"Ah, Wanda's here. This should be interesting."

"Yes, I have. Her name is Wanda Maximoff. If I had the chance, I would have asked her to marry me, but... I'm going to die soon, so I'd rather spare her the pain."
Alderoth looks at Femji.
"Occasionally, I feel empty on the inside, being aware that I do not have long."
His gaze then flickers over to Wanda, and he briefly looks shocked, before he turns away from her, biting his lip.

He's frowning.
...Oh... poor you... And there's really nothing you can do about it? Or... is your death somehow crucial for some sort of event to occur...? nya~

Managing to crack a small smile after hearing the little bit about a marriage proposal, Wanda looks up at Shade!Alderoth.
"If you believe that I'll just let this twisted Game take you from me without a fight, Alderoth... then you clearly don't know me that well. Ever since I learned the truth about this whole 'Game' and your unwilling part in it, I've been wracking my brain trying to find out how this could have happened and more importantly, how to save you from this fate without having to kill you. For my plans to work, I know I'll need help from at least both Eldren and a man named Galantre. I love you, Alderoth, and believe me when I say that I will free you from the Gamemaster's grasp!"
She gets up from the bench.

Mike just listens, guessing that a remark will earn him a massive beam from Wanda.

"My death is merely a consequence of my participation in the Game, nothing else..."
Alderoth looks at Kadaj.
"I don't know yet, but I hope—"
He then freezes when he hears Wanda, and, after she has finished, he turns to face her.
"You... you don't understand, Wanda... I joined the Game out of my volition... I am no unwilling participant... I wish you didn't fall for me... it would have made things easier... you wouldn't be so reluctant to kill me... but, when I die, please... grant my dying wish. I want to die in your arms... and you shouldn't regret killing me. After all, everything about us is probably just a lie that I have started to believe thanks to my delusions."

"...I don't know either of you, but...I don't think that everything you've had between you two is a lie. You said that you want to marry her. I mean, that really isn't something you'd just do based off of a fabricated relationship, right?"

Wanda listens to Shade!Alderoth, then flashes him a reassuring smile.
"You sound so convinced that your fate is set in stone. That the only thing that awaits you is death's cold embrace. Well, that won't be your destiny; not if I can help it. Besides, the mere existence of our future selves is proof enough that there is hope for you. So don't you succumb to despair, okay, sweetie? We've both been through and overcome a lot during our time together, so this is nothing more than another obstacle for us to tackle and defeat like we did the rest. And once this is all behind us, maybe you could tell me a bit more about that proposal you mentioned."

Alderoth then sighs before looking up.
"...I am the Player, one of the Gamemaster's most trusted allies and one of his strongest manipulators."
His gaze, by now, is stern.
"I don't love you, Wanda. I'm only pretending to... it's all just a facade: a part of the cruel Game you are in."
...He's lying.

"If that were the case, then you would never have given me this necklace that I now wear. Not to mention how I managed to pull you back from the brink of madness after the shapeshifter incident or when I freed you from the Will of Metatron with Ninten's aid. The only facade I see is the one of you saying that you don't love me. Why, if Zaromos were here, then he'd most likely be laughing at how poor of a liar you are. Now, I should probably be heading back to the hotel right now, shouldn't I? After all, I'll need plenty of sleep if I'm going to be making plans on how to save you without having to kill you."
She flashes Shade!Alderoth another reassuring smile.

"Do I have to hurt you to make you see the truth that everything about us is nothing but a lie?! Do I?"
"Wanda, I don't love you and I never did... what you see in my mind is nothing but a result of a spell that creates fake surface thoughts. It's a security measure since I knew from the start that someone would try and see what I'm thinking! The Alderoth you know is nothing but a mask... this is the true Alderoth! I'm a liar and a manipulator who works for the Gamemaster, and I plan to play the Game until my Final Battle!"
I wonder... is this scene a Tearjerker, or is it not?

However, you say that you don't love me, yet you clearly told that man from earlier that you thought about proposing to me, not to mention that you specifically asked me to let you die in my arms. I love you, Alderoth, and I always will, but if you don't mind, just shut up, stop lying to me, and let me help you. Now, if you don't mind, I have plans to make and a loving boyfriend who needs saving."

"Ugh... go ahead. Keep believing my lies... but rest assured, I have revealed who I really am... the Final Battle... it'll be between us both. No one else will interfere. I want you to be the one to deal the final blow."
