The fact that only 140 characters are allowed here is honestly so disappointing to me.

sorry... once a word's complete, the round's over, unless we want to amend the rules for TV Tropes... which might be an option... I'll look over some variations of the game and report back

This is a cute little game I used to play a lot when I was younger. The purpose is to take the previous letter or string of letters and add to it in the eventual goal of reaching a complete word. Each word must be at least 4 letters long to count as "complete". Proper nouns do not count (London, Jacob, etc.) The catch is; if you are the one to complete a word, you lose the round and get a letter in "GHOST". The first one to "GHOST" loses the game and the next game can begin. You should have an actual word in mind you're trying to spell; if you think the person before you doesn't actually have a valid word in mind, you can end the round by challenging them, after which, they have to put down the word they were thinking. If you catch them cheating, they lose the round, if they put down a valid word, you lose the round.
For the sake of camaraderie, if a word has more than one spelling (i.e. Color/Colour) both are valid.
Here's an example round:
Troper 1: New Round - A
Troper 2: Aa
Troper 3: Aar
Troper 2: Aard
Troper 3: Aardw
Troper 1: Challenge
Troper 3: Aardwolf
Troper 1: G.H.O.
Update:
We have a few new versions to play with:
Every full game or two, we'll change the version we're using, we'll probably end up voting on which version we use for which game. If you're jumping in, feel free to ask what version is being used.
