"My defences... they... did it want me to die? Or did..." Another thought comes to her. "Did I lose my sense of purpose, and that's why my powers weakened..."
I... I'm giving it the words myself... Maybe that's just... what I think, or what I worry... that I'm a traitor... and that's why it turned against me, because I turned against myself... Maybe I overstepped my bounds, that's all... Maybe Metatron is happy as long as it's served, in any way, and it just doesn't want its own fighting each other... but then, why was Gamma able to attack at full strength?
Do you know she was attacking at full strength? You don't know her capabilities... Maybe she was fighting it, too, to attack me... maybe some of her blind zeal became her own, and not just Metatron's...

Claire gets a little bit closer, concern melting into sympathy.
"Hey, um..." She scratches the back of her head. "I know I'm not an, um, long-time user, so to speak. And I don't know what happened to you. But...if you think that it has something against you, or that the relationship between you two has changed, maybe it would be worth it to talk to others who have gone through it, too?"
She rubs the side of her head now. "Yknow, just as a suggestion. And from one user to another."
