The Hope of Seikas - Fantasy Magical Girl RP

Ranais, The Sacred Capital

The girls who stepped through the portal to fight the Big Apostle would manifest in front a massive statue of the Goddess, set on an open air temple whose roof was held up with marble columns... high up on a hill, giving a good look of the city... and the coming terror.

For away from the city walls, miles away and yet clear as day to see... was the Apostle. The skies were cloudy around it... the very light from the area seemingly being drained, with the addition of blood red sparks of lightning flaring from time to time. A flock of small black winged creatures moved in swarm around coming devastation... the ground littered with smaller shuffling creatures... and about four bigger ones, around which some sort of energy gathered. And in the middle of all it... was the Apostle. A dark creature near the size of a mountain... 60 meters tall or more. At this distance the creature didn't seem to have any legs... just a big massive body slowly sliding through the ground supporting a long neck and nearly featureless, long head. The figure was somewhat similar to a slug or a swam gliding through the water. On it's body there were parts of him that glowed in eerie colors from time to time... lines of colored light that shifted with its movement as it slowly but steadily made its way towards the city.

These are the demons of the new era... ever since the sealing of Aversa, the traditional demons that people knew... bestial creatures like hellhounds, cerberos and the humanoid ones, capable of speech and reason such as devils and succubi had near all but vanished from the land in the years leading to the first Apostle appearance... and then, for the first time creatures bearing the power of Aversa appeared once again... seemingly lacking instinct and reason... veritable living machines carrying only the order of destroying all of civilization... and wielding terrifying power for it.

The 78th Dark Apostle - Alrathnas

Eluran, Sacred Grove

The group headed to Eluran would appear before a massive tree... around which great roots lay a lake surrounding the magnificent tree. There was a temple of white stones build right on top of those roots... and from a sacred idol on it, they appeared.

At first, there didn't seem to be anything wrong in the vast forest they could see in the distance... However, after a little while the girls in Eluran would notice... smoke. Smoke on the horizon, rising from the treeline many, many miles away.

Ranais, The Sacred Capital

Luna, the fairy, knelt infront the goddess statue when she arrived and began to "pray" audibly to the fallen deity.

"I've to confess my faith in you hasn't been as strong as It should. Day after day I still have doubts plaguing my mind. If you can hear me , please give me strength to fight forever more. For my faith in you, the hope in that I will know true friendship, and the deep bonds of love, are the only things I have left".

Luna then stood up and viewed the apostle from a far while she sighed deeply, before trying to activate her powers, willingly, for the first time, to finally face her fate as a magical girl.

Eluran, Sacred Grove

Mira dismounted Scales and looked around. What a pretty lake...

She turned around.

It took a moment, but she noticed the smoke rising in the distance. "I guess that's where the Apostle is." Mira said, more to herself than anyone else.

Hm. I never really did this before, but.. Wish me luck, Eleisa. Sorry if I don't know how to pray properly(?) She thought at the nearby statue.

Ranais

Not pausing for a moment, Eirika ran from the temple, leaping onto two raised mounds of earth as soon as she reached an open street, riding the packed earth to the city's walls. Upon reaching the mighty ramparts surrounding the city, she quickly made her way up the wall to survey the beast and think over a strategy. And on second thought, maybe waiting for the others who had come was a good idea too, especially with how large the beast seemed to be even from this distance.

"By the goddess," Sara whispered breathlessly. "Alright... we'll need to- Wait!" she called out as Erika ran past her. Gritting her teeth, she shook her head.

"Alright," she nodded resolutely, stepping forward and turning around to face the rest group. "Objective: incapacitate or kill Chaos Apostle en route to the city before it destroys the city. Current resources: us. The city might have something to help us, but time is of the essence right now."

"The way I see it, there are two ways we can work this; we can wait here and fight it from the city, or we can try to intercept it ourselves and kill it before it gets here. The first option is safer for us, but it puts the city directly in harm's way. The second option keeps the city mostly out of the line of fire, but it puts us at greater risk."

A thought occurred to her.

"...Does anyone here have lightning?"

Transformation sequence

"it's time," Luna sighed as she touched her heart with both of her hands to trigger her transformation. "Let the Love in my heart shine and guide me even in the darkness of death."

