Ahhh, the previews sure didn't show that then. ._.;

I just hope Ronin also can be, thats the one I want most.

Yeah, the previews aren't really fully-representative, eh...It was common knowledge all the Vanguards would use both sexes, but I never recall seeing the female Raider or Kensei in any official screenshots or trailers.

Does this game demand Uplay on the PS 4? I don't know how iconic Ubisoft games run on consoles. I'm curious since there's a free weekend...though I've been boycotting Ubisoft since they called PC gamers thieves just after Assassin's Creed 2.

But boycotting the video game industry doesn't do jack shit. We're going to get treated like shit regardless. But I still don't want Uplay if I'm going to even dabble with this one.

[up]You don't need it, but having Uplay gives you some bonus cosmetics.

I'm kind of disappointed that none of the dlc heroes are going to be heavies. Huntress and Ronin will probably be hybrid and assassin again.

Season 3 is out now. The new heroes seem good so far, and not as unbalanced as Shinobi and Cent were on release, but time will tell how strong they really are. I like the new War Banner feature, and the new gear looks pretty rad for the most part.

What's the War Banner feature?

[up]You can select which territory you want all your war assets to go for every match you play instead of having to manually deploy them every time. Just for convenience but it helps, if you care about the faction war.

My God, it's been done!

A FEMALE VIDEO-GAME CHARACTER THAT IS MORE DRESSED THAN A MALE ONE!

(I'm being silly, I don't examine this sorta stuff much, but it stuck out at me)

Oh whew.

So, the consensus on the new heroes is that Gladiator is spammy, overall pretty basic and very easy to pickup, while Highlander is very hard to play and lacking in damage/health, but very fun to play witha ton of mix up potential and a high skill ceiling. Highlander needs some tweaking before he can fill his potential, but these characters are having a much better debut than Shinobi and Centurion did.

So what weapons do we think Huntress and Ronin are going to have? My first instinct would be Huntress getting a spear and Ronin getting a katana, but those are already captured by Valkyrie and Orochi respectively.

It's a Ronin, so I predict Miyamoto Musashi influence. A katana and a wakizashi as a pair. Huntress could be a more ranged focus character with a bow?

I think huntress will wield an axe in one hand and something else like a shirt sword. Ronin will probably duel wield as well.

I could even see the Ronin getting a bokuto, if we're going with a Musashi influence.

As for Huntress having a bow - as much as I like archery, For Honor's pretty much exclusively close combat.

I'm disappointed that once again it's a hybrid and an assassin. They couldn't come up with another heavy? They could at least call the Ashamurs a vanguard. Whatever. Also disappointed that Ashamuras can't also be female. Other than that they look good
