"If I were to fall to her whim... Strike down the innocent and succumb to the treacherous.. I would sooner gut myself with my own sword." Malika hissed out in reply. However, Scales did have reason, both Enoch and Idris agreed.

"And you're wrong... I will purify this world of its corruption, even if I die in the process... but for now.."

She lowered her blade, and set it back at her side. The blade did not connect anywhere, it merely floated where it should be if it was sheathed.

Luna the perky fairy

Truth be told I don't care if you're a fell user, or how dark your past is... she said while her wings got closer as if showing shame.

She took a deep breath and after some time I am glad I discovered magic, because I always wanted to have friends she then opened her eyes widely, her face began to blush as she instantly regretted her honesty.

I just... I just ...think we could become something that could change the world, that could make the goddess proud

Lupi frowned at Frigg's nickname suggestion. "No, I don't like that nickname. I don't like that nickname one bit. And I know I wouldn't become a straight up frost master, it's just, you know, immersing yourself in the cold, and being one with the cold, and all that jazz- Figured I'd give that a try, beats going to Magstara and being made into a magical slave!"

"Also!" Lupi pointed at Chiara as she spoke. "You said almost the exact same thing your friend said! You shouldn't say things so closely similar! It's, um... not kosher!!"

Then Taki rushed toward her, making the little pixie tumble backwards in mid-float. "...you wanna see magic? Hmm..."

Lupi concentrated a little, and a dozen or so little sparklets of flame appeared around her, spiraling and dancing around in the air, soon joined by sparkles of tiny lightning, all swirling and spinning like couples in a ballroom.

There was a brief pause before Lupi flailed, dissipating the sprites. "Gah! I'm not a street magician!" She pouted and sat her white poofiness down onto the altar by the shrine... Activating a small, blue sigil which glowed beneath her, and suddenly enveloped her in its light.

"Wah-"

And then the pixie was gone.

Frigg opened her mouth to say something about thinking alike, but before she even uttered a word the pixie was gone. The blue-haired girl looked from the spot Lupi occupied a moment ago to the priestess, then to her companions.
She cracked her knuckles noisily. “Alright, guys, we have a Situation here!” Frigg didn't sound sorry at the least. “We must resolve it to the best of our ability!”
Of course, the best of her ability was walking to the altar and touching the same glyph, not worrying for a second that it might incinerate her or something.

Taki seemed momentarily excited when it looked as if the pixie was going to demonstrate some magic, and fluttered back with her wings, seeming as if she was an audience member getting ready for a show.

The harpy seemed rather disappointed by the display put on by the pixie.

"...That's not magic, Little-Hungry." Taki mournfully noted. Frowning as she tilted her head at the little sparks "Taki can do stuff like that, so that's not magic, cause Taki can't do magic."

Backing away again as the pixie through her tantrum, Taki looked on with curiosity when Lupi disappeared in a flash of light. Glancing towards the others, Taki voiced her curiosity "Taki can't do that. Was that magic?"

When Frigg followed a few moments later, Taki turned towards Chiara "Was that magic?"

The Dream

As people continued to bicker due to the nature of Fell, suddenly something happened in the blink of an eye between Eirika and Malika. Suddenly in between them was the round, white creature... Bouncer. In the blink of an eye he had disappeared from where he was standing and appeared between them... lifting his big hands, open, between the two of them as if bidding them to stop ".::. .:.. . .: ... . :.. ::: :. .::::. : ..:. .. ::. .... : : .... . ... .: :.:. .:. . :.. ::: :. . ... ... .... ::: ..: .:.. :.. :. .::::. : ..:. .. ::. .... :"

"Ah... girls, please don't fight. No fighting is permitted in the Dream. Specially between the Chosen of the Goddess..." says Syl, taking a step forward.

