'''This is an interest check for the idea

Hundreds of years ago the world was engulfed in the war to end all wars, as supplies started to dwindle and overpopulation crushed the ability for the world to support itself people went mad and fought to protect what little they had. In this war many weapons were used, the most devastating of which was the Dawnstar, a weapon that coated the Earth in a poison mist that slowly killed everything under it.

Thankfully not all was lost, during the war a new element was created, Infendium, a source of limitless energy that in a more peaceful time might have solved the issues that started the war. Using this new limitless source of energy a series of engines were produced that could lift large chunks of the planets surface into the air and hold them up, giving humanity a chance to survive the destruction of the planet bellow.

Using technology created by the researchers of Infendium people can grow new and greater amounts of crops, and movement between the floating continents is simple using airship technology. Of course living over what amounts to a giant energy reactor had some effects on the humans above. Some children were born with Infendium energy running through their bodies, changing them from normal humans into something more, Envokers. Depending on how much energy ran through them they could perform different feats. Some of them were stronger, some faster, some smarter, some could even control the energy inside of them and do things no ordinary human could imagine. It was also found that Envokers could plug themselves directly into their machines using their energy, increasing their performance beyond human measures.

Of course humanity might have left behind the old world, but their ancient habits had not. Soon a sort of Government arose from the various floating continents, set on maintaining peace and order. The World Government decided the only way to prevent what happened bellow was to rule with an iron fist, deciding what grew where and who was allowed to be in power. To this end they created the Round Table, a military rivaling those found during the old days.

From the disfranchised masses rose the Pirate Confederation, a group that sought freedom from the rule of the World Government. Mostly formed of free thinkers who want to live free of the crushing weight of the government and their soldiers. To this end they raid supply ships and the like that fly the World Government colors, using scraped together Mecha and Airships to fight a much more powerful foe. They are not truly a united group, but more of a collection of free thinkers all flying the same colors. Some are criminals, others are heroes, but in the end they are all the same in one way. They are all Skypirates. —- World Info: The Four Great Capitals

Valan Ra: Home of the World Government Elite

This massive continent is home only to those with power and influence other the lands and their servants and warriors. Not much trade happens here as this sky city doesn't actually produce much, despite the abundance of land which food could grow. It contains a bounty of old world technology that the elite use to amuse themselves.

Norhime: The City of Trade

The great hub city where most trade happens, and the secret base of the Skypirates guild. Its also the center of the massive railways that run between the different production cities and harvesting cities. It also contains a few Infendium labs that produce new weapons and other fine things.

Liyum: The Working Mans Home

A place for all of those who work on farms and mines. Due to the special energy produced by Infendium resources that were once limited such as iron grow much like plants. People are divided over who support the World Government and those who don't, through those who don't tend not to be vocal about it. An excellent place for picking up bounties, as even the World Government will subcontract Sky Pirates to take care of more dangerous threats.

Ranram: The Forgotten Realm

Also known as the trash continent, a floating city fed scraps to keep it alive while the workers do the worst jobs imaginable for barely livable wages. This place contains the wreckage of both old world and current day technology, and those who live here scrounge what little they can to survive. Due to the metal and chemical leckage very little can be actually produced. Some of the people living here are criminals, some of them are simply people who spoke out against the World Government. Skypirates can normally find great deals on hidden gems by asking around and giving some food to the right people.

There are many other floating continents around the world, some small and others large, through these main four are the most interesting.

Ships of Note

Excalibur- The lead ship for the World Government containing its strongest fighters and Mecha. Its size and power dwarf just about every other ship in existence.

Underworld 003- A massive prison ship armed with weapons used during the Final War. It holds the most dangerous people in the world are is manned by a crew of people known as Specters, who wrap themselves entirely in black armor and are said to have the power of an entire crew. The Specters are considered the guards of the most dangerous Old World Tech, but are willing to trade some less dangerous weapons for the capture of prisoners or the return of more dangerous tech.

Jolly Roger- Considered by many to be the flagship of the Skypirates, run by Marco Crosswind, the founder of the Federation. Its size is smaller then most other airships, but makes up for it in terms of speed and capable crew. —- Roles

Captain: Act as the leader for the crew and design battle plans, watch over purchases, and make sure to take care of each crew member. Money comes and goes from the Captain, meaning they are in control of any split of pay from battles.

Engineers: Maintenance and repair is the name of the game for these people. They can control small drones that can do minor in combat repair, but mostly they work on upgrades and help keep the ship running.

Pilots: These people keep the ship flying and handle the shields and weapons attached to the main airship.

Doctor: Takes care of the health of the crew using any means they can. Its important they stay on top of their jobs or else in the next fight the crew might not be able to win.

Chef: Makes food for the crew and works closely with the Doctor to make sure that everyone remains healthy

Mecha pilots: These brave souls pilot Skypirate Meachas into combat to fight against enemy Mecha or to just get cargo ships into retreating.

Soldiers: Once ships are connected these people are the best close quarters members of the team, invading the enemy ship and taking it over. —- Terms

Mecha- Term used for the humanoid flying robots piloted by others. Envokers are normally the best candidates as they can resonate more with their machines, through normal humans can be quite good as well.

Airship- Giant floating ships powered by Infendium engines, holding room for the crew and having hangers for Mecha. They come in a variety of sizes and shapes.

Envoker- A human mutated by Infendium, given special abilities and able to better resonate with machines.

Old World Tech- Term used for anything that was created before the land was lifted up and the Dawnstar was activated. Usually very unstable and dangerous.

World Government- Main ruling body of the world.

Round Table- Military branch of the World Government.

Pirate Federation- Loosely connected Skypirates that aid each other and offer jobs while finding ways to bother the World Government.

Skypirate- Any person that flies on an airship and opposes the World Government. —- Character Sheet

Name: Age: Occupation: ((Can have dual roles, but don't have them be ones that conflict with each other. Like Pilot/Soldier.)) Weapon: (for soldiers only) Flight Frame: (for pilots only) Appearance: Backstory: —- This game runs on a mission based kind of system. The Captain will pick the missions from headquarters and go out and do them with the rest of the crew. Between missions players will have the chance to interact with each other and grow as characters, and of course there will be downtimes in the floating cities form time to time.

I'd suggest marking up your post a bit so it's less jarring to read: Bold, italics and bullet points go a long way. It looks interesting, although this is supposed to be in the signup section.

I actually meant to put interest check after the title, but for the life of me I can't remember how to edit a thread title.

Mmm... Interest checks are also better suited for that section. Plus, you have a signup in your post which isn't really an interest check at that point.

Only mods can edit titles.
