<OOC: Lets have some music for the fight shall we?>

Scales sent to the girls "Don't worry, I won't let the fire hit any of you, though you'll want to start floating behind me." Kate listen to the warning and jumped behind Scales.

The dragon turned his body 90 degrees, taking a vertical position with his head on top and front facing the direction of the jars and then, his body got bigger, much bigger. Scales' growth was quickly over, with him 40 metres long from his head to his tail. The tough, fire-resistant scales meant the jar flames were barely affecting the familiar. "Now, Kate start firing, Mira & Lupi, it's time to get to the ground."

Kate heeded Scales' advice and started firing out from the cover the dragon gave, shooting a bolt at one of the jars, letting the crossbow reload itself and then giving in another shot to the same jar.

<OOC:Well, if Justa gonna have a battle music for Eluran, might as well post one for Rallis>

<OOC: Best played after the laser blast.>

Lisha appeared on the other side of her portal, sidestepped to allow the people to escape the scene.

"Okay, I've saved some of the civvies from the incoming blast..." Lisha reported, though obviously exhausted from all the running and the overcasted core. She was soon interrupted by the deafening blast of the lasers colliding with the gatehouse. She winced at the mere pain in her ears, like a white noise, it was unlike anything she has encountered in her life. And just yesterday, she thought her superior's reprimandation is a pain in the ears. Meanwhile, QTpie saw that their colleagues was already working on hurting the thing from the air temple, though from what she could see, it did not seem to make a dent into the monster."I don't think we can hurt it from here," QTpie stated the obvious. Holy fuck, Lisha thought, how could we be able to stop this thing? How could I stop this thing?

She shook that weakening thought of her mind. She see the flow of people that has escaped the blast, and their expression. Though still panicking, most of them seemed grateful for her rescue and she remembered what she need to do.

"Okay," Lisha said to kickstart her mind to motion. "There's no way in hell we would fight that thing in this city, the damage would be too fucking much. We will bring this fight to them BUT..."

She emphasised the but to pre-emptively cut off anyone who thinks it sounds insane. "I will provide our own cover, our own shadow. I will overcast to create a huge shadow dome around that monstrosity for us to hide in and strike. Trust me, I've done it before, it was on the whole Parn Palace, anyone in favour?"

After hearing Scales' command, Mira mounted her spear and began hovering behind him. I wonder if I could've redirected those flames. Eh, oh well. Too late now.

She edged over to the Apostle, and when she was above it dropped her flight spell to try and perform a Shield Breaking Strike on the creature's carapace. She followed this with a few orbs of flame to the same spot for good measure. Realizing she was way too close to the ground at ths point, Mira reactivated her wepon's flight to soften her fall.

Good plan, Luna told Lisha, nodding to her . "Just one thing. I think those friends of him are generating that forcefield. I will try to take them out"

"...four bigger ones, around which some sort of energy gathered."

Luna the fairy then flew 5 meters from the apostle to try to shoot the closest minion it had with her bow, using bolt charged arrows. As she was using her weapon to focus her level 3 lightning spells.

Overnl inhaled sharply as she beheld the great beast. I don't know what I expected, but it certainly wasn't that.

"Agreed, my lady," said Lavark as the rest of the puella magi formed behind her. The gold and white serpent appeared unfazed by the Apostle. He was confident in the abilities of his mistress and looked forward to what could be learned from that mountain of hate and flesh. The others leaped into action while Sara informed Overnl that she required metal.

Nodding, a cloud of white smoke surrounded Overnl with a loud BANG. She shot upward from the smoke on her scythe, clothed in her gold and white magical girl uniform. The mute elf began searching for metal within the earth as the Apostle unleashed its devastating power. Molten iron burst from the stones beneath Overnl, solidifying into a pillar several meters tall and two meters wide. The corners of her mouth tightened as the massive beam of energy collided with the city. The earth shook. The great gate exploded. Screams followed.

Lavark, inform Sara that I'm about to shake things up a bit.

"Miss Invogliare, my lady is...well, going to shake things up a bit," Lavark relayed as Overnl shot beyond the wall on her scythe. "Brace yourself."