"What Luna says is very true... The power conferred can be used to do great good... it is meant to do great good. But it also can do much ill..." says Syl, looking down sadly "Using a power isn't inherently good or evil... However, Malika is right in certain ways"

"Fell is the magic of the Opposite... The Great Enemy. It brings forth great power... but its very nature draws one closer to the darkness. To just wield it is one thing... but to Master it is to let it shape your soul... and to grow closer to that darkness. To the loneliness... to the cut off self. Such a fate goes against what the Great Goddess wanted for her children... for all to be together. Joined"

Syl then smiles at Eirika "Each Magical Girl, as they are given the Gift and expand upon it, are free to shape themselves as they see fit... just for those choices there is nothing to scorn. It is our actions that shape us after all. However... as one who exists to care and help you, I cannot help but to worry the most for those who walk the Fell path. I'd ask for you to steer aside from it... but at the very least, may we talk later to ensure you're safe as you explore that side of magic?"

Aleen Shiara

"Indeed, it is not a welcome situation. I never once claimed that the need for such a ritual is not a very sad state of affairs. Tragic really. But please, I'll ask you not to speak so freely of the Archmages when you have not met with them. When you have not seen how they care for this nation and everyone within... specially the Chosen ones" says Captain Aleen, eyes bright and determinate on that point.

"I'd wish you would tell me who was the girl who faced such a situation... Not for speaking with you. Indeed, I'd like for you to meet some of the girls working in our universities. But because I worry about the company she keeps... to hear that she was willingly pushed by peers into glancing at forbidden secrets makes my blood boil. If the Archmages were strict with her, it was merely because they truly wish to steer her away from a dangerous path"

"As for why it is that the Archmages do as they do... why the sealing is so important? The truth of it lies in the calamity of Ishad" says the Captain... referring to an event known in the Kingdom but shrouded in mystery. Of the second biggest city in Magstara, Ishad... and how one day it had been lost in flames. There were speculation... the government merely said that a magical experiment went awry. Many believed that it was the work of an Apostle... however "If you truly want to know why the Seal is so important go to the ruins of Ishad... and you'll hear the whole story"

As Lisha and QTpie followed the silver road to make sense of this strange place, eventually the tower is within their sight. Looks ominous, strange, might, they dare say, a tad dangerous but at least there's many point of entry, that feature is what Lisha liked the most when she's 'working'. The duo rendezvous in the nearby bush so that QTpie can remind her of the fell caster they left behind.

"What about her?" Lisha asked.

"Well, that's your first real task, now, isn't it?" The fairy pointed out with a sassy cross arm. "I mean, ever since you got inducted into the Emperor's court, all you do is chilling in his pads and 'training', escorting this Sara back to the court would prove to the Emperor that you would be a good keep-"

"What the fuck are you implying?"

"If you fuck up this simple job by losing Sara AND the invitation, what would they think?"

"They wouldn't fucking think of it when I'm going to tell them of this...place. I mean, of course, when we get back, we have to fill in the paperworks, not to mention the tons of interview we're going to get but fuck it, I ain't going to talk to that bitch, let alone convince her to go."

QTpie rose an eyebrow at her fellow human and observed "You REALLY don't like meeting new people, don't ya?"

"Of course, have ya know me?"

The fairy shrugged and said "Of course." under her breath.

Together, they made a small dash towards the building and lean against the wall, Lisha signaled to QTpie to take a peak inside. The fairy poke her head in to assess the building.

"Lots of cushions, Lish," she said idly as she scans the room."And some people there. And a bitch with a fancy ass cloak. Oh, and a...floating white sphere?"

"What?"

"Don't believe me? Check them out."

And so Lisha did, she lean out to the side and see them for herself.

Chiara frowned. "...Yes, Taki I do think that was magic." She thought for a moment, then walked over to the elegant trees surrounding the spring. She reached up to grab a small branch, and said, "If you trees are alive: Sorry about this."

Chiara snapped off the branch and walked back over to where Frigg and Lupi had disappeared. She frowned at the sigil, and then prodded it with her stick.

The Dream

Sara tore her hand away from the Sigil in surprise and discomfort.

"Ow! Son of a drake!" she hissed. Even through her glove, that thing was hot!

Glaring up at the Sigil, she did a double-take. Where the monolith had been was a tall stone covered with the same sigil she had seen before. And that wasn't all that had changed. Around her, an elaborate tower with shimmering walls apparently made of pure magic stood.

