I always thought that all these discussion threads with only one post hadn't been opened, and I never looked at them.
Now it turns out that some of them have been opened. Seems like it's time to look at all fifty-plus one-post threads on the page.
Topic: I don't even see what this "trope" is about. Seems just like a list of certain tropes associated with certain genre.

Tropes Are Not Bad, but it seems like this page thinks they usually are. Despite that Tropes Are Tools which could be used well or poorly, this page seems to think some tropes are bad by default if used outside certain genres. It looks like it attempts to create a sort of "white list" of when (in what genres) certain tropes are "acceptable". Or alternatively, a list of when the use of certain tropes cannot be criticized or avoided. In some cases, it just decribes what certain tropes can be used for, which is already described on the tropes' pages. As for the "implausibilities" part of the page, it seems to just be Acceptable Breaks from Reality.
"Necessary" in itself seems to be a very subjective thing to determine in some cases. Not to mention that genre conventions are in constant flux, and what one might think of as "necessary" in one decade could be deemed "unnecessary" in the other.
Some examples of its use seem to be about when use of a certain trope is inevitable due to technology limitations, others seem to just be subjective justifications of a certain trope's use.
I'd suggest one of the following courses of action:
