the original premise.