Suddenly Luna's body began to glow, The image of a full moon was on her back and the wind blowing her hair. She closed her eyes as her clothes were replaced by a black Victorian dress, both her hair and her wings grew very large in an angelic size . Some tatoos appeared on her face as electricity began to run through her body.

Her bow appearing on her hands, as her wings began move, she began to fly up before approaching the apostle.

"It worked! and I am flying! I think I can feel the magic already, making me stronger" she said happily before addressing as this was her first time transforming, Mira" We wouldn't want to let Eirikia have all the fun, would we?"

and then to Sara "I do," she said as she she loaded some bolt arrows on her bow.

"Then I've got an idea!" A full grin spread across Sara's face. "Ovenrl, I'm going to need your help on this one, if the two of you are willing. And we'll need lots of metal."

Unlike Mira, Kate stuck on Scales saw the peaceful lake and forest, her awe didn't come out, confusion surfacing instead. Kate thought this place would be more crisis-y.

Looking at the goddess statue. While Kate has cursed Eleisa in the past for not giving her more powerful but it shouldn't be forgotten, she sacrifice herself for everyone, she might have not been standing here now if it wasn't for her. And her blessing was still a gift, it gave Kate a chance to be a heroine like in the stories and allowed the half-elf to meet Scales.

After Kate's dwelling, the smoke became clear. Kate was trying to get an idea of what is happening in the smokey area but it was too far to see, or so she thought. The magical girl's eyes started to zoom in, focusing on the area where the smoke was coming from.

Ranais

It's weird to think that Lisha thought that she might not get used to this weird 'sigil teleporting' thing when she herself do the teleporting stuff but here she was thinking about it as she get herself used to this new environment.

She looked around for a bit and said to QTpie "Well, this looks kinda like beautiful, kinda, would hate if this apostle get even an inch close to it."

And then her eyes gazed upon the apostle itself. She promptly said "Oh..." as she realized how truly powerful it's gonna be and how she has poor decision making skills.

"That's some big ass pile of blob," her fairy stated the obvious.

"Yeah, we need to have a plan for this."

She overhear the others if they have a plan or not and indeed they do, it looks like they want to shock this thing to death.

Sounds like a sound plan, but still, it could use some more modification, so Lisha suggested "I don't know what you're planning but I don't think we need metal for this. Wait now, what do they say? About the human body and proportion of things? Blood is an energy conductor, it is full of that, all we need is this fairy chick here to shock that thing."

"Bloodrocuted?" QTpie tried to came up with a pun to lighten the situation but then immediately regretted saying that and said "Oh God, that joke's bad, I'm sorry."

"And..." Lisha continued, trying to ignore that joke as hard as possible. "It looks like that thing is guarded by some flying creatures. I could not possibly think about even causing a paper cut on that apostle but I could keep the lesser beings off ya guys. Also, I can keep you guys safe in my shadows and help you get around faster with my teleportation, if you guys are willing, what do ya say?"

Luna-Making new friends.

It was at this point that Luna notices Lisha and Sara arriving through the portal. She had been in such a rush before that she hadn't seeing her coming with them.

"Hello there! My name is Luna she greeted to Sara and Lisha. I don't think we've met yet," she smiled while easing her grip on her bow.

But then Something caught her attention, near Lisha, she had a small companion...

"Wait! you are a fairy like me!" she said surprised to see Qtpie, the small winged creature talking with Lisha. "Why are you acting like a familiar? We fairies are supposed to be free," she stared at her confused.

Lisha and QTpie raised an eyebrow in confusion by Luna's comment.

"Erm..." the fairy started saying. "I don't know if you know this but this is my job. This is actually one of the best job I could have, I was in this maid agency in Eluran ever so smartly called 'The Fairy Best'. We do jobs for every race, including human. Then when a magical girl has contacted us via a summoning ritual, the CEO would handpicked the best of us servants, which is just so happens to be me."

"You were once a maid?" Lisha asked.

"Well, you never really ask of my past."

"But you don't look or act like-"

"No, because, for one, cleaning and cooking and such is not something I do because the Parn Palace already has servants that have that handled, I'm here to simply to help you in combat and stealth and also provide you company, which is good because it's a break from being fake as fuck from my years of working lard-ass bourgeois being a little bitch if their fucking diamond crusted plates aren't sparkling enough, now I can be 'real', ya feel me?"