She landed just outside the ruined city gate. Ignoring the screams and cries of the wounded, she slammed the butt of her scythe on the scorched earth. All was still for a moment as Overnl overcast the earth magic. The earth groaned and shook before shattering in a large area before the city. Sharp spires and walls of brilliant crystal rose to form another layer of protection for the city.

Lavark smiled and winked at Sara as the crystalline formations continued to stretch to the heavens. "Miss Invogliare, I apologize for not being completely honest about my lady's abilities. She's not a mere master lithomancer; she's quite possibly the most powerful one in existence. I am glad she's finally putting her abilities to practicial uses." The serpent observed the structures reaching their final height. "I've never been more proud."

Sara gritted her teeth in irritation. She had a plan, and then the lapdog had to go and second-guess her in front of everyone without even grasping the plan to begin with! And now she had the nerve to upstage her- She cut that line of thinking off. Now wasn't the time to take offense.

On the bright side, if Parn's magical girls work together like this, I can rule them out as a threat, for now.

Just as the concerted effort of the whole seemed to be rapidly degrading into the disjointed efforts of individuals, however, her elven associate came through.

"Let's not pat ourselves on the back just yet," she advised Lavark. "We've still got a battle to win."

The molten iron's better than I'd hoped for, but now we need the pixie's attention... We can do that after the field is down.

"Overnl, how much iron can you get us, and can you get it into a more cylindrical shape? My basic plan is this- it seems like the the flying things are linked to its blast, and unless I miss my guess, the four with the energy are creating the shield. Theoretically speaking, once the forcefield is down, Luna should be able to use her lightning magic's inherent control over magnetic fields to launch the pieces of iron at the Apostle at devastating velocities. Saying the two of you put together are a walking heavy artillery emplacement is putting it mildly."

"Lapdo-" she coughed- "-Lisha, can you get me over to it? Beck and Call are my primary method of attack, and I can make life miserable for the smaller beings once I'm in range. We can run interference for them, maybe even weaken it, but my plan only works if we all work together. I'd need you and your shadow portals to keep me mobile so I don't get swarmed."

Forests of Eluran, Flames of Viserinos

A tempest of fire, a whirl of demonic jars, and the black shelled Apostle that stood at the center. Dropping off the dragon to face the strange beast, Lupi's body was accosted by the heat of the blaze.

A tempest of fire... Lupi's very first mastered magic. The scorching earth, unbearable to even some of the strongest warriors, meant little to the small pixie. Though it seemed to matter just as much to the Apostle, as well. What else to do then...?

Lupi approached the insectoid beast from its opposite angle to Mira, dropping down to beneath its legs, where it appeared to be weakest. Her wings broke off, and crystallized behind her... the glow of her mark expanded into a magic circle... her entire aura expanded out, violet with the glow of telekinetic energy.

Lupi held her arms forward towards the burning forests, placing them between her and the monster... "Just a bug..."

"BUGS GET SWATTED!" Spreading arms out, a massive wave of energy slashed out, severing the burning trees from their roots, firing the flaming logs at the beast's legs. Sever them from the ground to minimize spread, and use them to strike at the enemy at the same time. Basic, but effective... hopefully.

Lisha nodded back at Luna, giving her confidence in her hastily added teammates, though Luna retracted some of it when she goes off to the monster and started shooting lightning bolts at it. Her thoughts were then gone as she lost balance from the rumbling under the stones, she looked towards the source of that rumbling, which was a huge pillar of molten iron right beside her, then she went ahead and made a formation crystalline of walls across city, and all Lisha was thinking seeing that was how difficult would it be to travel between the inside and outside.

Lisha's ears perked up when she heard Sara calling her, and she pretend that didn't hear her verbally erasing 'lapdog' for the sake of the team's synergy. She heard what Sara have to say, shrugged and said "Very well. With my mobility and shadow dome, you'll be safe and sound."

She stepped towards Sara until they're very close, aggressively grabbed her around the waist and said "Just tell me where to go and we'll be there."

