Enter The Arena As Your Avatar -- The Spinoff!

*Once on the island, Enjelica decides to observe the scenery, turning in place and taking a close look at everywhere nearby. She only really has one comment to make about the place...*

"It's very grey here. Not the natural kind of grey, though. Wonder why this bit isn't merging with the rest..."

*After she's done that, she glances over at Katre and the box, teleporting over to take a look. If Katre somehow can't bust open the box, Enjelica decides to give it a go herself by... trying to phase her hand through the side of the box.*

As it turns out, busting through the chest nor trying to phase through it isn't exactly working, although the two ladies would hear an unusual sound akin to several insects being noisy inside...

Removing that odd rubber band seems to be the only way to open the object, really...

She just shrug.

"We gotta remove that band."

She raise her arm and prepare for an explosion...

*There's a pause.*

"Well, there's noisy insects or something in there, that much we know of. Do we really wanna open that box? They might turn out to be some sort of hellish form of wasp or something."

*Nonetheless, if Katre's going to try to open the box, Enjelica ain't gonna stop her. Instead, she'll stand there obliviously and wait for the box to be opened, unsure what might be inside.*

For the meantime, the box just sits there, immobile and inert, and the unusual insect-like noise soon quiets down.

"Open it. I'll explode whatever comes out."

*Enjelica thinks about the idea for a few seconds... then shrugs, grabs hold of the box, and takes a look around.*

"Hold back on the blowing up whatever comes out. It might not be a bad thing in there. Though it might not be a good thing, either... eh, just blast everything to hell and back if the box's contents turn out to be both bad, and strong enough to make me hesitate."

*She proceeds to phase her hand into the rubber band that keeps the box shut, pause for a second, and then... move her hand away, likely with an Enjelica's-hand-sized chunk taken out of the rubber band. Presumably more than enough to open the box.*

The rubber band is removed...

...and there's the sound of air being released, the seal being broken. Other than that, the box remains closed. One should probably pull the lid open or something. Not like the chest is going to open itself. It doesn't seem to be that type of chest, really.

"Open."

She prepares for a big-ass explosion...

"...Not self-opening. Ah well, worth a shot."

*There's a pause.*

"Okay, going to need an escape plan in case it all goes to shit. Lemmie focus for a bit..."

*Enjelica closes her eyes for a second, then opens them again. There seems to be a new shimmering bit of area nearby, large enough for a person to fit through, although where would it lead? After she's made that happen, Enjelica carefully reaches out with one leg to push the box's lid open, wary about opening it with her hands.*

The box is opened, and it seems to contain an unusual plastic container filled with a very exotic liquid◊. It makes some kind of screeching noise, like several crickets in the middle of the night.

Meanwhile, in a random "place" in the Multiverse...

After a while of (computer-aided) calculations, Mai thinks she's found her way back to the Arena... only for another, similar error to send her even further. Mentally growling to herself, Mai reasons that some combination of the Arena's weirdness and her own probably doesn't want her returning for the moment, so she grudgingly decides to head elsewhere, hoping things don't go too badly for Enjelica. While her tech isn't prone to error, with multiple redundancies in most layers of its systems, the Arena and her own state of existence are far less precision sciences.

*Enjelica stares in silence while observing the screechy liquid for quite a while, then taking a look at the surrounding environment, then taking a look at the liquid again. She seems to be thinking about whether or not that liquid, or something similar, might have been responsible for the drastic shift in properties for the new island...*

"I dunno about you, but I get the feeling that letting this liquid out of the plastic bag would be a very bad idea."

*Beat.*

"Welp, here goes nothing."

*Enjelica proceeds to make a move to rip the top off the plastic bag with, shamefully, a karate chop combined with phasing her hand through the plastic a little.*

The plastic is ripped open, and the liquid makes a cheerful noise in response, gently seeping out of the box and dripping into the ground as some kind of semisolid mass, twisting and producing unusual formations, which it extends to Enjelica in the form of some kind of needle-like object.

Then, another screeching noise. It seems to be asking Enjelica some kind of favour...

"... Then why would ya free it dummy ?"

*Beat.*

"...I mean, someone else would've just freed it later if I hadn't, so it's not like I had much choice in the matter? And if things go badly, I know I can at least teleport out and get help, which is more than some bloody... Joe Bloggs the newspaper guy could do."

*She then stares at the liquid, watching it form patterns and extend a needletip. There's a pause...*

"Uh, strange liquid thingy, I have no idea what you're wanting me to do."

The liquid makes another weird noise, before making a fingertip appear, and then simulating the fingertip pricking the needle.

The liquid then makes a noise very much like one saying 'ta-da!'.

"Aw its cute."

*Beat.*

"Oh. You know, I don't normally give out donations or transplants, since I haven't tested to see if that passes on my... condition, to put it lightly. Buuuuut... okay then. I mean, assuming that's what you're asking for, and this isn't just your unusual version of a fistbump."

*She proceeds to poke the needle tip with one finger, waiting to see what happens next.*

Once Enjelica pricks herself with the needle, she should feel it taking some of her blood... then the needle retracts into the pool of liquid.

Then, at once, the liquid rises up, taking on a humanoid◊ form in an instant, with unusual-coloured skin and a single eye peeking from their bangs, a smile on their face.

"So do I explode you ?"

*There's a short pause from Enjelica. One might note that, despite clearly having been pricked with a needle and all that, she seems completely unharmed by it, showing no sign of having been pricked. Yet blood still left her body... once the humanoid has formed via combination of blood and whatever the weird liquid was, Enjelica shrugs.*

"Well, that could've gone worse. Ya can speak now, right? Who are ya?"

"Eryth Rufus, please! And, nah, you don't need to make me explode..."

The humanoid makes a shrugging motion, before smiling.

"Thanks for freeing me there! I had been captured by some weird group of anti-strange people at some point and locked into that box..."