"Erm...thanks? Should I feel good for being appreciated?"

"Ehm... sorry," she apologized to Lisha and Qtpie, before she started to blush and play with her hair in nervousness after assuming things , without thinking.

"I guess it's because I really don't interact with many of our kind lately. Well to be honest you are the first I've met," she admitted to the other fairy, before giving a nervous smile to both.

RPG, Mira's in Eluran. Did you mean someone else?

"Hm... " Mira gazed off in the direction of the smoke cloud. "I can sort of see it from here, but not enough to judge its abilities... I guess we should make a plan? The most I can think of for now is that Scales and I'll be front guard and you'll back us up, what with you having a ranged weapon and all."

"Magic isn't a cudgel, you barbarian," Sara snapped in irritation. "There's room for a bit more elegance."

Rallis

As the Magical Girls prepared for the battle, saw their foe and discusses their possibilities, Alrathnas would for the first time show their might.

The girls with the best eyes would see how a pair of dark figures flew around the great apostle... producing a fell glow of magical energy as the Apostle opened their mouth... power gathering into their maw... power, so much power gathering within! Drawing in the darkness he produced... To then, in a howling roar let out a blast of energy headed to the East Gatehouse of Rallis Capital.

The blast approaches... An Overcast Great Beam, empowered by Master level Fell Magic. The sheer destructive potential in that attack was overwhelming. Only one thing could stop it... and that would be Abjuration Magic of the highest order being Overcast at the right moment.

Aside from that... it was recommended for all who wished to live to move away from the East Gatehouse and fast.

Eluran

Kate's keen sight would allow her to peer far into the distance... and as such, see the true visage of the Apostle they would be fighting... or at least part of it. The creature seemed to have a thick, black shell... it's size at least 25 meters tall and a lot longer. It seemed vaguely insect-like in appearance... and through the joints in its exoskeleton there was a red glow... smoke and flames appearing through it every few moments. Around it there were dark shapes which she couldn't make out properly... however, flying around it were another set of spherical demons... looking almost like jars that every few seconds shot bursts of flame at the forest.

The 79th Dark Apostle - Viserinos

Chiara homed in on her familiar's signal, landing lightly on the grass before Frigg. As she'd flown, her magical girl costume had reshaped itself, going from a thick winter-ready coat and boots to a long-skirted blue dress with a grey vest like the skin of a pearl and deep blue arm wraps. Around her shoulders hung a shawl-like cape that looked as thought it had been sewn out of the clear night sky over Northstein's mountains, and a sash in borealis colors wrapped around her waist. Shadows seemed to curl in the folds of her skirt, and the pale streaks and patches on Chiara's skin and hair seemed to glow.

"Frigg!" she said. "What's going on? Where's the dragon?"

When the mountainous monstrosity fired its laser that is about to approach and destroy the East gatehouse, it kinda put a wrench into their plan. That at least earned a "Holy shit!" in a whisper from QTpie and raised eyebrows from Lisha.

"Ok, change of plans," Lisha proposed hurriedly. "I will have to evacuate the civilians out of the gatehouse right there. I'll join you guys when I'm finished, ok?"

She did not expect any answers from her acquaintances as she already teleported herself and QTpie to the nearest city skyline when she finish her sentence and started her frantic sprint towards the gatehouse, jumping over gaps and such.

"I actually got a clear view of the apostle just now" mentioned Kate. She's not sure how she did but the important thing is she got clear information on it and started to explain everything she saw...

After Kate's explaination, Scales said "I think it would be best if I took the flying spheres down first with how much damage they're doing. I'm probably the best flier of us. Mira, if you're willing to be on the frontline I'll depend on you to protect Kate on the ground!"

Kate didn't like part of Scales' idea and sent a message just to him "Wait, you want me on the ground with the insect? I don't think my bolts could go through the exoskeleton!"

"Than aim for the red glow" sent back Scales, "there will be no exoskeleton there." Scales unsummoned the bandanna around his neck, he believed wearing it in battle might prove to be a choking hazard. The dragon than turned to the pixie and asked "Do you have any ideas?"

"Got it. Leave your back to me, Kate." She seemed to remember something, and added, "Ah, yeah! I can fly, too. Probably not as fast as a dragon, but good enough."