"Fascinating..." she murmured as she took it all in. Shaking off her wonder, she cast her gaze about the tower, searching for a point of egress, locating an arc in the wall, with a glowing path leading into a forest with low-hanging mist.

"It's beautiful," she said aloud, already feeling tears welling up. "No, no, no!" she growled, swiping them from her eyes angrily. "We can cry later. Once we know it's safe!" Her eyes still felt hot, but the waterworks that threatened to burst forth reluctantly obeyed as she forced herself to focus on the mission at hand.

Setting off at a brisk jog, she followed the glowing path, casting her gaze about for the lapdog/fairy duo she'd lost track of.

Eirika's expression and body language had closed off defensively the moment Malika had leveled her accusations, though when the others came to her defense in their own ways her brow knit in slight puzzlement, wondering at why they'd defend one they'd just met from the one society dictated was in the right. Then as Syl made her own statement, Eirika thought over the others' words before responding, "My reasons are my own for taking up this power, but there is a burden I hold which I will not allow others to shoulder for my sake. My fate is mine alone, and no one else should suffer for it. If solitude is the price I pay for that cause, I will gladly bear that cost." She paused, biting her lip as she considered her next words, "I... cannot say I understand any of your feelings on the subject, but I assure you I mean none of you harm. I would dearly like to be your friend if any of you would have me as one."

"I would love to have you as my friend," Luna was the first to reply as she gave, Eirikia her hand. She then gave her a shy smile.

"In fact I open my heart to all of you—-if you want," she told each and very of the other girls. The truth was that Luna never had a friend before, the pain in her heart of being alone was heavier than anything in the world.

The Dream - Northstein Sigil Tower

((Using this post as reference.))

Lupi frowned as she watched a cat... squirrel... rabbit... thing mew-chirp at her before running off. "That's not an explanation!" she said aloud, to no one but herself. Taking a look around, she noted the glowy blue floor, the glowy blue walls, and how the glowy blue walls extended up to the glowy blue above.

Yup. Magic, she thought plainly. Tapping it with her little fist, she pondered, Think it reacts to more magic?

And so right around when Friggs arrived in that same tower, she likely felt an intense heat behind her - the pixie burning massive amounts of fire magic into a single spot, curious to see what'd happen.

A bit of sweat beaded off Lupi's forehead. Not from the fire. From her coat. I feel like I'm forgetting something.

While Chiara was poking her sacred altar with a stick, Kanin cleared her throat loudly. "Yes, they are alive. Please stop poking our altar with a branch."

Approaching the two remaining magical girls, the wolf priestess sat down, opening up a small basket before reaching in and handing Taki a sandwich. "I heard talk of being hungry, so I brought some snacks for you. It isn't much, but I hope it will do... where are the other two chosen girls?"

"There's nothing wrong with having a good friend" Kate commented. "If you want, you can come exploring with me and Scales! We're just going around seeing the sights of the world. I think Scales can carry one more person on him." Something just ticked to Kate. "Oh right, it would seem a bit silly riding someone his size but he's a shapeshifter, see look!"

Scales jumped off Kate's shoulder, landing onto the floor and turned into a slender, horse-sized dragon with a clear saddle on him and his bandanna growing to fit his new form. "Scales is a good flier. I mean I can fly but..." there was a short pause before Kate forced the words she was reluctant to say "...Scales flies better..."

Scales sent out "Hey, you look cooler riding a dragon, right?"

"I guess..." said Kate, in a voice that shared the enthusiasm of her last words...

Taki's quickly broken from her thoughts by the offer of food, giving out a delighted cry and fluttering her wings about when she sees the sandwich. As she continued along the path, Sara became increasingly aware of something following her. Slowing her pace to a walk and placing her hands on the grips of her guns, she continued a short while longer, approaching the large, rounded building the path seemed to be leading to, before whirling, Beck and Call in hand an the first words of an incantation on her lips.

The mewing sound from an apparently unconcerned cat-like being brought her up short.

"Adorable..." Sara sighed dreamily, coming quite close to putting down her guns and trying to scoop it up in her arms... before she remembered her priorities. Putting her weapons away once more, she smiled apologetically. "I wish I had cream or some catnip for you, but I've gotta go... sorry," she winced.