Meanwhile, QTpie was more bothered by an hour long magic gate Lisha made and wondered if it's going to get more uses later on, for civvies and for teammates. Her mind was then quickly occupied by the fact that Lisha have been strangely close, physically that is, to Sara. The fairy was pretty sure that, if this situation were to be less urgent, Lisha would have recognized that this is kinda of an awkward way to ask where they are going but QTpie will just gonna have to roll with it.

“It's gone, but never mind that,” Frigg said. “There's an Apostle past that portal, we must destroy it! Lupi — the Pixie — already went through, as did the rest of the girls who were here. Come on!”
Without further ado, she jumped into the portal.

Eluran — Sacred Grove

Frigg landed softly in the grove. Her coat glowed and vanished, leaving a blue tunic, pair of pants and knee-high boots behind. A billowing cloak, fastened by a golden badge, wrapped itself around the Magical Girl; a pair of belts tied themselves on, and a large, black gauntlet formed over her left hand.
Frigg lifted her other hand up in the air, and a gold-and-white sword materialised in her hand.
Her transformation done in the blink of an eye, she looked around. Noticing the telltale signs of magic being cast, she hurriedly headed toward the battle, taking great leaps and cutting whatever boughs that stood in her way down.

Rallis

The crystal walls did solve a problem none of the Magical Girls could have predicted... for as soon as the way into the city was opened, from the mass of demons that accompanied the Apostle, a sizable number started to rush faster than a galloping horse towards the opening... numerous demons, a bit bigger than a human, bestial in appearance... which would have likely rushed into the sacred city to start devouring the inhabitants. The crystal wall however stopped them in their tracks... through they started to hit and claw at it and the stone ones, trying to climb their way up.

As for Luna, it would be a little while until it managed to get close to the Apostle... and to the creatures projecting the forcefield. These demons had roughly the shape of giant turtles... one spherical shell from which came paws dragging a body the size of a house through the ground... and from the dark shell came lines and runes of magical power... projecting near Master level abjuration magic in a big array.

Luna attacked with lightning at one of them... and after a few arrows and cracks, managed to break the shell of one of the creatures.... causing it to cry out... and a pair of slender, humanoid looking demons with scythe shaped arms began to move from the rearguard, jumping incredibly high to try and cut her in half.

Eluran

In the forest, the fire of the jars flared up to try and consume the Magical Girls and Dragon... however, Scale's mighty form was more than enough to cover from such trifling spells... and while he could feel the heat it didn't harm him overly.

The shield breaking strike struck hard, and given it's design did crack the carapace... but not hard enough to break it on that point. Then, however, came Lupi's telekinetic attack with three... a barrage of heavy blows as she dropped so many of them onto the insect like creature... however, the scattered attack didn't do too much direct damage, only impeding the mobility of the bug for a moment... and then revealing it's allies hiding in the woods... demons in the shape of great felines but with their heads replaced with sharp, crescent moon shaped blades.

The Apostle, trapped by the trees then did what it could... curling up into seemingly a ball... and then its carapace flared bright in flames... as suddenly huge gushes of flame flared all around it... utterly disintegrating the trees as the monster then started to roll in the direction of Eluran... shooting flames in all directions as it did.

If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.

".. Ah-" Mira cried out, partially in annoyance, partially in shock. She could sort of see Eluran in the distance... Is that its goal? I wouldn't be surprised.. Its an Apostle after all. But what do I do, what do I do, what do I- She thought frantically, before something seemed to dawn on her.

"Hey! Hello over there!" She yelled at the other two girls. "I think I've got an idea, could you stall that stupid bug for a second? Actually, more like five minutes?" Not waiting to hear their reactions, she sprinted off after the Apostle- then flying after and overtaking it with her spear.

Kate destroyed one of the Jars. With the Apostle's change in strategy, it seemed that there needs to be more help on the ground. With Mira's call for stalling, Scales was about to heed this call.

"Kate, I'm going to try to delay the Apostle. You go deal with the tigers."

"But there's so many of them! Why can't I stay close to you?"

"Kate, if I knew you couldn't handle it, I wouldn't have suggested the idea. I need to put my all into stopping this insect and the less beasts there are out there, the easier my job will be."

The half-elf couldn't argue with the dragon and took off, dodging the jar's fireballs until she got out of their distance. Then Kate flew above the area the felines were and shot down crossbow bolts at the monsters.