She started as she noticed the Northerners. "Whoa, how did I not see you guys before?"

Once Lisha approached the gatehouse, however, she soon realised that she's stripped for time, the laser arrives sooner than expected, looking like it's about to hit the gatehouse. She briefly glanced at the scene below and there are people already running around panicking with anywhere in their mind except in the gatehouse.

After a bit of quick thinking, Lisha said "Fuck it.", teleported herself down in a good distance away from the front of the gatehouse and overcasted one of her core to create a magic gate behind her that leads back to the open air temple.

"Go through this portal if you want to live!" she commanded at the top of her lungs before jumping into her own portal, hoping that people have heard her and do as she told them to. Fuck me, she thought, I already wasted one of my core just so I can evacuate them. Hope they appreciate it.

The bow of lightning

While Lisha helped to save innocent people, without hesitating the dark fairy used her level 1 darkness powers to hide in the shadows, behind the statue of the goddess.

She began to shoot her lightning arrows towards the apostle's herals. Those winged creatures that seemed to protect it, aiming to their eyes, or at least where there would be and finally she would try to shoot arrows at were the apostle's eyes might be.

Making the apostle focus on finding her instead of attacking civilians was her best bet, until the girls could think of a better plan.

Rallis

Eirika saw the incoming blast and immediately began raising walls of Fell-enhanced bronze as large and as quickly as she could to hopefully slow it's coming, perhaps buy some time for her fellow magical girls to evacuate the civilians. Then, raging at the casually attempted slaughter, Eirika formed a lance of green flame, which she then hurled mightily at the distant beast to show her displeasure.

Eluran, Sacred Grove

Lupi took a deep breath. There was no doubt about it - this was Eluran, alright. The smell of the forest, the moisture in the air, the vibrant life magic that permeated the world around them - all of it was signature to the forests of the fae and elvenkind.

And another familiar smell too... one far off in the distance... of the woods on fire.

"Dammit, no one messes with Eluran except me!" Lupi said... aloud. "And don't forget about me! I may be a tiny pixie, but nobody's better at super spells than I am! Just get me over there, and I can squash the Apostle with fire, lightning, or TK!"

Beat. "Oh, and I can fly too, but only about 30 miles an hour... Can we start the plan after dragon-buddy rides us all closer to the bad guy?"

Scales examined that the pixie seemed to have a lot of firepower, but seemed a bit on the reckless side. "Change of plans, Lupi use your powerful spells on the glowing red areas of the apostle while you Mira will help defend her. Kate and I will take care of aerial support until the spheres are defeated, then I'll help you on the ground. Now, you two girls get on me and hold on tight, because I'll be flying fast!"

Rallis Capital

The initial actions of the Magical Girls wouldn't prove to be very effective in the beginning.

Lisha did manage to save people who would have surely perished if not for her quick portal and warning... about 37 people managed to reach the portal before the blast.

Lisha's attack was hardly effective... the distance was far too great from the temple on the heart of the city to the Apostle who was attacking from miles away. By the time the arrows reached him, they were lacking their strongest punch... and worst yet, they hit... a barrier? Something was protecting the Apostle from attack.

Eirika's hasty actions spending as much magic energy in many actions as possible weren't extremely effective... at least the attack. The walls of bronze did raise in the coming path of the Apostle's attack... and they did rob it some of its strength. But that attack was just too overwhelming... and as it connected with the gatehouse, the whole city was suddenly deafened with the sound of the massive explosion... as stone itself was disintegrated, the entirety of the gatehouse, some of the walls and a whole block behind it utterly destroyed... and damage extending further on.

Such was the might of the Apostle's attack... all from so far away. To face him, the girls would need to leave the city or wait for it to come yet closer as it continued to assail the city with his attacks.

Deep in the Forests of Eluran

The girls that decided to mount Scales would make their trip towards the Apostle in a little while... and from closer on, they could see the trail of devastation the thing was creating. Magical fire spreading and consuming all it could all around the area where the Apostle moved... only helped more by the jar demons which seemed to detect threats or things that were resisting the advance of the Apostle and firing at them... and Magical Girls definitely count for that.

As Scales approached, the jars turned towards him, shooting fireballs at him and the girls on him.