You're talking to a cat.

Shut up you... well, me. You know what I mean— I know what I— screw it!

Moving on towards the building, she slowed when she neared one of many entrances. Placing her hand against the wall, she crouched and began moving quietly through building until she heard voices, at which point she altered her path to take her towards the source.

Chiara nodded. "Yes, it does seem likely that some kind of teleportation is happening. Well, let's see what this does." She held out her hand, and her familiar trotted down her arm till it sat on the back of her hand. It reached out a paw delicately at tapped the sigil. "Now-"

"I was the one that gave you the sandwich?" Kanin reminded the harpy in a dry tone.

"...Sandwich?"

Most of the conversation, Sara had been unable to make out. But she did manage to catch the tail-end of it.

Two apostles?

Leaning around the corner, she caught sight of several girls, and some very strange beings.

Standing and cautiously moving into the doorway, she cleared her throat loudly.

Hercine, the Great Fountain

"My lady, I have to say, this is rather ridiculous," said Lavark in a deep voice uncharacteristic for a feathered serpent his size. "Your knowledge of water magics is...limited at best." He landed on the lip of the lowest tier of the fountain, right where Overnl had dunked her head into the water. Lavark preened his gold and white plumage for a moment before looking over at the silver-haired elf. "Haven't you been under long enough, my lady?" The serpent poked her arm with the tip of his golden, fluffy tail.

Overnl pulled her head out of the water, wheezing and shaking her out of her eyes. She glared at her companion. I've asked you not to do that during experiments. No words left her mouth, instead she used her telepathic link with the serpent to communicate. The irritable young elf shot daggers at several ogling bystanders. Her notoriety as a local Puella Magi and renowned eccentric was getting the best of her. I thought I told you keep away bystanders.

"This area is open to the public, my lady. While I can ask them to keep their distance, which they seem to be doing as it is, I can't force them away." The gold and white plumed serpent nodded politely as a man came to grab a drink from the massive water feature.

Doesn't matter, see them off. She paused, holding her chin as she peered over the ledge lining main basin. A faint white glow emanated from just under the lip of the stone. Her gold eyes sparkled. 'Vark? Do see that? That wasn't there last week.

"Hmm?" Lavark's eyes were closed as he sunned himself on the stone. He opened them and slithered over. "Are you referring to that faint light? Is this another prank, my lady? Last time, you nearly blinded-"

Overnl interrupted by reaching over, brushing a finger across the sigil just hidden below the lip. She vanished, leaving a faint afterimage.

"My lady!?" Lavark leaped, flaring his wings as he began to furiously slither about the area. Peeking over the edge, the serpent spied the sigil. He touched it with his snout and vanished.

The Dream

Ah, 'Vark! Glad you made it. Look at these walls! Hard light, I think. Whoever did this...good goddess, they're good. Overnl stood, tapping a section of the wall. Then, she licked it. Mmm...high quality stuff.

Lavark leaped and wrapped himself around her neck, nuzzling her face. "My lady, what have I told you about touching sigils?"

You haven't.

Apostles? One Apostle is bad enough but two Apostles? She's heard the stories of those monsters, how scary they are. It's her duty to deal with them as a magical girl but she hasn't even fought a monster before! What should she do...

"Don't worry Kate, if you fight the Apostles, I promise they won't lay a hand on you."

The message could only be heard by the half-elf and she knew the origin of it. Staring at Scales, the dragon gave a look of confidence, a bit of it rubbing off on Kate from the mere sight of it.

"Remember what I said? A familiar will always protect their master, with my might and your crossbow, we'll be able to take them on!"

"Yeah, let's take them down!" Kate's words were not only to Scales, but to assure the group she was going to fight the apostles. These girls might be more powerful than her, but she's not sitting on the sidelines! Kate hoped onto Scales and said "Come on, lets head the the apostles!"

"Uh, Kate?" Scales sent, this time to everyone, "We don't know where the apostles are right now, let alone what direction we need to get to them..."

"Oh, right..."
