Anyone know of examples of training tropes where the main point of the training is to gain an emotional competence more than some other skill? I can think of something similar to this in the Dark Knight training sequence with R'as al Ghul, where he tells Bruce, "To conquer fear, you must become fear. You must bask in the fear of other men. And men fear most what they cannot see. You have to become a terrible thought. A wraith. You have to become an idea! Feel terror cloud your senses. Feel its power to distort.. to control. And know that this power can be yours. Embrace your worst fears. Become one with the darkness."

I'm looking for training tropes where emotional development is a prominent if not main element.

This is my first post, so I do hope it's not out of line. Thanks!
