The game takes place in a world where those within their teens or twenties suddenly find themselves infected with a mysterious virus that temporarily weaponizes them if they acquire neurological enhancements, with the story itself revolving around a group of girls known as “Rebreakers” who are capable of freely wielding these weapons.
Actual gameplay consists of fighting swarms of enemy forces in teams of two in what’s being described as “3D battle action.” As the girls fight together, their synchronization increases and things such as their weaponization and combos can change. Battlefield conditions are described as being dynamic, able to change in the midst of fights. Extremely strong special attacks can also be unleashed that will tear up the clothes of both allies and enemies alike.
Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni is due out later this year in Japan.

The anime series is subtitled "Mermaid", the Vita game is subtitled "Bhikkuni", and the mobile game is subtitled "Siren".

The “beautiful girl sexy battle action” anime is set on five artificial islands. Mikako Izawa (Re-Kan!, Futs? no Joshik?sei ga Locodol Yattemita) will play Mamori Sh?jo (pictured above right), whose name means “maiden guardian.” Yuka Iguchi (Haganai, Girls und Panzer, Kan Colle) will play Mirei Shikishima (pictured above left).
Studio Arms? So the studio who made Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Girls, some Ikkitousen and Queens Blade seasons. Not bad but their most recent work Isuca has me worried, they straight up ruined that one.

Valk Drive is being made by the guys who made Senran Kagura, so you're guaranteed fanservice no matter what.
...If the guys who made Queen's Blade are also involved, the fanservice at this point is pretty much gonna be real.
add: I'm also wondering, given that the trailer shows the girls from the anime and the Vita game fighting each other, whether all of them will be part of a unified timeline (each media shows a different viewpoint), or will they have separate continuity?

Yup! I will never pretend I'm not shallow in the ways that I am, and I freaking LOVE Yuri. Those freakin' MEN can all go disappear for all I care! -ceases to exist-
The absurd popularity of the Harem has come close to making me ignore anime lately at times; I have SEEN that protagonist. He is NOT INTERESTING. The girls though? They actually have character. Sure, that character usually exists just to pander to specific "interests" but they can still be cool despite that. I always figured those series could all be improved significantly just by cutting out the male lead... And keeping the sexual tension around. Koihime Musou proved me right!
It doesn't hurt that Yuri is a perennially under-appreciated and underused genre. And when it does exist, it is very very susceptible to being the EXACT SAME GODDAMN STORY THAT YOU JUST READ. For some reason Yuri is either by-the-numbers or kind of... Bad.
But we are seeing a small surge in yuri recently. We have Sakura Trick, which is bog-standard but popular, Yuru Yuri which is really funny, Yuri Kuma Arashi which is freakin' WEIRD and even stuff like the manga Murcielago which is nooooooot what most people envision when they think of Yuri which proves the genre is finally moving in some new directions.
THE YURI RENAISSANCE IS HERE. I for one welcome our new schoolgirl overlords!

Anyways! Valkyrie Drive may just end up being more pointless pandering (Albeit pandering that's aimed at me) but it looks cool in its own right. Flashy weapon fights will never get old. The characters already show some personality. Boob physics need work.

Yeah, there's good stuff. I still subscribe to crunchyroll and everything. But pretty much half the series I've checked out in the last week because they where unfamiliar to me and have a cool action pose on the front have ended up being Harem series... It's absurd.

I also like High School Dx D. It may be a harem, but it has a Very Scott Pilgrim vibe to it, and the girls just go along and are amused at the main charcters blatant perversion instead of being instantly offended by him like every other harem out there.
Of course, it also has Azazel. Guys love the Azazel.

Rias Gremory is almost awesome enough to make me consider it, but I still got tired of the show's antics pretty quickly.
It's hard to consider the protagonists badass when they appear to be laying waste to legions of unarmed teenagers.