Scales meanwhile flew on the path of the monster, it rolled quickly but the familiar's wings were able to surpass it's speed. When the dragon was a decent distance in front of the beetle, it flew straight at the creature's path. Scales was prepared to catch the thing with his front claws while mounting his hind legs on the ground after he does. It was much bigger than him but Scales had confidence in his own strength and the momentum he created.

As Lisha's arms wrapped around her waist, Sara's hands instinctively went to her shoulders. For a split second, the Black Lotus' confident bearing melted as she looked up at the taller girl. Sara looked nervous, delicate, and vulnerable, like a young woman facing her first kiss before she was prepared.

The approaching demons snapped her out of her distracted state.

"This is no time to fraternize, Lapdog!" she snapped angrily, slapping a hand against her chest. Gritting her teeth, she continued. "Get me about... thirty feet behind Luna."

This is going to be a close one...Let's hope the thing can only go straight forward... Mira thought as she flew to a point she hoped was equidistant between Eluran and the Apostle. She dropped to the ground and began digging. Hoping her plan wasn't stupid or too slow, she started burrowing into the ground in a spiral- ish pattern.

Hearing Mira's request, and with Kate covering the smaller monsters, Lupi flew over to behind the rolling Apostle and held out her hands.

"Oy, oy, where do you think you're going?!" Smacking her hands together, a giant pair of glowing hands appeared along the sides of the bug beast, grabbing it from both sides and yanking it backward, her pull aiding Scales' push.

When Sara's confidence melted, so too was Lisha's urgency, she felt like she was holding something delicate, then wondered why she was holding her like this in the first place.

It was when Sara angrily called her a lapdog was when Lisha snapped out of it. "Wha..." Lisha mumbled before parroting Sara's command quickly. "Oh, 30 feet behind Luna, got ya."

She glanced behind her to roughly see the location and summoned a portal behind her, then she dived right into it, pulling Sara along.

After they got to the other side, Lisha landed on her feet, holding onto Sara tightly. Lisha looked around to see that the monsters behind them are clawing away on the crystal wall. Imagine if the walls aren't there.

Lisha, with Sara still in her arms, conjure a pair of dark orbs in her hand, holding her breath deep in concentration before the orbs suddenly exploded in one huge dome, dark as a moonless starless night, its diameter reached from the crystal wall to Luna. Whatever enter the dome has their sense hazed; they see not even the tip of their nose, their hearing became dull, their noses smell nothing, even their skins began to numb. Lisha and QTpie, and hopefully Sara, were immune to this effect.

In addition, Lisha design the shadow construct in such a way that if the creatures at the ground level dare enter they would have to go through the sharp spiked circumference hidden in the dome.

QTpie have taken an initiative to go outside of the dome, for they have trained for this. If the enemies were to come in to the dome, or if the monster want to do something fishy, the fairy will zoom back to Lisha and tell her. She wished that they have telepathic link so that it'll be much easier but this'll do.

A thought occurred in Lisha's mind as she conjure the dome that Sara might not be accustomed to the darkness but that's what Lisha is here for, to guide her fellow magical girl through the darkness. "Don't worry about the darkness," she whispered her reassurance to Sara. She doesn't need to whisper and she knows it, old habits die hard. "Me and QTpie will guide you through it, and if you need a clear shot, I will open the dome and give you one. Understand?"

Chiara soared up and raced towards the battle. As she drew closer, she reached out the the shadows on the ground near the Apostle. She narrowed her eyes in concentration, and drew long tendrils of shadow out from every darkened space nearby and wrapped them as tightly as she could around the Apostle to hold it in place.

"What?" Sara asked, raising an eyebrow (not that it could be seen).

In the abyss, she could see nothing, and hear next to nothing. A whisper and a slight warmth around her ear was the only way she knew Lisha was speaking.

At least, she hoped that was her. Her grip tightened on Lisha's shoulders involuntarily.

Being disconnected from the world was one thing. She lived with that every day of her life.

Being unable to see anything, though. That was a somewhat worrisome predicament.

