The All-Purpose Hyperdimension Fanfiction Thread

Some things in the gaming industry is making me shake my head like Nintendo Amibos. If you're going to force people to by toys for content why are you selling DLC again?

Edit:But it's E3 right now I should be happy. So instead, have you guys noticed there seems to be a few stories shiping Uni with Noire and Nepgear with Neptune.

You can't jinx it, SCM, because it is already happening.

Games that sell millions of copies are called failures by publishers because of how much money was invested in them. The publishers are losing money, and losing developers because of course they refuse to realize that they are the ones at fault for the problems they create, and when the Publishers kick them out, the developers realize they don't need the publisher's cash to make a game.

One thing that annoys me...

Why are the consoles so concerned about graphics?

Face it, guys, you will never come even close to the kind of shit a PC can do.

A console is a dedicated gaming device. What you need to sell is convenience. Put the disk on, then play! The console has unchanging hardware. Abuse this fact. The developers should know exactly what they're working with. The Console should be infinitely easier to develop for than the PC, that's what gets you games, and games is what gets your console bought, so stop being such fucking idiots.

...

But seriously, the game industry likes to blame piracy, but the truth is, the bigger name companies are doing infinitely greater damage to the industry than pirates could ever do.

Fun fact: EA started out as a pirate company, sort of. They pirated the Genesis, as legally as they were allowed to. So, after all that, if you still wanna shift the blame to the pirates, you at least have an excuse.

Fun Fact: There was a time when we were happy to see the EA logo on something.

There was a time when it was a sign of quality assurance.

There was a time when EA had a logo that didn't make me want to punch it, back before they shat on everything else and focused solely on their yearly sports game releases and trying to sell Call Of Duty to people who already have Call Of Duty.

Some weird toughs:

• Something based on vidyagame emulators for computers, appearing as a goddess who supposedly kicked the bucket a long time ago but doesn't really remember anything. Not really evil but still pinging on everyone's radar as something fundamentally wrong.

• Similarly, something based on Kickstarter. With a bunch of people going "We are gonna make our own country, with blackjack and games people actually want!" and making it work.

An Emulator based goddess...

Hm... It could work.

Rather, instead of being something else, it'd have to be a replica of a long dead goddess, or an entity able to replicate the forms and powers of those goddesses of the past. Inferior in power to the actual goddesses but infinitely more versatile and with in-built cheat codes and hacking support... So basically fights like a TAS.

Similar. Arfoire copies current gen, though, the one I'm thinking of wouldn't be able to do that.

Would you say it's rather easy to pick on Noire?

Pathetically so.

The size of Noire's ego is only comparable to the size of her list of insecurities.

I think the only difficult part would be getting away with picking on her.

Oh, that's simple too.

Just do it remotely, like Anonydeath. Admittedly, it'll be difficult if you're, you know, not Anonydeath, but hey.

Also if you tease her in such a way that Vert, Blanc or Neptune find funny, they might save your life by transferring Noire's rage to them when they laugh.

Been on a binge of RWBY, and for the life of me I can't figure out a word you can make with the letters N, N, V and B. The cpu candidates are easier. They're team Runner (RUNR).

Well, I guess the goddesses can be Team Noob (NNVB).

What are your thoughts of the FNDM (fandom) fanfiction?

Haven't delved into the FNDM yet, but from comments, I gather they're MRNS. Well, I'll be doing XOVR mainly, like I always do. Already had the thought of trying to do something with KAMN RIDR or SUPR SNTY. Also the random NGMA of 10 y/o Ruby going to Beacon to be a teacher, so loli harem hijinx ensue.

So how do you guys feel about a female human Sonic the Hedgehog◊ in the next Neptunia game?

It crossover game with Sega Hard Girls so I'm guessing they're only putting the most popular characters in or characters needed for story.

Not a fan of the redesign to IF's clothes.

Incidentally, any news on when IF is bringing it over?

Some new art has popped up on Danbooru. From the looks of things, IF is the main character. Also from the looks of things, it's the Ultradimension we're dealing with. Can't say for certain, though. Oh, and it also looks like we're getting a good look at the inner workings of the Guild.

... You clearly have no idea who you're dealing with here.

If Compile Heart is involved, you can bet your house that it'll include fanservice with EVERY character.
