Hello, in this thread I am going to present an article of hidden gems that I enjoyed and want to spread to you. Please give one or two of these shows a watch and the rest have them preserved in your list of what-to-watch shows.

I like to introduce myself as an animation devotee, I loved the arts of animation since I was born, and because of this I have spent my entire life watching cartoons and now I am to a state beyond my regular four cartoon channels and the mainstream cartoon enthusiasts like yourselves.

I have seen more than 5640 cartoons (of those I have recorded in my list) in my entire life. Therefore, I am one of the elite and know much more than most of you people.

By the way, this is not to boast about anything, but I am demonstrating how much I know and why I'm always a good source of information.

What is the motive behind this thread? I used to once be in the same state like most of yourselves and I knew only the mainstream cartoons and after I watched all the ones that I liked and was uninterested in the rest, while others I had heard about, but did not intrigued me in the slightest bit to watch.

I then started to ask for recommendations and I am sure of not only I, but you people as well, already knew 80% of the shows in advance that were recommended to oneself. I found it to be tedious when I asked for a show and I could forecast what would be suggested.

If there was a show I knew about, I wouldn't want you to ask me about it in the first place. I was like that for most of my life and I was tired of that, and therefore I started to go on an "adventurous journey" for hidden gems and I may have found out something interesting... hidden gems are not mainstream! That is what hidden gem is not, by definition!

I will post this list of Western animated series that you may never have ever heard about, but I can grant you are well-made pieces of masterpieces of animation.

I apologize if there are any anime in the list, I made my best to keep it predominant by cartoons.

Now, without further ado, here is the list of "literal" hidden gems:

The Mysterious Cities of Gold, The Animals of Farthing Wood, Spawn, Watership Down, Team Galaxy, Diabolik, Where on Earth Is Carmen Sandiego?, Xyber 9: New Dawn, Mythic Warriors: Guardians of the Legend, King Arthur and the Knights of Justice, Double Dragon, Huntik: Secrets and Seekers, Blue Dragon, David the Gnome, Galactik Football, Skeleton Warriors, The Legend of Calamity Jane, Pole Position, Visionaries: Knights of the Magical Light, Blackstar, Thundarr the Barbarian, Ghostbusters (1986), Ring Raiders, Spiral Zone, Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors, Roswell Conspiracies: Aliens, Myths & Legend..., Brave Starr, Cybersix, Phantom 2040, The Savage Dragon, The Pirates of Dark Water, The Littles, Spartakus and the Sun Beneath the Sea, The Maxx, Fist of the North Star, Silver Hawks, Ulysses 31, Centurions, Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs, Captain Future, Space Sentinels, Galtar and the Golden Lance, Wildfire, Kassai and Leuk.

What do you think? Do you like my list and were there any that you noticed before? Perhaps you knew them all (very unlikely)? Tell us in the replies.

I will say that, while I haven't seen everything on your list, I have seen most of them (probably 90 %). Generally good stuff all around, butI don't think most of your list qualifies as "hidden." The majority of these are pretty well known.

I really liked Calamatiy Jane; they only ever broadcast the first 4 episodes where I live.

That's good. But I won't say Calamity Jane is mainstream, per se.

And if one is French, then yes, they know many of the cartoons on my list, but I didn't intend this to be a hidden gems list when I made the list yesterday, that's just something I thought about today on a whim.

As I said, I did not intend this to be a "list of Hidden Gems."

I have redacted the list to exclude anime and the mainstream shows and replace them with lesser known and substream animation.

Edit: Please feel free to create your own lists.

The only cartoons I'd consider to be hidden gems coming to me ATM are Grojband and Kappa Mikey. I think Jimmy Two shoes could count, as well.
