I'm watching The Last Jedi right now, Maz talking about codebreaker person reminds me of the Outrageous Okana.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.Watched the Last Jedi again with my family. God, I thought I might turn on it since I'd only ever seen it the one time when it first came out.
But no, I fucking love this movie. There must be something wrong with me.
Kaze ni Nare!Eh, I like The Last Jedi too - even with its flaws. I think it’s better than The Force Awakens anyway.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. The Lat Jedi really is the Empire Strikes Back of this trilogy, for better or worse.
It's been 3000 years…They could have used the Eternal Engine to justify Sidious’ massive fleet.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I would have liked The Last Jedi so much more if it had ended on a more foreboding cliffhanger the way Empire Strikes Back did.
If I had a nickel for every film where Emma Stone falls off a balcony... I'd only have two nickels, but weird that there's two of them.Pretty much, if anything I feel johnson wasnt bold enough, he really need to go all of nothing on is movie if he want the deconstruction to land.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"I certainly don't think it's a flawless masterpiece. It drags, especially near the end, Finn isn't really given much to do, and some of the comedy is kinda awkward
But basically every theme or character arc it went for, I adored on a conceptual level,
Kaze ni Nare! The Last Jedi is a good enjoyable well-made movie and you can pry that notion from my cold dead hands.
Self-serious autistic metalhead who goes by any pronouns. (avvie template source)The last Jedi isn't a wholly bleak story at its core though.I'd say it has a pretty hopeful message. That you shouldn't be defined by the past (both in a character motivational sense and in the tropes that Star Wars films tend to use), and you should focus on moving forward. That's the heart of the story to me, not breaking things down.
Kylo is the villain in the end and despite his proclamations he's still living in the past. He still can't let it go.
Kaze ni Nare! It's the best movie of the trilogy. Trying to resist it only caused more problems.
I would add "no spoilers" as well — that's why we have the "Rise of Skywalker" spoiler thread.
And if the mods okay it, then sure.
