I still love the wallrun. Getting up really high on a wall is a surprisingly useful flanking method, or at least a means to get the literal drop on someone. Plus there are a lot of less obvious wall-run routes on maps like Evac. You can wall-run on basically any wall in the game, so long as it's reasonably uncluttered. Sometimes you can wall-run just below the edge of the map where you would normally fall off. That sort of utilization provides you cover and helps you to flank undetected.

Might grab the Season Pass. I like the bonus zombies map but I want to know what's in the actual DLC maps first. I'm liking the new map pack they've got coming out but the PS 4 getting it first kills me.

Why do they do that? Now I'll have to wait two months for one DLC pack!

[up][up]See that's the thing about BO 3's wallrun, it's mostly useful in individual situations but for the most part it doesn't change the whole flow of the game. I mean don't get me wrong, BO 3 does make a lot of movement related changed but the end result feels less like a new take on FPS movement but rather an extension of what the past few Call of Duty's were already doing.

Sorry about the cringey montage genre trappings but this is the kind of stuff that Titanfall's movement lets you do that Blops's doesn't. Titanfall's movement is big on momentum and using your momentum to propel yourself around the map, while BO 3 is more "static" and situational (yes I know some maps like Redwood have parts that are kind of like this but there very specific routes rather than an overall level design philosophy.) A big part of this is speed difference, as Titanfall's wallrun is a lot faster than regular sprinting while BO 3's wallrun is only slightly faster. Thus, Titanfall greatly incentives ninjaing through levels while BO 3 either expects you to use it in specific "wallrun areas" or to use it in specific situations like flanking and escaping.

I know it sounds like I'm bitching about "hurr Titanfall is better than Blops" but... I dunno I'm just trying to explore the differences and the reasons one might like one system over the other

As long as I can sprint across a large gap and hit an enemy 10 feet away with an explosive arrow before I hit the ground as they explode into chunks I'm perfectly fine.

Man, Infinite Warfare must've really burned Activision if they're still planning on toning down the futuristic tech elements from the BLOPS titles. Guess that also means we won't be seeing a proper sequel either, but instead a sort of interquel. At least we'll probably see the Masons again.

It's kind of a shame that we likely won't get a sequel to Ghosts or Infinite Warfare, if only to wrap up the stories.

[up]Especially Infinite Warfare. They basically had an excuse to re-hash the Killzone series, and the campaign had some excellent ideas that just needed a bit more length and polish to be excellent. Say for example, the starfighter sequences; I'd imagine them being tons better if they weren't stuck on rails when dogfighting certain targets, Assault Horizon style.

Ghosts also had an interesting concept to it, it just didn't work out for whatever reason in the story. Both of Infinity Ward's previous entries have both ended on strategic draws for both sides.

Infinite Warfare has both the SDF and SATO fleets destroyed and most of their military leadership dead, leaving them at a strategic impasse until both sides can rebuild their fleets. Ghosts has the last carrier fleet in the US destroyed and unlikely to get any real support, while the US now controls the LOKI satellites and has devastated the Federation military, but neither antagonist faction is likely to surrender as long as they have their leaders, plus the US is still on the back foot; they'd have to fight all the way through Central America and a good bit of South to get to Caracas.

Infinite Warfare would have done better had it not had Call of Duty in the name, to avoid whining from fans akin to DMC.

[up]A beautiful, beautiful mistake. tongue

But hey, at least its not as bad as those Skyrim/Fallout 4 mods that add a bunch of nude female models throughout the wasteland. Jarring as heck to see a bunch of butt-ugly dudes who properly look like they've lived through an apocalypse, only to see every single female look like she has the figure and makeup of a Victoria's Secret model.
