Wild West Science versus Magic RP Discussion

Heh, got to go home early from my already super early work shift. I'm actually about to take a nap but I needed to do something on the computer first anyway so I figured I'd drop in and mention a schedule update before I forgot about mentioning it later.

In addition to the work I mentioned before, I also have work on Saturday. It's supposed to be the final version of the schedule though so it shouldn't be changing now.

Anyway, so gonna take a nap then there's some things I need to see to after that. Post is gonna be at least a few hours, possibly many more depending on what all I've got going on today.

There's also writer's block. Son of a bitch.

Also, I realize now that before I somehow got Mart and Nathan mixed up when it comes to who accused who of attacking first. So my mistake, it was Nathan who was talking out of his ass. (And he was wrong, no less.)

EDIT @Blackie: The lizardfolk woman wasn't talking to Mart, she was talking to Dart. She's angry at him because he kicked the door open into her face.

Sorry about no post yesterday; it was a little in part me waiting to see if anyone else would post yet, but mostly it was just me having had a rough day at work and spending what time I did have to be online essentially recuperating. Tonight work wasn't as rough and I have more time to be online, so I'll be trying to get a post in at some point before I go to bed. Probably not anytime soon, though that depends on what else I've got going on tonight.

Also, @Undying Phoenix: Because I completely spaced about going over the golem creation skill with you before, you should see this post in the signups where I just described it to Hackenfall Backslash.

Since you haven't used golem creation in game yet, I'll let you refund the experience on it and get something else if you decide that you don't like the sound of that.

Well, I take it that Nathan can still use golems to defend himself and attack enemies, right?

Yeah they can still fight, they just won't have any special abilities or skills unless you invest into it more.

Like a stone golem would just be a mobile stone man/whatever-shape-Nathan-made-it; it can still smack dudes around and throw stuff, but it can't like, pound the ground and make earth spikes shoot out of it. Not unless Nathan got another skill to give the golems he creates skills like that.

My apologies about my lull in posting; though usually most of us have a lull in the weekends so I don't think it made a huge difference. I was mainly recuperating after Saturday's particularly exhausting shift while also waiting to see if anyone else would post.

For the record I decided to make a roll about how the sheriff would respond to Dart's yelling; no matter what it wouldn't have effected the scene dramatically but I wasn't sure exactly what to go for myself so I made it a roll. (And as for the result it was just right in the middle.)

Also, while I'm posting I should give you guys a heads up that my next week's schedule is particularly crazy. I'm working Tuesday through Saturday but with Wednesday and Friday being super early shifts; so I'm pretty much guaranteed to not be posting Tuesday and Thursday nights but may be on earlier than usual Wednesday and Friday depending on whether I'll need naps. I might not post Saturday night just like this week, but that depends on how that shift goes. (I did finally find out that our general manager and assistant manager are gone; I don't know if they quit or were fired or what. The lady who's been covering in the meantime is who's been giving me these crazy shifts so hopefully after next week when we've got our new permanent general manager my schedule won't be so crazy anymore.)

This is yet another post where I feel like Ref has nothing to add to the situation .-.

If you can't post you can't post, real life comes first. If you really need to you can just drop the RP, though I would be sorry to see you go.

Anyway, like I mentioned before I don't intend to make a main post tonight. Mostly because I'm not going to be online for long and also because I'm not entirely sure what I want to post yet. Just gonna go make a quick post in another thread, (Since for that one I do know what I want to post now.) then pretty much be out for the night.

Going to school in a bit, I'll get a post up when I get back.

Well I got good news and I got bad news. Bad news is I don't think I'll be posting tonight; got writer's block after my nap that I couldn't quite shake off. Good news is I may actually be able to post tomorrow night after all, though I wouldn't necessarily count on that.

At the latest, I should be able to post Friday night.

Yo, Firock, can you just move Refran in the next post please? I've not had a good writing day in a little while. Kinda wanted him to ask to go alongside everyone to the hospital, courtesy of a few ten bullet holes in his chest.

Wow, the last two days have felt more like a week. Probably because I've fallen ill.

@Dem Kimochis: She could be if you want. I don't really have the time (or really the energy right now) to edit my last post if so, but in that case she'd currently be in the same boat as Refran.

Anyway, while I am posting though I should probably go ahead and mention my schedule for next week: Actually pretty easy going this time. I am working four days, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday but none of those are super early shifts so I won't have to disappear completely any night. Some of them aren't even that long of shifts either, so except maybe Thursday night I should still be able to post... That is, as soon as I stop being too sick to my stomach to be creative.

Also, as for a long-term heads up, based on a conversation with my new manager this coming week of no early shifts will probably be the exception rather than the rule, much to my annoyance. (Since school is starting back up all our part time highschool employees have school in the early day so they need people who aren't in school, like me, to help cover early shifts.)

Now I'm gonna get going for the night; was just poking my head in before bed.

I might be dropping out of here soon, I've been getting piledriven by work and I barely remember to come into here. If I decide on it, I'll try and find a decent spot to write Fred away with at the very least.

If you gotta go you gotta go, though I would be sad if you had to. Good luck with your work man, I think I know the feeling.

Anyway, I am now finally feeling a lot better; not quite 100% but feeling good. I'm gonna try to make a quick post just to respond to Nid and Refran; sorry to Fantasy but I'm still feeling writer's block for the cell scene in particular, though maybe I'll edit something into the post later.

Sorry for my inconsistent speeds, by the way. My free time's being sucked away now that school started

Holy crap or I'll spend all of last night and tonight just trying not to feel sick and having writer's block because of that.

Man, I just gotta hate life sometimes. The best week I've had in terms of free time from work and what happens? I get sick for almost the whole week and have tons of writer's block. And just like I anticipated before, next week it's right back to the ball busting.

So here's the scoop: I've got six days of work in a row, going from Monday to Saturday. Now the only good news is that most of the shifts aren't actually very long, but the bad news is that Monday and Friday are both super early shifts. So Sunday night and Thursday night I'm pretty much guaranteed not to post, while all the other nights I should be able to though not until fairly late.

Anyway, as for tonight there's some things I want to catch up on, and I sort of want to wait to let more people have a chance to post; so either I'll post but not until much later tonight or I just won't post tonight. Not sure which yet.