Overnl observed the demons' attempts to climb the crystalline wall with an impassive expression. Pathetic, she thought. Absolutely pathetic. All of this effort, and for what? The destruction of the Bright Lady's creation? Never bought those myths myself. There must be something more. The elf brushed the crystal wall with a four fingered hand, a demon clawing frantically at it. How sad, to be created only to destroy. Overnl's thoughts were interrupted by the sudden sphere of darkness enveloping her. Goddess damnit, Lavark, inform Lisha that I can't see. Also, that I'm going to kick her for this.

Lavark, who had remained at the temple, took flight. Sunlight played off his gold and white plumage, making him appear to be an emissary of the Bright Lady herself. "As you wish, my lady." He sped toward the dome of darkness. "Oh, did you hear Sara's plan, Overnl?"

I did, thanks to you.

"Excellent. Excuse me, Miss Lisha and Miss Invogliare? My lady cannot see!" Lavark shouted as her neared the barrier. He flared his wings to slow himself.

Lisha heard what Lavark has to say and rolled her eyes at her teammates, mentally called them plebs for not getting used to such darkness, she can see the outside just perfectly fine! Regardless, she lowered the darkness of the dome, by raising her hand and almost seems like she's pushing down a huge slider, so that at least they can see the hazy silhouette of the mountainous monster outside of the dome, as well as the other way around. She also turn up the 'volume' in her dome in case her teammates also can't hear her and she turned to Sara and said "By the way, you're gripping on my shoulder way too tight."

Eluran

Between Lupi and Scales they would significantly slow down the advance of the Apostle... however, not without a cost. The rolling thing continued to produce flames at all moments... magical fire the which would hurt even Scales after a while in its intensity. To make matters worse, the one smooth caparace was starting to grow a few spines to harm Scales as he tried to keep the monster in check some distance away from Mira.

Kate meanwhile became the sole focus of attention for the scythe headed tigers... and they were quick things, their progress marked by the scrambling and falling of trees where they passed. She shot at them but missed more than she hit... though she managed to fell one... however, two of them then jumped at her about to try and cut her to pieces.

Rallis

At Rallis the situation didn't change very much... Magdalena wouldn't find a foe worthy of her might in the creatures that rushed the wall, though their sheer numbers did demand her constant attention.

As for the globe of darkness, it didn't halt the slow advance of the Apostle and his creatures... though soon enough, the ones floating around it would begin producing magical energy again... the telltale sign of another blast.

If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.

Forests of Eluran

Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. The same command poured ceaselessly through Lupi's mind as she poured all of her power, all of her concentration into holding back the Apostle. Slowly she drifted down, even that small effort into floating being redirected... until the fairy's feet touched the ground. Like a blink, her mind lost focus, confused by the sudden floor beneath her, and her telekinetic grip weakened for a moment as her attention split between the Apostle and the sudden gravity.

Then, an idea. Huh? Ground? ...ground... ah.

With a smile, Lupi's telekinetic hands disappeared for a brief moment... before pushing up on the Apostle from below, countless hands all forcing the burning creature upwards, away from the ground... away from the floor it rolled upon.

So that's, um, Lupi going level 3+level 2 TK before losing flight, only level 3 when her concentration broke, then back to double TK for lift.

The flames were going through Scales flames, starting to burn his flesh. The spines seemed like they were aiming at the areas where he was burnt, it knew where to hit. But the dragon couldn't let go, Mira needed the apostle immobile, he has to endure the pain.

Kate seeing the two tigers attack her made the girl reach panic mode, accidentally unsummoning her crossbow. Still, even in this state of mind, Kate's reflexes were sharp as ever and she rose up before the felines could reach her, with the two beasts seeming like they were on a collision course with each other now...

Mira panted, covered in sweat and dirt. She looked at her handiwork and hoped it would be enough. Climbing out of the massive hole she'd dug, she surveyed it one last time to be sure it would be large enough.

The hole itself was about fifty feet wide. It didn't appear deep- and that was the point. The hole was designed to collapse in on itself under pressure- a trick she'd learned from some man eating antlions in the desert who'd, well, tried to eat her. Satisfied, she took off on her spear.

"HEY! I'm done you guys! Direct it over here!" She yelled as loud as possible, wildly gesturing in the direction of the hole.
